Popp has to go. What a terrible coach. And some fans want Carter here? Ugh, no thanks.

None of their names were released, so how were they shamed?
Hopefully they do.

So, now we're like Rider Fans. This is a lie. A conspiracy because it could never happen here. Bomber fans would never do that. Bomber fans would never bully a kid. This woman is making Winnipeg look bad. Think again. No reason to think it couldn't happen.

Trades I remember with the Argos :
1967: S D i c k Thornton traded to Toronto
1969: RB Dave Raimey traded to Toronto for QB Wally Gabler
1971: QB Don Jonas & SE Jim Thorpe traded to Winnipeg from the Argos
1971: C Pierre Desjardins traded to Toronto for C Bob Swift
1980: DL Ecomet Burley traded from Argos to Winnipeg
1980: S Paul Bennett traded to Bombers from Argos

Fullback Mark Bragagnolo, Nick Bastaja and a 3rd round pick to Winnipeg for LB Duncan MacKinlay, DT Leon Lyszkiewicz and OT John Malinosky.
That was a great trade for us... Bastaja was a mainstay at guard for us for years. Braggagnolo was a very good fullback.

Why go straight to the media with this story? It always annoys me when people do that. Why not give the team a chance to make it right before you opt for the public shaming?
No way. Glad they went to the media. The guy deserves to be publicly shamed at Portage & Main.

I for one can not believe this guy is from any football sites. We might be very vocal but that as far as it gets.
Anyone adult who bullies kids is a ****. Why would anyone just assume someone from here would do that?

In other news, the Riders signed former 73 year old DT Ed McQuarters to a new contract.

Yeah, they knew it. Stupid call but thank you Chris Jones two games in a row.

Sometimes teams are mediocre because of the QB tho. Football and hockey man. .. the 2 sports where 1 guy can make the difference between being a playoff team or not... QB and Goaltending. Lots of similarities there

The Year Of The Cat was 2015. The Collaros injury robbed them of a Grey Cup victory. They were killing teams at home & were just playing outstanding football. When Collaros went down that was the end of it. Took the wind out of their sails. That & the fact their backup qbs suck & still do.

This is all win for Wpg as far as I see it. We solidify the qb position. We get an additional first round pick next year. We add a starting DB from the Argos to improve our secondary. Walters earned his paycheque today.

Oh yeah a team that got a hall of famer qb in Ray hurt because they couldn't protect him and made him look ordinary is going to prove a lot.
The guy is a professional football player. He has to prove himself no matter where he plays. He has to have the ability to play well no matter who is surrounding him. I don't feel badly for him because he has to play on an average team.

At some point the Bombers had to cut bait & go home. Willy's time was over. I had a feeling it was. The Bombers obviously don't think Willy will progress any further developmental wise from now on. They see him everyday at practice & in meetings. There must've been something there they didn't like or were concerned about. Is Willy any better than LeFevour? Did anyone ever think we'd get anywhere near what we got from the Argos for Willy? I sure didn't. We came out smelling like a rose, I believe.

A) colour me stunned that JV5 sees this as a bad thing.. shocked! Shocked I say! Lol...
B ) if you don't see this as a huge win for us and Walters, you are deliberately looking for negatives. I hate Glenn. It's well known and documented.. that said, he is one of the best backups in the league. cheaper then Willy and I'd honestly trust him over Willy at this point. we CAN win with Glenn if push comes to shove.. Willy is still an unknown. adding one very good DB to the mix of our current crop is not a bad thing.. never have too much depth in the cfl where injuries happen daily. Plus 1 first rounder and a 3rd rounder?? great deal by Walters and nobody here can tell me that Glenn isn't at LEAST as good as Willy.. Minimum. they are a wash and we got lots of assets back.. also my quoting is broken
QuoteQuoteGetting a first rounder in the deal is outstanding... And I have no idea why this thing is showing additional quote boxes

Apparently that came from Walters himself.

But... you can't compare Nichols quick release to Willy's. Nichols gets rid of the ball quickly while Willy holds on to the ball too long & gets killed. There's an expression coaching qbs... "Trust your eyes". If you see it's open then throw it. Willy's problem is he doesn't trust his eyes. He sees open receivers but he hesitates. The tight window opens & closes fast in pro football. It's there & then it's gone. That's the difference between the 2. Willy has to overcome those doubts, trust what he sees & throw the ball. If he doesn't then his career as a player may be coming to an end.
Posted this a few minutes before I heard about the trade. But still valid. Maybe AC can get more out of Willy than LaPo & Buck could here.
