I hope people don't expect this to instantly change the offense. Trying to put in a new offense in week 7 just isn't going to happen, the biggest change will be play calling so hopefully that makes things look better but it'll be a long process transitioning to any kind of new offense at this point.

ugh I hated the jerseys the Lions had on. The matte helmets were good but the all black with a wee little bit of bright orange are no good.

if we based it on the first half then yeah I agree but that 2nd half was not so great and made it a lot closer.

That zone defense they try and play is just abysmal. Too many holes all over the field in that. It has to go. I'd rather get beat playing man like this defense used to because at least then you're giving the players a chance to make plays.

Hall missed guys as badly as Goltz missed that throw, Pierce has missed guys as bad as that throw. Stop trying to make this sound worse than it was. Even Ricky Ray has over thrown receivers at times too.

Still faster than Pierce. Pierce is the guy who should be #3. I don't really care which of Hall or Goltz are starting just so long as it's not Pierce.

this game is LOL worthy. Riders are not sharp at all, but the als are just brutal. Calvillo and Bourke hurt too ain't making it any better for them.

Poblah was over rated by every GM in the league. Hell the argos woulda brought him to camp as an american before his eligibility as a NI was clarified.

I noticed Poblah a grand total of two times last night, once was an absolutely unforgivable drop, the other time he was absolutely blown up by a block on an INT return. If Poblah was cut would anyone care? Has he done anything in the last 2 years that is a positive contribution to the team?

but there are things Goltz can do passing that Hall can't. I've seen Goltz thread some passes into tight spaces that Hall just doesn't have the arm strength to do. They're different qbs for sure and I dunno if Goltz is going to develop into something good or not, but you are entirely too hard on the kid and too easy on Hall. Hall did some good things and some bad things, same as Goltz. There isn't a lot to choose between the two in my mind and it comes down to what kind of qb you want out there.

I just think that coaches are there to make players better and our coaches aren't doing it.

iso with more "everything Joe Mack has done is terrible" attitude. You are simply too anti-Mack to be taken seriously at this point. You are seriously understating how bad this team has been under Burke. Lapo gets fired and in the easiest game in the history of sports to get a team fired up to play the team rolled over and died. They did the same thing 2 weeks later in Calgary. Burke is not inspiring anyone on that team to be better, lots of guys have regressed since he took over. He is Jim Daley 2.0 as a head coach.

Denmark was the consensus runner up for rookie of the year in his first season, Matthews was the rookie of the year, you expect me to believe these guys just lost their talent? Seems more like the coaching is so bad it's causing them to regress. This team really lacks any sort of direction, there is no clarity in what kind of team they are trying to be, that all comes from coaching. Get a proper head coach in there and things will look a LOT different.

Talent isn't the big issue here. There is a definite change in how competitive the players were going from Lapo to Burke. Burke is looking more and more Daley-like with each passing week. TIme to dump him and Crowton and go forward. I don't even care right now. That loss to Hamilton ended the season, it's done let's keep blowing it up. Wanted to like Burke because he's such a good defensive coordinator and love the candidness he speaks to the media with but good lord he is a dud at head coach.

yeah cause Hall never missed a throw at all... you gotta stop this thing you're doing where you make Goltz accuracy sound worse than it is. I'd give Hall more time too cause I do like the type of qb he seems to be, but let's not go overboard on anything here.
