That's what I am thinking. There are lots of qbs can look like world beaters when they aren't facing any kind of challenge defensively. No pressure from Edmonton, they couldn't contain the BC running game, couldn't cover receivers... like that was jim Daley 05 levels of defence bad from Edmonton.

Wins and losses this early really don't mean much. It's a long season and things will change tremendously by the time playoffs role around. I'd just keep coaching the new guys up. After game 1, aka preseason game 3 it isn't the time to panic.

Yeah Rose was bad and picked on all night. I expect he will bounce back, and the D did tighten up in the 2nd half. Offense needs to be better, but when you don't play them in the preseason that's to be expected. I do wonder if we have enough of a deep threat, but Ellingson and Schoen looked good out there. Bailey and Demski will be fine. So I expect better next week.

Yeah and the breakdown only happens because of the roster rules, which specify the maximum number of American players. It's not that they said you must start 7 national players, they said you can only have 20 americans + the 4 DIs which leaves..... 7 national starters. Yes this is a pedantic argument but technically correct is the best kind of correct.

This is exactly it. There are no minimums for Canadians, only maximums for Americans which leads to minimum numbers for Canadians.

I heard the new owner in bc on the radio last season and he seemed to understand that you need to get asses in seats and was willing to put in the work so hopefully he is successful. If BC was a healthy market that would do wonders for the cfl.
