Odds and Sods - Bombers at Ottawa RedBlacks
Noeller replied to do or die's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
It's unfortunate that our fans seem to think those same coaches, with all the LB experience, don't know what's up out there....... -
...Lapo's first year.....we lost so many friggin' close games. Like, by less than a TD.....it was just ridiculous. 4-14 or whatever we were....deceptive record.
-
Not exactly......but I'd definitely be willing to bet teams are sending in tape to the league for review, of guys like Sukh Chungh, who regularly "take liberties" on the field.......once the league sees a pattern of behaviour (as there definitely is with a guy like SC) they'll start watching a lot more closely. I'm sure we've done it to other teams...
-
I'd believe this...
-
there's more to it than just that....but ya....relax...it's all good.....
-
there won't be anymore tweaks until the end of the season, I'm betting....
-
I can't help but feel like ever since you sat with Burris on that plane ride, you've been a not-so-closeted RBs fan.......boooooo to you, sir....
-
We've definitely developed a reputation among the refs, so there's no sliding under the radar on those ticky tacky things anymore...
-
Agreed... The play was out of bounds. Wouldn't have mattered.
-
I'm completely fine with that game in and game out.
-
There's always been calls like that and there likely always will be. It's part of the game and usually those things even themselves out over the course of a game. As I said earlier, I'm just glad we didn't need a challenge later on...
-
Hurl was solid, if unspectacular, yet again tonight....
-
I don't like the "We got called a lot so the refs were bad/against us" thing. We were full marks for most of those calls. As Jim Carrey famously said in Liar Liar, "QUIT BREAKING THE LAW, *******!!!"
-
I want Hammy to win and get it out of their system but they're just not good enough. This is a bad football team....
-
Calls for or against aside, how much fun was it watching a game and not constantly worrying about challenges? God I forgot how much I love the pace of the game, at its most natural..
-
OL didn't necessarily have "their worst game" tonight, but they took too many crucial penalties, for sure. They're still arguably the best OL in the league, and for the most part, provided great protection. At least one sack was on Harris, not the OL...
-
that is awesome -- thank you very much!
-
And not to jinx it, but no way is McDuffie in game shape right now, and how could he possibly have a full understanding of their blocking yet? I'm not saying he couldn't bust one....give him a seam and watch him go....but I don't know that he's THAT much of a worry compared to Harris-to-Ellingson all night...
-
Separated shoulder for Frito....expected to miss 4-6 weeks, which should likely end the Argos season (tho, in saying that, the East is so bad, it won't take much to make the playoffs....)

Enjoying the tweaks for the most part. One little thing I've noticed....when I'm on mobile (and only mobile).....there is only an option to mark the entire messageboard (all forums) as read. I can't just mark the individual forum as read.....
-
First time in recent memory that I have full confidence in the WBB to win against every team in the league....we are good enough, across the board, to beat anyone. Just a matter of executing our game properly...we do that, we win, every time.
-
This drives me absolutely bonkers...
-
...I still like him better than Steinbrenner...
-
Kickoff at 5pm out west here, and I work till 6. Debating if I should watch the first Q at work, then bolt home......stay in blackout mode till 6pm, and then start the PVR from the beginning......or just ditch outta work an hour early and take the chance on wrath of boss......decisions, decisions..... As for the game itself, I think Medlock might be key tonight. If he is healthy (I'm still not sure) and can get back to normal, he could be the decider. If he's still hurting or just in a funk or whatever....could really hurt us. It'll be a tight game...
