  1. He does have a pretty good amount of special teams tackles.
  2. You don't care that injuries had an effect, you don't care that bad coaches had an impact.. so you're just hating for the sake of hating? Doesn't Clarence Denmark look like a totally different player this year compared to last year?
  3. He did, but he kept breaking, Willy just doesn't break. He gets hurt, but he stays in the line up.
  4. Drew Willy is indestructible so no matter what Bryant Turner does you can't kill Willy, therefore after a lifetime of trying Turner will simply collapse from exhaustion.
  5. DREW WILLY COULD WRESTLE A BEAR!
  6. are you just being difficult here or what? Willy has proven he's tough. Guy has been playing through pain for a long time. Twice he's banged his hand and played through, he came back from that painful looking ankle injury on Labour day, he is practising again after being questionable with the shoulder. How much more can he prove? He keeps picking himself up and getting back into the game, that's proving it as much as anyone can.
  7. Most jr. teams operate on shoestring budgets so having those star players to market around certainly is something worthwhile. To be perfectly honest I think the biggest change isn't with kids being more ready for the NHL at younger ages than they used to be so much as young players are cheaper options in a cap world than a veteran. Used to be that you never even thought of bringing young players up unless they were truly exceptional talents but now with veterans being more expensive younger players are an option to save cap space.
  8. Which is precisely why he's on his what? 4th team?
  9. That's not something that you'd ever see Dave Ritchie or Cal Murphy discussing. For all we know Ritchie was trying but we didn't understand what the hell he was saying.
  10. Kevin Glenn would sure look good in Blue and Gold right about now. Hamilton is coming on and Collaros is proving to be more effective than Willy. I think we've had enough "what if" threads. It is not a what if. These are cold hard facts. Glenn despite the hiccup against Toronto (no shame in losing to Ricky Ray) is more than a servicable back up who was available and Collaros is looking good since his return. Don't get me wrong I think Willy could be a star once he gets more experience but the fact is we are facing a hot qb on Saturday and before his injury Willy was cooling off. "facts" Willy was still playing fine, but other parts of the team were starting to falter and the level of competition rose in addition to I think a bit of complacence on the Bombers part. Glenn was a non starter, the price was too high when Willy was on board.
  11. for an example of this see any game day thread or chat room.
  12. We don't really know what we have yet with Brohm. I'll go into the game cautiously optimistic. I hope you're considering that we could very well be in position to be tied with BC if we manage to pull this game out. Unfortunately, I fear that Brohm is more similar to Mike Quinn or Tee Martin then any competent backup. Quinn wasn't a terrible qb though... he just screwed himself over when he tried to be a hero rather than listening to the coaches.
  13. and this is true, but it's a win that you quietly take your two points and don't try and thump your chest over... yet here we see rider fans doing their chest thumping and boasting about how good sunseri looked.
  14. "I was raised that way" to me implies that a person knows it's wrong but is trying to justify their actions.
  15. hell if we're taking receiver drops into account then the Riders maybe don't want to get into that because what team drops more passes than Ottawa?
  16. Great rivalry. Hope the Bombers can eventually get to our level Jk, not really. it's better to cheer for a crappy team than cheer for the riders with the rest of the bandwagon jumpers. Enjoy being part of the douchiest fanbase that ever douched.
  17. yeah somehow I don't think I'm going to be giving a **** what you think. Guy has been itching for a battle with me for a couple weeks, guess he didn't like the truth I laid out in the chat room a couple games ago and he didn't even bother to read what I had posted and thought he'd have a go at me, and he's welcome to try, but he better get his facts in order before he tries. Well perhaps he should calm down too. I'm sick of all these fights that get started on this forum. Annoying and just not necessary. Door is over that way if you don't like it. Hey I see you're back in the thread after Ottawa lost the game too. How coincidental. Wonder what it is... Oh it has nothing to do with that. I'd be here if Ottawa won too. which is why you were MIA until Dressler scored the long TD? And then disappeared again until it actually got to OT? Face it dude you were hiding when the Riders were losing, but now you try and pretend like you weren't, it's classic. Can't wait until a few more losses pile up and the lot of you disappear back to your own kind.
  18. Well the obvious answer is Anderson... Now who starts that's another question entirely.

  20. It was a very exciting game, kinda like the 3 games we beat you guys in. And I don't think anyone is bragging, just happy that it looks like the Riders will be in good shape QB wise until Durant gets back for the playoffs. No not really, it was one mistake after another. The "tackling" on the Dressler td catch was embarassing. Burris looking like he just came into the league in OT was embarassing. Him underthrowing and over throwing receivers was embarassing. I get it, you're thrilled your team came back and won the game, but it was not a good game at all and they were fortunate that Ottawa started making so many mistakes.
  21. I'll still be pi$$ed if the Riders miss the playoffs with a better record then the second place team in the east. you have that little faith in your team? Even before they got the win against Ottawa they were still in a good playoff position. Was unlikely the Bombers would pass them based on the head to head.
  22. It's the cyclical nature of the league. Offenses adjusted a while back but now defenses have caught up. Some one is going to adjust on offense again at some point and start the cycle over again. I mean hell you go back 10 years and teams were only just starting to use one db at linebacker, now you have basically 1 standard with 2 common.
  23. yeah somehow I don't think I'm going to be giving a **** what you think. 24. Look at all the chest thumping going on after a win that should have them thanking their lucky stars... Tino Sunseri didn't look great, and neither did Burris. His accuracy was off all game but they made enough plays to get the lead and then he went and played like a rookie in the late game and OT. The Riders escaped that game because Ottawa crapped their pants plain and simple. If you want to crow about that one go right ahead but it just makes us laugh at you all the more. Take the 2 points and keep quiet. There is no reason to brag about anything in that game. One of the ugliest games ever.
  25. No, it's unreasonable to excuse stupidity. Oh so you're just being obtuse now with your insistence that only what you would call is the right call? You make a stop while up by 8 you win, you don't allow the 2 point convert you win, but they lost one of the few dbs that has been a bright spot and the shuffling happened in the secondary and suddenly it's a couple big plays, why act surprised? Play not to lose all you want. Still a crap call. But hey, if you like it, that's all that matters eh? so you're not reading either? What I said was it was a passive call but I understood the logic. Where did I say whether I liked it or not? All I said was I understood the logic. And I disagree it was a 'logical' call. It was the cowards call and leads to exactly what we're seeing now. I didn't say it was a logical call either, I said I understood what he was going for. Why are you even defending it then? WTF is the matter with you? I never did, you came at me and I stand up for myself, the question is, why are you making a big deal of it? And you wonder why I treat some of you like idiots. I don't wonder at all, you're an arrogant pretentious know-it-all, that's why your treat people like idiots. Well don't expect all us 'idiots' to bow to your superior BS. Have a nice night. You flew off at me because you didn't read what I wrote and chose to interpret it wrong, I called you out on your idiotic behaviour. Don't be an idiot and I won't have to call you an idiot.
