Sherritt looked like he was going half ass on that play. Barely resisted the half block by Bergman.
-
Messam looked a lot faster than I thought he was on that TD run.

Well, the way this discussion went on the subject here were the same way in Calgary. Stamps to their credit (I believe) didn't back down to the people who complained.

It's a jersey. It is what it is. Whatever. If football jerseys get your undies in a bunch.... there's really very little that wouldn't
My thoughts exactly... It's a football jersey. Remember when the Jets unveiled their jersey & logo how some said it glorified the military & war? Someone is always gonna ***** about something.

Throw Line Bannatyne makes a good point.
But even if they are seeking that cowboy imagery, how doesn't that glorify gun violence?
People get offended. To me it's laughable that guns on a jersey spark outrage. It did 2 years ago.

There ya go... Another PI call.

What does the image of guns have to do with Calgary? Pioneers wearing pistols on their hips never happened except maybe at the Stampede.
The West. Cowboys. People wore guns a hundred & thirty years ago.

A conspiracy? I'm sickened by it.

The Enigma that is Anthony Parker. if he played hard all the time he'd be a CFL All Star. But game to game & even play to play within a game you don't know what effort you'll get from him. Even after 6 seasons he has too many brain farts on the field.
-
I don't. I think Pederson has snapped. He complains about the lack of integrity of the CFL. He needs to look at what he says & how he acts as he has absolutely no integrity as a cough, cough so called journalist. I hope that something comes of his comments. That he is put in his place.
-
If Pederson is an employee of the Riders then he should be subject to a suspension & fine by the CFL. He's accusing the league of a conspiracy & therefore attacking the integrity of the game. He needs to be slapped down & slapped down hard

How does this guy have a job?
Seriously **** him. You idiot Pederson.

Just an aside but referring to the Stamps jerseys today. They were introduced 2 years ago & some people complained that the 2 guns crossed on the shoulder pads actually glorified gun violence. Political correctness at its worst. Glad the Stamps stood their ground, didn't cave & change them.

I gotta admit. I absolutely love the stamps helmets!
They'd look better if they were red in front changing to black.

Maas being Jones on challenges.

That base is back to where they were before. They're Priders. Not Rider Fans.

It's always good to see Chris Jones blame others for his mistakes.

That game is the riders Grey Cup every year. Like Durant said this is 1 game they don't lose at home. They lost.
Screw them. They've been lucky a lot of the time over the years. They got the calls from the refs at the most opportune time over & over in a lot of these games.

That dude is a prime candidate for a coronary. Glad it wasn't that serious...
He has to change just about everything in his life when it comes to lifestyle & food. I hope he's okay & realizes that he needs to change.

Okay wait... Jones thought the non PI call against Adams was a bad call. He was seen on TSN explaining to the ref why it should have been PI. I guess the ref learned something and decided that the next one was PI...
How could he be mad that one was clled PI when he also thought the previous one was PI?
Don't even try to figure Jones out. I don't even think he knows.

To me the difference between an average team and a good team is what they do with the ball on 1st down inside the opponent's 20 yard line.
As much as I liked Medlock kicking 7 FGs, I felt like our play selection in the red zone is not getting the job done.
My working theory is that on first down, we are throwing the ball into the endzone and if that does not work we are left with a low percentage 2nd and long.... hence low redzone production. The defense is under extra pressure near their goal line and tighten up. The usual dink and dunk doesn't work the same because the entire D is creeping up when we are inside the 20. There are ways to spread the defense out but I don't think we are finding them.
What do you think will improve our redzone production?
What did we do when we got into scoring range on first down? We threw deep downfield & weren't successful. Instead of using Harris on 1st down or throwing underneath to extend drives either LaPo or Nichols got impatient & tried to score quick which killed every drive we had other than the TD. LaPo & Nichols have to be smarter & extend drives. Other than Dressler & Denmark we don't have the receivers to go out & make those highlight reel catches. So, be patient & burn the clock. Shorter passes or run on 1st down. Make it easier to convert on 2nd down.

Anyone who says guns weren't part of our history back in the 19th century is kidding themselves. I doubt many people in Philadelphia & New York carried guns 140 years ago either as they would have considered themselves as civilized. But in the American Wild West people did. Same in Canada back then in the West. Maybe people didn't in Ottawa, Montreal & Toronto but the big cities today in Western Canada or the Northwest Territory as it was called then either still didn't exist or were whistle stops on the CP rail line or before. People carried guns in Western Canada. We were lucky we never had problems with tribes in Canada going to war against the white settlers like they did in the US.
