Derek Taylor (DT) named new voice of the Blue Bombers
No. My understanding is that he was so good (or popular) on the Wolf morning show that they didn't want to take him off that. As an olive branch, he was given a role within the Riders broadcast. That's my understanding of the situation. Country radio is a small world and we're all friends, to a degree....

Derek Taylor (DT) named new voice of the Blue Bombers
as I'd speculated earlier, it looks like Michael Ball (long time CKRM/The Wolf announcer) is going to be the next Riders PBP voice. He'd wanted the gig really badly when Taylor got hired and there were some complications at that point....but looks like he won't be denied this time. Good for him...he's been a good foot soldier over there for a long time.

that's tough...don't wish an injury like that (significant) on anyone, especially someone who gave so much to the WBB FC. Get well soon, Stove!!

2019 GC at McMahon.... Nothing in my life will ever top it.- The TV Thread
Yes! I'm a huge Apatow-Universe fanboi, so Segel is one of my guys for sure, and he's a big basketball guy, so he fits this role well. Brody is great in anything. I was reading some pans of the show, and was disappointed that the critics apparently hate it. Read a take from Kareem today (he's 75 but still very active online) who called it boring.... Really hates it.- The TV Thread
Solid 2 hour premiere for Saul last night...going to be a great final season! Anyone watching "Winning Time" on Crave? John C Reilly is great as Dr Jerry Buss, who built the Lakers and the LA Forum as a marquee destination in the early 80s. Really enjoying it so far...- Canadian Politics
I'm wildly in favour of any and all firearms control, but that feels like a federal jurisdiction rather than provincial. A weird thing for Ontario to make a stand on...- The most incredible public moment you have seen in person
Definitely please move to the Gen Forum, and start a "Favourite Bombers Moment You Saw Live" thread here...- Three-peat Kickoff Countdown

My biggest take away was that the Riders were nowhere to be seen, which is always great. No Habs either... Interesting.- 2021/22 - CFL Offseason - Non-Back-to-Back Grey Cup Champion Thread

It's really incredible, the work that meteorologists do. One of the most inexact sciences there is and yet they're close more often than not. Thank GOODNESS they gave the warning for this storm that they did, and gave people the opportunity to prepare for the worst- The Weather

My money is still on B'Lakay to make the opening day roster behind Bailey, Ellingson, Woogie and Demski.... But this is an interesting signing, if the guy is healthy.- The Weather
Killarney up over 60cm already and still falling.... But ya, much ado about nothing.- Top 5 Bomber QBs
If I remember (from reading books about that era) correctly, Jacobs was a DB who really wanted to play QB and they wouldn't let him in the NFL, so he came to Winnipeg with the promise that he could play QB. He also played some DB and kicked (which was often the case back then....wasn't a specialty position as now). Everything I've read is that he's one of the very best to ever do it.- The Weather
