  1. And he's arguably the best premier in charge during my adult life. An apt comparison.
  2. Oh she's great... As 17to85 often says, she's one of the best politicians in Canada. Alberta desperately needs her.
  3. She is definitely an Orange Con for sure. Has almost no ties to any federal parties based on ideology.
  4. it's gonna be Capo or Stanley.... and Heinola in the box, I'm pretty sure. It really doesn't matter at this point, with no Morrissey, Ehlers or Perfetti.... the Jets just don't have the horses right now.
  5. Bowness said no to Heinola or another Moose player, as it wouldn't be fair to throw them in against the top team in the West when they haven't played at this level in awhile. It'll be one of the current roster players who subs in, but a Moose D will get called up as the emergency back up D.
  6. Tuende Adeleke the top paid DB..... Anyone here woulda guessed that if you were asked?
  7. Wife and I decided to check out Super Mario Bros last night..... It...... Exists. If you grew up playing all the various games, there's a lot of "ahhh I remember that..." but as a story, there's really not much there.
  8. Well, I mean they both killed people....
  9. Morrissey out for the series. I don't see any way they can pull this out.
  10. Right?? So because the province of Sask is a known hotbed of assholes and crazy people (as I said, it's like if all of rural AB was a whole province) and approves of that psycho being in charge, doesn't prove some kinda positive point! Trying to say it's stable maybe? Because EVERYONE is crazy and they've elected the chief crazy to run the asylum?? Ai yi yi.
  11. Ya Sask is what happens when rural Alberta is a whole province. Manitoba is small enough, and Wpg-centric enough, that Winnipeg can save the province from rural Manitobans that want to go back to 1950s ideals.
  12. Sask is stable???? Moe is arguably the worst and craziest provincial leader, and that is REALLY saying something!
  13. Interestingly, this candidate had thoughts on MB elex as well...... said that it should be an absolute blowout for the NDP, but they have a nearly un-electable leader, which is going to make it a lot closer than it should be. Said Brian P's insistence on maintaining his Costa Rican residence for nearly half the year would be unthinkable in AB Poli, and that Heather S's inability to communicate has been her downfall. Was laughing about how poor of a public speaker she is....said "say what you want about our current leader (Danielle S) but she's at least a good public speaker"..... On a somewhat side note, a federal politician that I was with at the same event told me that he cancelled his Edmonton CFL tix after more than 20 years because he was so disgusted with the name change to Elks and "caving to this unhinged political correctness"........sigh. #Burta
  14. after a good chat with a candidate in the upcoming AB elex...... UCP believe it will be the closest election in more than 50 years and that it will come down to 16,000 votes, based on their data. 16k in Calgary. They're campaigning the city hard, trying to spread as much money around as possible to cover those 16k. Going to be very very interesting.
  15. Demski is a key piece in all of this, to me. If the kid was too dumb to make it, I think Demski would have said something. For sure Walters would have checked with him. So hopefully this is all much ado about nothing and the kid turns out to be a superstar and a good person that fits in.
  16. someone should ask the Stamps beat writer about picking up a 35 year old coming off an achilles injury..............
  17. Well, the thing is we DID see it from him circa 2018, but he's since lost it. I think it's still in him, it just looks like he's stopped caring. He might get back to where he was as arguably the Jets best player (hard to remember those times) with another team where he's re-energized.
  18. I still think he has it in him to be a really great player in this league, but I don't think it'll be in Winnipeg. He needs a fresh start, so hopefully they can deal him without getting completely fleeced.
  19. it's one thing if 55 had been absent.....invisible... but he was an outright liability last night. Not sure if he's hurt or what, but that's a guy that should be leading the way....he's the definition of a passenger at this point.
  20. Is Scheiffele doing anything positive to contribute in this series? If he's not doing something to be a hindrance, he's not doing anything at all.... Really disappointed in that guy.
  21. fair enough...if we're talking about getting hot at the right time, just enough to lose in the final.... I can absolutely see that. Edmonton, Calgary, Montreal, Ottawa, Vancouver (and even 2018 Jets, to a degree) have all had their chance to make a run only to lose in the final. I could definitely at least PERCEIVE of this...
