  1. Of course we were... He's ours. But there's a limit. Walters doesn't overpay.
  2. Harris who might be retiring? I don't think that's a thing (Harris woo-ing Demski to TO)...... but it's absolutely possible Demski will chase the largest payday, wherever that might be...
  3. 17to85 said to me "this feels like the Sukh Chung thing all over again..." and that might be about right. Wildly over-paying for a Guard that is supposed to be the core of their OL but never really lived up to it. Definitely possible.....
  4. Knowing what we know now about Bobby Hull's off-ice life..... it's tough to say a lot of good things about the man. Having said that, if not for Bobby Hull coming to town, there may not be hockey in YWG today, so everyone should be thankful for that. An absolute legend on the ice.
  5. I saw a quote on Twitter where Bowness said that he's still dealing with the "demons of last year".... So while I'm not sure exactly what that means, it definitely means there's work to do and likely bodies to be moved out.
  6. So good! Stoked for next one Thursday!
  7. Two weeks ago, Bowness was going to be Jack Adams winner. Now we're questioning if he's lost the room.... Yikes.
  8. Just for some context, that quote was taken from a piece suggesting it's a great thing that O'Day isn't re-signing many players from last year, which is probably accurate. That team was **** and almost nobody deserved to be brought back.
  9. JEREMY ODAY IS A GREAT GM AND EVERYTHING IS FINE HERE!!
  10. AB voting preferences......sigh............ there are a LOT of people with little to no post secondary education. Just went straight into the oil patch after HS (if they graduated)....and that explains a lot.
  11. the ones who apparently make up the 50%+ that want to elect her in May..... rural AB is every stereotype you can possibly imagine and it is slowly killing me inside.
  12. He could absolutely be at least the 2nd option on virtually any team in the league. He's an American version of Demski, in a lot of ways. Does so many good things and if he was given more targets, I have no doubt he'd light it up.
  13. CBC made a statement today that they stand by all their reporting re: Coutts blockade nonsense. I have absolutely zero doubts Smith is the one in the wrong. She's a lunatic.
  14. I try to be diplomatic most days......
  15. Lots of buzz around this Rian Johnson/Natasha Lyonne "Poker Face" right now, so we watched the first couple (streaming only on CityTV+ via Prime Video) and it's full marks for all the rave reviews so far. Really really good show.
  16. with most of us getting more back on those rebates than we spend in carbon pricing each year.......it's just so ******* ridiculous when the morons complain about it.
  17. Talk on twitter of Dane going to Ottawa to run the same 1a 1b system with Masoli that they had in Ham. Would love to see that if for no other reason than Sask having to trot out Faj and Fine again in '23. That team is going to be SO bad and there's absolutely no way to fix it in time for this coming season....
  18. But, without triggering Terry, that contract will get torn up and a raise will be given (rightfully) if he chooses to return.
  19. Sheed does everything asked of him. His stats aren't "relatively low" because he can't be a top tier receiver.... it's just that he's used differently. On another team, as the 1st or 2nd option, he'd likely have huge stats. So it's not that he isn't worth the money. The only way he leaves is if he feels like another team will give him a chance to be a star...
  20. only way he fits is at a VERY cost-effective price.... with his injury history, it's tough to justify any real money, especially when Lawler and Lewis and maybe Schoen are out there looking for big $$$....
  21. this is really just a silly, nonsensical piece, but from the Bombers section: WINNIPEG BLUE BOMBERS NOTABLE RET Janarion Grant As explosive and smooth as any return man in the league, Janarion Grant has to stay in Winnipeg or he’ll make them pay with a game-changing play, the same way he boosts the Bombers win probabilities every time he touches the ball. UNLIKELY REC Shaq Evans Shaq Evans needs a change of scenery and the Bombers could be just what the doctor ordered. I’m not sure of his pure fit here, but I could see his production returning to his breakout season in Saskatchewan and he’d certainly spice up Labour Day Weekend. LOCK: REC Greg Ellingson He loves Collaros, and he should. They were meant to play football together. PERSONAL REQUEST DL Micah Johnson This would be chaos, but as my mind wanders through this article creation process I had to laugh at how ridiculous Willie Jefferson and Jackson Jeffcoat would be with Micah Johnson eating up multiple players inside.
