I think this year's goal is to make the playoffs. If we can do that, anything can happen. 2007 proved that.

- Next year's line up?
no to Brad Marchand. I can't cheer for a team who has that prick in the line-up. Just can't.- Election 2015
I think it's a function of the other choices being pretty weak, such that Harper is the best of a pretty bad lot. Kind of like how the BC Liberals keep getting elected despite everyone hating them in BC. The NDP is a no-go for many people for obvious reasons and I think Mulcair just triggered an NDP collapse with his brain-dead decision to double-cross the other parties and pull out of the debates. So that leaves Justin to try and get back the support he lost earlier with some really dumb comments he made. I think he can do it. Enough so that Harper only gets a minority at best, which would be the best case scenario in my view. It's time for Harper to step down. I think the NDP will do what it always does, and stab Mulcair in the back. Mulcair will move to the Liberals, and he will be part of a Liberal majority in two years time.- It's time for the Riders to start sucking ...
Is this not the perfect time to unload Brohm on Taman for a high draft pick and a promising practice roster player? He's desperate for QB help and Brohm is an experienced QB they need.- Next year's line up?

Better start buying bigger busses in Regina as there is going to be a lot of people being thrown under them...- Rider fans calling Willy a great pocket passer
Other than Calgary, every team is in this kind of position, sort of.- 2015 NHL Free Agency
He is fighting for MVCJ right now in Vulcan Alberta. Most Valuable Combine Jockey.- Week 6 other games, other teams
Why aren't the Eskimos bringing the house like they did against Brohm?- "There is nothing Marve can show in practice this week"
And we lose another one. RIP Roddy....- So much for the theory...
That is the allure of the "fake the kick, throw it to Sherman" trick play. Unfortunately this is the second year running that play has failed. Didn't fail last year. Even though it was 3rd and 21, if the other wideout makes a block on Adekolu, who is a receiver, it's a big play. The other wide-out has to know that it is happening first, then they can block it. Still, 21 yards is a lot of yards to get on a fake.- The Day Early Game Day Thread - BC @ WPG
Turner and Peach - sounds like a 1990's Tom Hanks movie.- So much for the theory...
it was 3rd and 21, not 3rd and 12. Lirim must have been popping shrooms on the sidelines, otherwise I don't know how he could have been so delusional.- So much for the theory...
I get nervous when Willy steps up into the pocket to buy time with D-linemen swirling around him within an arms length like a tornado. He was sacked at least twice on that play last night and he has to realize that the ball needs to be released at the same moment that he steps forward. he also is still locking on to his first read too much. I recall there was a one play where it was second and five and Willy zoned in on Denmark from the snap, ignoring Marshall in the flat who was all alone. Instead Willy tried to thread it in to Denmark, who had no chance of catching it. O'Shea then wasted everyone's time with a coach's challenge for PI that was no where close to PI. I am really beginning to hate that challenge option.- So much for the theory...
Have to enjoy it while you can, Hamilton is the next stop on the roller-coaster ride. I think we match up well against Hamilton. It'll be a much better game than the first go-around. I'm really looking forward to next weekend! All depends on whether a certain Willy remains upright. How about that - that was my 4,000th post!- So much for the theory...
Case in point, I pull into the Mr. Mike's in Chilliwack at 5:30 pm yesterday (7:30 pm Winnipeg time) to watch a bit of the game on the way home to Kelowna from Vancouver, and they have the stinking Blue Jay game on in the lounge. So then I say "can you change it to the Lion's game please?" and the staff all look at me stunned, in that they not only don't know there is a game on, but have no clue who the Lions are. Finally, they changed over a few TV's to TSN, (after I had to explain that I wanted the "CFL football" option that was coming up on the guide), to the complaints of some old fogies who were watching the Jays, to which I told them to stick it, as they still had plenty of TV's to watch their precious Jays. Anyway, BC sucks. That's my point.- The Day Early Game Day Thread - BC @ WPG

I think we should stop starting 2 Canadian receivers and start 4 International Moore, Denmark, Adams and Veltung plus 2 big backs with Marshall and Scott will make Willy's job a lot easier. 1 big back is plenty. I don't know why you have taken a dislike to Paris Cotton but he's still a good runningback. Very explosive and very dangerous. When paired with a guy like Marshall you have the potential for a pretty dynamic running game. Since his good game on the first week, he's been regressing. I am a fan of Cotton, but if it doesn't work (now) a change has to be made. Look at the Pat Neufeld change it made a difference to the game last night. The change is giving Marshall more work. As a change of pace guy Cotton is a great option. 2 bigger backs isn't a change of pace. I've never seen a point in having 2 backs of the same type on the roster. You want someone who can bring a different dynamic to the offense. I will also disagree that Cotton wasn't working but that's a different debate. I liked how the swing/screen pass to Cotton was working early in the game. As it was working, in true MB fashion, we immediately stopped doing it.- Odds and Sods - Game 6 - BC Lions at Winnipeg Blue Bombers

That decision by Tedford to go for it on 3rd and 2 was a huge momentum shift, after the Bombers threw away all of the momentum generated by the Adams INT with two sacks, a fumble (recovered) and then Lirim's brain fart gamble on 3rd and 21. I couldn't believe how fast the Bombers were able to just destroy all of the momentum, but then our D came up big and Lulay made a terrible pass to a wide open Harris. If the Lions had converted that 3rd and 2, the game probably would have ended a lot differently. Definitely the TSN turning point. I still don't know why they didn't just run Harris on that play, he was gold for 2 to 3 yards on every hand-off.- The Day Early Game Day Thread - BC @ WPG
