  1. shocking thought, but maybe Tait is less critical now because with a team winning games there is just less to be critical of?
  2. You can disagree all you like, it still doesn't make you right. Part of coaching skill is being able to keep the ego in check too. I mean **** Chris Jones did fine when he had someone to keep his lunacy in line, but it doesn't make him any less of a **** up when he doesn't have that control over him. You want to make claims that a guy wasn't so bad a coach you better be prepared to back it up because Mike Kelly was among the worst things to happen to this franchise.
  3. He was the GM! And part of his problem as a coach was that once Lefors showed himself to not be up to snuff he drove the bus right over top of him, and then the next qb, and the next one and the next one. I started calling the guy the bus driver for a while because rather than admit his own faults he kept throwing players under the bus. I dunno why you are trying to defend the guy but he was a horrible coach because his ego kept him from admitting that he might have been wrong about some things and that is what led to his down fall. It's a bit like Chris Jones in Saskatchewan. No one to tell him no and he's letting the ego run wild and torpedo his team.
  4. he chose those guys as his qbs!!!!
  5. How dare you forget the third valid pick Messam? Anyway my pick of the 3 is going to be Andrew Harris.
  6. Just trying to temper this Walters is impeccable and Mack was the devil attitude some have.
  7. Yeah the best example is how Walters wanted them to take that bust of an OL 1st overall but Mack over ruled him and went with Muamba instead. Here is the thing, Walters ain't untouchable when it comes to drafting, he's just collected a lot of draft picks lately and some have worked others haven't and overall it's improved the depth of the NIs on the team.
  8. I hope he's at least paying Rich to advertise his blog here. I have a problem with people who only use these message boards for their own gain in that regard. Poster who only exists to link to his blog? Come on now that's bullshit unless you sponsor the forum.
  9. hey would you want to give up a full pay cheque after collecting that money for doing nothing?
  10. this is one of my all time favourites, just because of how ******* cocky Kamau Incompleterson was for the Stamps when they were up and then all the beat the traffic folks trying to crowd back around the gates regretting their decision to leave before it's over.
  11. Makes total sense considering Paul Lapolice is the OC. Short passes, relies on yards after the catch, prone to conservative play calling ie. lots of 2 and outs, but also capable of scoring when they are behind. I swear if Lapo had any balls at all this team would win a lot more handily than it does.
  12. Not just entertaining but a team that never gives up. I mean god it was hard to watch the Burke led Bombers cause they would just roll over and die, at least this group even if they have a rough patch never stop fighting. That goes a long way in my books.
  13. right? Only one guy making a different pick and that's clearly just playing a hunch... The CFL media really does engage in a hell of a lot of group think.
  14. I don't think you're going to convince anyone that your crazy thoughts are correct when in fact there has been clear improvement over the course of Mike O'Sheas tenure here. yes it started out bad and was still bad a year later, but then last year they got to 11-7 and lost a close one in the playoffs, this year they also started off the season with a winning record yet here you are acting like they're a terrible terrible football team, and why? Because they lost a close game to BC? Because they lost to Calgary? I mean come on, you really need to pull your head out of your ass because it's so far up there you can't even see what's right in front of you.
  15. I think it just goes to show that MOS is doing a pretty good job, I mean if whether he wears pants or shorts is the biggest issue people have...
  16. yeah Buono is not the type of guy to not take advantage of any edge he can get even if he disagrees with it.
  17. Sounds like you're not much of a football fan, but hey neither is Wiecek so that's probably why you agree with him.
  18. I will take Jeremiah Johnson
  19. Well the original point was that 2 preseason games and a few weeks of training camp don't prepare rookies, Loffler had that plus over a month of practise time before he was asked to start, so yeah I am going to say that it does make a difference. As for Fogg I got it from watching with my own eyes. Guy had a rough start to the year, not unlike a lot of rookies playing the halfback position. Just because a rookie like Carmichael is struggling out of the gate, especially when playing beside another rookie, doesn't mean he won't work out. Did the secondary ever really come together last year? They gave up piles of yards all year and will continue to do so because that's the kind of defense this team plays.
  20. I would agree with you expect that just last week the c'mon centre allowed after review Montreal to get all up in Nichols face. The intention may be for it to be black and white but the c'mon centre cares not for rules.
  21. ugh, the two most annoying words in hollywood right now. "It's gotta be dark and edgy! that'll put asses in the seats!"
  22. Intertubes say Loffler got into the starting lineup in week 6. As for Dogg, he definitely had struggles early in the year. Even Carmichael is on pace for over 60 tackles this year. So in summary stop trying to misremember things to back up your silly incorrect point.
