  1. are we going to see a repeat of the 1980's? Where the Jets build an awesome team led by an elite player (Hawerchuk) only to be stopped in the first round every year by an Oiler team that lucked out and had Gretzky (and now McDavid) just fall into their laps?
  2. Isn't that pretty much normal in Regina? no not really. Usually the cousin love isn't very "distant".
  3. The Hurl experiment is not working. He's too slow and he can't tackle.
  4. yeah they really are trying to emulate the 2008 Blue Bombers. Wouldn't it be wonderful if they fired Chamblin and hired Mike Kelly next year? if so I hope that it is handled internally....
  5. On one play Cash or one of the other Montreal D men just bowled Greaves right over. The Montreal D-line is just awesome.
  6. yeah they really are trying to emulate the 2008 Blue Bombers. The big difference between the Riders and the 2008 Bombers is that Kevin Glenn is at least playing well in the 2015 version.
  7. Most if not all the wives no doubt sign some kind of pre-nup so if they walk they lose access to the big bank. I agree with you that those rumours sound like garbage. I don't see how a team could function with one guy sleeping with another guy's wife. Back in the Lindros days, there was a rumour that Lindros was sleeping with Brindamour's wife, and that's why Brindamour was traded. A lot of the Flyers apparently couldn't stand Lindros. You can't have a very tight locker room with guys pulling that ****.
  8. twice Willy was sacked when the Bombers were in FG range and both times the sacks took them out of FG range. Willy has to get rid of the ball in those cases, those sacks cost us an easy six points.
  9. who was criticizing this move? I know I liked it.
  10. I like him already. http://sportsmockery.com/2015/02/did-patrick-sharp-have-sex-with-teammates-wife/
  11. I think Hossa is going too.
  12. They can always count on a win on Labour Day. It may be too late by then though.
  13. I thought that too, but you can clearly see the ref whistle the play in before the ball is snapped.
  14. watching the sequence at 11:00 of the second quarter. I'm still trying to figure out why after the Bombers sack Cato for a loss, the ball is placed back at the 35 yard line and it's first down all over again. What happened? Matt and Gord are just oblivious to the whole thing. You can hear the ref announce something, and the crowd boo, but its impossible to tell what actually happened such that the sack didn't count. On second down, which should have been third down, Cato throws the pick six, so I don't really care, but it's just infuriating when the play by play guys are babbling away about something and not giving the viewers all of the game information.
  15. Watching the game again this morning, I don't know why Montreal didn't just run Sutton every play. Hurl gets dragged for five yards every time Sutton had the ball, practically. Nick Lewis and Giguere dragged him for yards too. We need an MLB who can tackle. Hurl isn't that guy.
  16. we could say Montreal was lucky too because they were gifted seven points on the TD that didn't actually happen. One thing going for us in Calgary is that Calgary has a short week, because they are playing on Monday, for some reason. I assume it is Stampede related.
  17. wandering libido?
  18. into the fourth quarter of the second game of the night...seeing the bottom of the CR bottle.... ...agree with everything you said...
  19. man was Christina Applegate hot...
  20. I thought at first it was "Heil Atomic".
  21. and let's hope that our winning games becomes a never-ending story...
  22. TBurg post only ONE PAGE earlier: Good grief. This is really getting ridiculous.
  23. You wouldn't have to make it a policy. They are already working the food lines at homeless shelters here. What you should do is make it a policy that all NDP-voting dope-smoking welfare sucking able-bodied men over the age of 18 should get off their lazy arses and go work at homeless shelters. I've got two neighbours I would love to see on a food line helping out the homeless, instead of staring at a video-game screen all day in mommy's basement with a bong glued to their face. Don't be ridiculous. There are plenty of dope-smoking able-bodied men that aren't on welfare. of course there are. They just don't happen to live near me I guess. But if you just want to target "right wing curmudgeons" for work on homeless shelter food lines, why not also target lazy sacks who are able-bodied and just sitting at home self-medicating too?
  24. Just like Friesen's previous article said what you wanted to hear, because it was negative. It wasn't what I wanted to hear actually and I didn't bring it up even once, but don't let the facts get in the way of your hate. Hate? Wow. I don't think Kelowna or anyone actually hates you burg. of course not, but "hate" sounds much more dramatic, especially if you are vying for the title of forum martyr. It was no different during the teachers' strike here in BC last year. If you didn't 100% support every single facet of the BCTF's demands, then somehow you hated all teachers. There was no middle ground. Martyr complex.
