  1. I'm not pointing fingers, but man it has gotta be exhausting being sour/angry/negative all the time about seemingly everything. I have faith in this regime because they haven't steered me wrong yet. I have faith in a raw kid who kicked 92% in CIS. I have faith in an American guy whose only real issue (apparently) was the angles of a much larger field. We have a whole camp to get it figured out and if they don't have someone they like, there are dozens and dozens of kickers out there that can be brought in.
  2. Jesus Christ with the hand wringing in March.....
  3. I'm definitely willing to give Mourtada and Legghio another shot. The L'ks clearly spent way more than we could offer, and that's fine. They'll need the kicking points more than we will....
  4. Best to ever do it at that position, men's or women's...

  6. Pinawa guy here...raised with the idea that nuclear is great. There's issues with the disposal of waste, but for the most part it's a really safe alternative. It's unfortunate that Atomic Energy Canada mostly pulled out of Manitoba in the late 90s, but "SMR's" (Small Modular Reactors) are becoming a thing now, and Pinawa has been courting a company pretty heavily over the last several years to hopefully come there and set up shop.
  7. Is that actually a thing, or is that a Sun Media line that's been trotted out until people started believing it as fact...
  8. Chrystia leading the Grits and Charest (I think...I need more time to read up on his platform) leading the Tories would have me feeling a lot better about Canada as a whole.
  9. ehhhh... I'm not so against Trudeau. I don't necessarily think he's the smartest guy in any room he's in, but I definitely don't have the strong dislike that so many others do. I was raised that his dad is the greatest PM in Canadian history, so I went into his "reign" with a positive mindset. I think he's a good guy that wants to do the right thing, but isn't necessarily smart enough....but that's just my take.
  10. This pandemic has never been about us as individuals but about society as a collective. It'll never cease to amaze me how many selfish assholes are out there thinking this is about them. This is about everyone else around us, and has been since the beginning. Nothing is over until the virus says it's over.
  11. where we have a bit of advantage over the European trends (and why those trends aren't always indicative of what happens here) is population density. It's likely we're going to see an uptick, but likely not as severe because we're so spread out in Canada. At any rate, I'm 3x vaxx (and ready for the 4th this summer) and have just kicked Omi V1, so I'm feeling pretty ready for whatever happens next.
  12. I was wondering if I was on crazy pills.... How do people forget about Bob's induction in like 4 months.... Lol. Jesus Christ you guys....
  13. Gotta keep in mind NJ is awful. Still.... 6pts back of a playoff spot now. All you can do is win and let the chips fall where they may.
  14. So I found out about this website: http://www.albertaev.ca/faqs/ (Alberta Electric Vehicle Association) and there's some interesting stuff incl: How do EV's handle winter? Incredibly well! Most EVs have a number of advantages over other vehicles. There is never a fear that they won’t turn start, even on the coldest days. As there is no oil, there is no worry that it becomes too cold and thick, nor is there a concern about a 12V battery getting too weak, failing to turn the engine over, or the starter motor failing. No more need to stand outside on a frigid morning refueling the vehicle at a gas station! It takes just a second to plug an EV in at the end of the day, and it will be full and ready to go well before you are the next day! Perhaps the best part of winter EV ownership is that they heat up super fast! Not relying on the waste heat of the gasoline engine, most EVs instead use resistance heating, which generates heat nearly instantly. Yes this does consume a bit of battery, but even with any range impact, almost all EVs easily handle the Canadian average daily driving instance. Additionally, as next generation EVs are coming to market, with their larger batteries and thus increased range, the impact of winter range loss is quickly becoming a moot point even for drivers that greatly exceed daily driving averages.
  15. sounds a lot like my home town (Pinawa) which does have a charger installed in town...
  16. still need to watch S5.....really hoping that comes to Netflix soon, so I can get caught up...
  17. Universal DH just makes too much sense....glad to see it. Got my new Bichette jersey ordered and I'll be ready to roll for the start of the season!
  18. So I'm just an ignorant dummy......what do you guys see as the future of "gas stations", as we know them now? Is it as simple as the pumps get replaced by fast-charge stations? More complex than that?
  19. "....Funeral's on Tuesday!!...." ".......shuuudddddduuuuupppppp....."
  20. I would be SHOCKED if there wasn't one along the way....I'm not sure on the direct route to Thompson, but Dauphin or The Pas has gotta have at least one, you'd think.
  21. Yeah, that's really what I need... a Silverado EV. Crazy that they're already limited on availability...
  22. he fit the bill.....after elfen Tom Cruise, people were happy it was close enough. This dude was a mountain.
  23. re: EV's..... I thought the GM Superbowl ad said they were going to be exclusively producing EVs by 2025. Not sure if there's "fine print" that goes with that, or what, but I was intrigued anyhow....
