  1. But what if that means Rogers picks up the HNIC production team to run their stuff? Seems like a win win for CBC. They still get HNIC and don't have to pay these people to produce it. Just throwing it out there.
  2. TSN will be fine without the NHL. They still have the CFL and likely will forever, they still have curling, they still have the national hockey stuff, they still do some NFL. I already watch more hockey on sportsnet than I ever did on TSN just because of their regional broadcasts.
  3. any chance he makes it as a special teamer?
  4. Watch MacLean & Kypreos go back and forth for 15 minutes and you'll be begging for the TSN panel again. I could run a show out of my basement with better production value than Sportsnet has. Terrible news. I'm actually honestly upset about this. I love TSN's coverage. Oh trust me I watch the Oilers and Flames on sportsnet all the time, I know what kind of tools they have there, but TSN became so focussed on the panel and the between periods being the actual show that they stopped worrying about the hockey. I hate that ****. I tune in for the game not your stupid ******* quiz or which harmless hit Duthie is going to try and turn into the biggest scandal of the week. TSN simply got too high on themselves and needed to be knocked down a peg.
  5. Really though, considering how quickly Walters has climbed up the ladder there has to be something there right? special teams coach to assistant GM to GM in only a handful of years, that's a pretty steep career trajectory. Here's hoping it's merited.
  6. Is Stubler actually available? Why would he be leaving BC?
  7. yeah don't worry, this place is not somewhere you'd find Regina apologists. Facts are that it's a city of 200000 people roughly, it is way too small time for an event where you expect 40k plus in the stands. Maybe if the league stops jerking off that fanbase to no ends they'll realize that you can't host it in a small time city like that. that may well be true... but i broached this topic very candidly on OB (remember that shithole?lol) and no matter how plain i made it that Regina simply isn't able to support this event to the level it (and the fans) deserve, the troll-baiting apologists took swipes at me for it until i eventually cracked and told them to **** themselves. (somehow i didn't get banned for that... my ban ultimately came for something entirely different) That probably had more to do with who posted it than what you said. God damn centre of the universe big city ******* trashing the prairies! Let's sacrifice him to our gods!
  8. The NHL not being on TSN is a good thing, god those guys are annoying as ****. Looks good on them after that big production about buying the rights to the HNIC song like it was the song that made the program what it was.
  9. I could live with that, at least we'd get some leadership out of the coaches for a change. Only guy after Ritchie who actually showed that was Kelly and he was too crazy to make it work.
  10. yes or no is too extreme either way. I'll say that I'm not unhappy with the potential to move into happy if he does the job well.
  11. given how we've seen receivers get worse after spending time in Winnipeg no. I like Howell but it seems pretty clear that as a receivers coach he's just not teaching these guys what they need to know.
  12. I would have much rather seen a more exhaustive search, but I like Walters and hope he does well.
  13. ...Since you brought it up, I've been meaning to point out that its "Seeing as how"...and not "Seen as how"... That bothers me too... for all intensive purposes I could of cared less what you guys think.
  14. and proud of it.

  16. Walters prefers Collaros that's all that matters at this point.
  17. but it's a very good reason actually. GMs don't want to deal with players getting their panties in a twist if they weren't protected and I'd rather have the fans left in the dark than to start creating some bad blood between players and management. I mean is it far fetched at all to see some player who wasn't protected but not taken in the draft feel unwanted by their team and start looking for somewhere else to go? Yes they should all be more mature than that but we all know that professional athletes are not always as mature as they should be.
  18. No surprise you'd hate the halftime show seen as how you pretty much seem to hate everything. That being said, the halftime show isn't meant to cater to people already at the game or watching the game on TV. They're already watching, it's not meant as a "bonus" for them. The halftime show IS to cater to, as you put it, the 12 year old girl demographic. Get TV sets that wouldn't normally tune in to switch the channel. Up the ratings, up the ad revenue, it's that simple. And as much as I can't stand Hedley, I'll take them over outdated acts like BTO mumbling out lyrics nobody can understand. I understand the idea of trying to get eyeballs on the tv that wouldn't normally be there but I'm going to take great exception to the idea you'd take these guys over the outdated acts... Those acts have staying power for a reason and their songs popularity span across generations. In summary damn kids todays
  19. Commisioner Braley is probably just upset. Likely wants to try for a Braley Bowl next year in Vancouver and if the argos lose coaches they might not be able to get there.
  20. Correcting you would be a full time job, I don't have time to stop for every little thing.
  21. In fairness, you're looking for an excuse to become a Stamps fan, because your brother is... I would hardly call him a fan at all. casual observer at best.
  22. funny how when Taman has a budget and support staff in Saskatchewan he looks like a pretty good GM eh? Imagine if Bauer hadn't pinched so many pennies here?
  23. Durant is a giant baby about his coaches.
  24. ugh just say no to Burris. That would make it very, very hard to cheer for this team. Plus a guy who always chokes in the cold? Doesn't seem like the kind of player to have in Winnipeg.
  25. Ottawa has failed so many times you can be damned sure that they want an experienced veteran qb just so they at least have something to point to the fans and say "See we're better this time!"
