  1. well, best wishes for a smooth birth and a healthy baby and mom who can be a consolation to Lauther when he shits the bed in the LDC.
  2. as a full participant in the ensuing comment frenzy ... that was not our finest hour.
  3. Lauther out for personal reasons ... while there's another kicker in camp looking to take his job. Hmm. No mention of Harris there either.
  4. agree with Booch -- I think Wilson's play breakdown is pretty good, especially for a sideline reporter. He zeroes in on the key elements of the play and points out the error or the achievement. No sugarcoating. I remember a game this year where Edmonton's OL was getting absolutely perforated ... Wilson broke down the breakdowns crisply and did not hesitate to call out the guy making the mistake -- one of them was an OL caught flatfooted by a stunt / blitz who gave up a lane right into Fajardo's lap. As an on-camera personality I think Wilson improves the broadcast. As a twitter personality, whatever.
  5. You're not wrong -- Wolitarsky wouldn't solve our "no Kenny Lawler" problem ... but he would solve our "starting Concoran" problem.
  6. that grimace and shrug that starts the video ... you can tell that media time is Osh's favorite time.
  7. Wolitarsky has dressed for two games this year. I think the TiCats figure they don't need the national depth at Wolitarsky's price tag ... given that K Smith is playing well and BOLO seems to be fitting in well at WR5, plus they can plug in Johnny Augustine or AML at RB if they need to pump up their national count on O. Seems like a no-brainer to bring him back if he's healthy.
  8. wanna see Awe getting casually pancaked?
  9. If people across Canada will all say "**** you Luke Wilson, I'm buying seasons for my local cfl team" then I will allow it.
  10. K-Law is gonna feast on the Argos.
  11. c'mon man. in 2019 at this point in the season we were still starting that maple maga guy at safety. weird **** happens in the CFL playoffs.
  12. firing the top football people on a 6-4 team that's sold out a bunch of home games in a row. yeah, that would indeed send a message.
  13. that little shovel pass that Collaros improvises on the second play, turns a sack into a first down. ZC 3.0. you love to see it. Wheatfall downfield blocking for Brady at 1:50ish. Dude is playing like a real Bomber receiver.
  14. Karen Gillan is a cool action movie actress. So good on them there, nice bit of casting. No possible way they can find a soundtrack that matches up to the original, tho.
  15. I ran the numbers a couple of seasons ago and CFL teams then dressed 10-12 different receivers over the course of the season. I think one team hacd a terrible injury run and dressed 14. We're just over halfway thru the season and we're at 9 different receivers (Schoen, Demski, Wheatfall, Sterns, Clercius, Concoran, Cobb, Case, Mitchell) so if our luck holds we're going to be starting Mike Miller at boundary slot in game 18. With the short passing game currently in vogue in the CFL, receivers are going to take a lot of punishment and seems like you've got to have a real deep bench there.
  16. Morgan outperformed my expectations. He made some nice throws downfield. Was expecting a wide side pick six from him tbh, that's a rite of passage for raw CFL QBs. But he looked a little overwhelmed running tempo at the end of the game. We got the win and didn't give up many points ... but I was still troubled by the fact that Morgan had such a clean pocket to operate from.
  17. Brady running like there's a puppy needing rescue in the endzone. Collaros looking like a wily veteran, lots of nifty plays and point guard passes and fewer prayer heaves. Demski playing like an undisputed WR1. Hope he's okay. Our pass rush did not harass Morgan as much as I would have liked. When the telecast showed Demski's rise in Bomber receiver history ... I didn't realize that Denmark was a top five bomber receiver. Wish we had him now as a midseason reinforcement like we did in 2016. Lapo his usual good self in the booth but needs to learn how to say "Poplawski"
  18. I was there too ... it would be easy not to follow the bombers and after 2013 habit was nearly gone ... but then they hired O'Shea. Had been a fan of his since his rookie year with the TiCats. That dude was pure game at his peak. Plays that went his way were simply ended, and he could go sideline to sideline. Was so geeked in 2014 and when Nichols arrived and we turned the corner in 2016 I knew I'd be a fan for the rest of my life.
  19. I'm most interested in seeing Logan as a tailback. Brady's taking a pounding this year and having someone who could spell him would be awesome.
  20. my questions going into the game: 1. can Hogan put together 60 minutes of good offense? 2. does Collaros continue to build chemistry with Wheatfall? Really liked what I saw from Lord Keric last week. Played with a lot of courage.
  21. I think 2013 was the true nadir of the bombers, the darkest moment before the dawn of the present age. Reinbold's teams were terrible, but they has spirit and Milt Stegall played out of his mind in 1997. 1600 yards with Chris Vargas and Kevin McDougall as your quarterbacks. Unbelievable. There were a couple of fun Kelly games too -- Fred Reid's big outing in BC plus that home game where Michael Bishop passed for like 450 yards. bomb after bomb after bomb. 2013 had no such moments. 2013 was just unrelenting ****.
  22. how the hell is Shawn Lemon still in the league? I hate how TSN won't even bring up that the dude was suspended for gambling on CFL games. Sports is in so deep with the gambling biz, it's ******* vile. Ok, bitching aside, go bombers!
