bc thumped by SASKATCHEWAN
It's informative to me, but the highest level of football I ever played was men's rec league flag. Didn't know what Cover 3 was until Hank explained it. Agree that it's terribly produced, though. Hank doesn't have a great voice for this kinda thing, or they've got the gain turned way down on his mic, or whatever. And it feels really hurried, they jump between so many different plays while explaining one concept ... would be better to just pick one play that demonstrates the topic and then break it down with some detail. Also, wtf BC?

Yeah, seeing them live from behind the bench, you can really get an appreciation for how they roll the DL. They're subbing after every play.

Tonight my neighbours are listening to these beauties: I've been playing electronic drums in my living room, but no more. Got a nice little club kit that's perfect living room volume when I play it with rod sticks. Would have liked royal blue better but alas, it's not a popular color for drums...

Around the League - Regular Season Discussion (Redux)
Seems like TSN has been pumping Odell Willis's tires a lot lately, going on in-game about what a nut/goofball he is...

Oh yeah, Subban dresses to kill. He's the exception tho. Most NHL players are dialtones in terms of personality and style.

Testing Our Mettle: Eskies Coming Here
goddammit why doesn't this site have a horns reaction emoji .. gotta copy and paste one in like a chump... Anyway, getting back on topic: forget Hamilton, forget Edmonton, forget all this regular season noise ... let's talk about the games that really matter. What DIs do you guys think we should roster in the Western Final?

Disagree, it's excellent to see CFL players dressing with some personality and flair instead of just being robots in IBM suits like NHL players. (it's also hilarious when the team's official twitter busts his balls about it) Speaking of partaking, man, the Tim Burke era would have been way easier to deal with if we'd legalized in WA before 2013...

Is it known which Western team tried to grab Spooner off PR??
When I was a kid I had to mow acres of grass for my old man. I had a riding mower for the last couple of years I did it, but I still hated it. Out getting baked by the sun, uselessly cutting a plant that was just going to grow back anyway...it was stupid. Funny thing ... fifteen years later, a buddy needed help running a riding mower, getting his backyard in shape for his wedding, I did it, and it was strangely relaxing and satisfying. Man, getting old is weird.

Yeah, real nice to see a young player buying into the Walters / O'Shea program, even if it costs him some $$ in the short term. Great to see. (I'd never criticize a practice player for bouncing on us but I'll sure cheer when one says he'll stay)

Can't begrudge practice roster players a shot at a starting position. We only pay em, what, $500 a week? That's not enough to get a monopoly on their services.

Yeah, I bet the injured list thing is a bonus to Spooner for staying put with us.

Here's what I expect from the Ticats D based on what I've seen watching the league over (mumble) decades: 1) the players will be feeling the heat and will be extra jacked up and flying around... 2) but the change in routine and the extra adrenaline will make for confusion and chaos and busts. The Tim Burke coaching change in mid-2012 was the huge glaring exception to this. The Bombers played like garden slugs with chronic fatigue syndrome in the game after Lapo got canned.- Solving Our MLB Problem
They did this at times in the BC game -- we'd sub Thomas for Hurl and Santos-Knox in for whatever DL Thomas replaced.- Solving Our MLB Problem
Can't remember which game it was, but there was this one Nicholls pick this season with a long return and Dressler was absolutely a missile on that play, tracking the DB a long way down the field and taking him down before he could score. So I think our MLB fix is already in house, let's move WD7 into the middle once he's off the six-game. Plus, we've been trying to think of ways to get Dressler and Flanders onto the game roster together, maybe this would be an opportunity to do that. To make the ratio work we can swap out Hardrick for Rempel.- Your CFL Haiku of the Game
