the prestigious MBB poll voted decisively in favour of Montreal. Would be interesting to see how the MBB predictions fare against the cfl.ca ones...

The trouble is that we're old at positions that are difficult to recruit for. Our best OL is ancient. Our best Canadian receiver -- our best receiver period -- is on the wrong side of 30 and has had significant injuries two out of the past three years. Our best Canadian OL, Neuf, will be 37 next season. worst of all, Zach is 37 and he is probably our best option at QB next year. Who else is out there? Taylor Powell might be a good FA signing, but he's been moldering on the bench for two years now. Maybe Brown could come home in a trade? I'm not in a position to judge our pipeline but it seems like our pipeline will need to do some good work or we're going to drop from the middle tier of the CFL to the bottom tier next year.

the stadium is kind of small time but damn is it a fine place to watch a game on a summer night. Love the setting up on the mountain with the campus buildings wrapping around the stadium. Absolutely gorgeous scenery. Need to get back there someday.

sucks that the Bombers aren't in it, but have to say this is a compelling CFL playoff bracket with four legit finalists. Am rooting for a BC vs. Montreal final, I think that'll be the best hope for a classic grey cup starring two great young QBs .... but will settle for anyone but the riders. decide on a word worse than "suck" and use it for the Riders.

yup. again, bad situational awareness on VAJ's part, throwing low-percentage endzone bombs that stopped the clock twice while they were in FG range. You can put this loss on him. Dude is massively talented but does not play in reality.

Just catching up on the game now ... that was the most VAJ play possible on the final play of the second half. Dude runs around and extends the play with eight seconds left in the half. Brutal situational awareness. Just like when he got hurt earlier in the season, diving forward for what wasn't going to be a first down.
