I don't think they NEED to, but I'm not against trading Laine if they get enough return for him. I want nothing less than a stud D in return...

2019-20 Grey Cup Champs Off-season discussion.
Can't remember if I posted this or not, but I don't think I've ever watched an entire NFL game, front to back......but damn it if Strev isn't going to make me a AZ Cards fan yet....

Labour Day Week
I have a friend that I used to work with in Dauphin, but is from SW Sask.... he and his buddies were season ticket holders in high school during what he called "The Al Foord Years", and said it's just about the darkest time in Riders history. I always had a modicum of respect for the guys that stuck it out during those years until Shivers and Barrett came along and gave them at least something respectable. Having said that, all those guys became real mouthy assholes after 2007, so they can go **** themselves with a rusty fork...

Labour Day Week
Not sure if anyone has been following along, but Tait's been doing a great series of "Labour Day Memories" on www.BlueBombers.com this week. All Bombers wins, of course...today's was a fun one from 1987 when Tom Clements rallied the team with 2 TDs in about 2 minutes to win the game.

for those that remember "Blue Fan" Brent Shule from back in the OB.com days........

Labour Day Week
Kendial Lawrence indeed..... I always remember it as Demski knifing his home town but clearly a different year. https://www.cfl.ca/2016/09/04/recap-winnipeg-28-saskatchewan-25/

Random thought, but I'm loving the resurrection of Hutchinson in Colorado. I dunno how long it's gonna last but good for him. There was a time I thought he was gonna be a long term answer for the Jets....

Labour Day Week
Not online, but I have it on DVD.....

Labour Day Week
that's a God-awful video, but fitting for that dump of place. What a win....I remember Demski returning the kick late and going "well, here's Labour Day for you......" and then we pull it out of the fire with a Meddy walk-off.....unreal. What a game.

Covid-19
I'd be more worried about school re-opening than the long weekend.....the petri dish is about to explode.

Labour Day Week
Fabulous stuff. I was looking at the Score app last night and saw "Wpg @ Sask - PPD".....wanted to cry. What a shame this summer/fall is........ Praying for a 2021 season so we can kick the **** out of those assholes again.

2020 Thread
Speaking of the CFLs brief foray into the U.S., Lions beat writer Ed Willes announced his retirement the other day. He wrote a book called End Zones and Border Wars: The Era Of American Expansion in the CFL.... I've never read it but was told that it's absolutely fantastic, so I ordered it on Amazon. Can't wait to read it. Might be of interest to others on here...

I kinda liked Wiebe's take, saying they should move Wheeler to 2C full time, and move Laine to RW1 full time.....

Covid-19
Just wanted to clarify -- we had relatively high case numbers over the weekend, but HUGE test numbers. Our positivity rate wasn't that bad. We had 109 cases Sunday/Monday based on +12,000 tests. The "big" number of 185 Sat-Sun was based on +11,000 tests. So yes, I agree, in theory, that Jason Kenney is a lunatic who's dooming us all to hell, but in terms of pure COVID data, this weekend wasn't that bad.

Oh no, we were in theatres opening weekend for it. Yes AsGuardians will be really interesting. I think it's a neat mash up. Widow will be good, too...- The RIP 2020 Thread
it's definitely only going to get Space-ier and nerdier....... I feel like the best of the earth-based stuff has passed. Not sure how much I'll be in to what comes next, but we shall see. Spiderman will still be good, I guess...- The RIP 2020 Thread
that's what I said to my wife. We were talking about M'Baku, but Shuri would make for a good progressive choice...- The RIP 2020 Thread
we've been working our way through the MCU the last few months, and last night was Endgame. Man, it was tough watching the Chad Boseman scenes.....cripes. Don't know what they're going to do with that franchise now...- Covid-19
one of my best friends from HS is stumping right now on his FB page for HCQ as an effective treatment because a vaccine will likely never come. Also says that suicides and other "lockdown-related" deaths are greatly outnumbering the deaths caused by COVID itself, so apparently the lockdown is worse than the disease. I just sat there staring at the screen for a couple of minutes. I mean, this is a guy who graduated from school of geniuses With Honours..........aaaaaaaaaaaand yet.........................................?- The RIP 2020 Thread
Underrated Chad Boseman movie -- Draft Day (with Costner). He was great and obviously his take on T'Challa was fabulous. I still have never seen his take on Jackie Robinson in "42" and I really need to get around to that...- 2020 Thread
Alberta gets a lot of love as the Home For Backwoods Redneck Assholes, but honestly, Sask is right up there. One of Canada's first and only KKK homes was southern Sask.- Covid-19
I've had one done in June, and I'm getting a second done tonight in order to have the results before I potentially travel next weekend, and then I'll get a 3rd done when I return from travel. Just to be completely safe and sound. AB is very proactive in terms of asymptomatic testing. Available in virtually all drug stores across the province....Shopper's and Loblaw's pharmacies, for sure, anyhow....- Do You Use Chat?
I agree. I'm not gonna get into a whole thing, but as has been mentioned before, this whole place got shittier when Jets Fans Who Aren't Really Bombers Fans discovered the place and kinda took over, and ask all sorts of ridiculous and inane questions, and post things that really don't jive with the original core crew of this place. But.......that's just one grump old man's take. - The RIP 2020 Thread
