  1. whoever wins the presidency wins control of the Supreme Court. It's important for Big Green that Hillary win at all costs, as she will keep the taps flowing with rivers of government cash (billions upon billions) with zero accountability, and she also will replace a "denier" (Scalia) with a pro-global warming myth believer on the Supreme Court, which means total and absolute power to enforce the narrative, including making the EPA one of the most powerful, unaccountable, utterly corrupt, and completely unelected government bodies on the planet, next to the EU and the UN.
  2. Tim Ball William Happer Anthony Watts Of course now cue the Desmog blog cut and paste smearing of all three of these guys, or the idiotic "denier" word being pulled out of someone's arse as the standard response to anyone who dares question the narrative. Anyone who dares question the man-made climate change myth in the scientific community is immediately black balled by the PC gang and the lies about where their motivations lie (always always "Big Oil" apparently) are invented. Just total garbage.
  3. the beauty was that someone suckered Kyries Hebert into a retaliation, so the end result was offsetting penalties anyway.
  4. Trudeau will probably have a reign like his dad's, where it's interrupted by periods where he's the minority leader, or like for those glorious 9 months in 1979 - 80 when Pierre had to sit there plotting and fuming in Opposition. But as long as JT can continue to convince people that $30 billion deficits are the new normal and totally cool then he probably will be at the top for a long time. Quite a difference from a year ago when he couldn't seem to get his feet out of his mouth.
  5. So you are saying that getting Bond and Foketi on the line and Neufeld off the line has been a positive move. Hmmm....
  6. can you even fly between Winnipeg and Regina anymore? What airline was that Iso?
  7. Andrew Harris please.
  8. Well we saw what he did with one half of Dressler and almost a full game of Adams in that Edmonton game they won, and he did pretty freaking good.
  9. Who says I support Trump (and not being American, who really cares, as I can't vote for him anyway)? What I find frightening is that no criticism of lying Hillary and her gang of corrupt bozos is allowed as this somehow is "supporting Trump". Sorry but both candidates for president this go-round are shockingly bad. Just gruesome too, when you think about how neither seem to have any integrity whatsoever, and will get into the White House purely through either outright lying or tons of back-stabbing (the Clintons just make my skin crawl - Hillary makes Frank Underwood look like Gandhi). There should have been two much better people then this to choose from.
  10. Craig Button and Bob McKenzie say that Auston Matthews is a good player on the Toronto team. Therefore we should trade Drew Willy for Auston Matthews.
  11. what assets from Toronto are worth discussing? Coombs? An NI OL?
  12. that should buy you at least 10 Moores suits. Which is about a 10 week supply.
  13. not sure how much of the above actually happened, but its no surprise the Jets turned down the offer for 22. They had tunnel vision for Stanley.
  14. Defenses knew what to do with Willy, and pretty much every other QB we've had for years - just bring the house, watch him stand there like a deer in headlights, and then break through and sack him or watch him throw an INT. Nichols is getting the ball out to the receivers so fast that the same defensive strategy defences have employed against Winnipeg for years just isn't working. In the CFL, if you have an accurate QB who gets the ball out quickly, with a decent OL that can open holes for a running option, you have a good chance of success on offense, as it's a huge field and receivers get a running start off the line. Nichols isn't getting sacked, so he's not fumbling. He's making good decisions with the ball, that you would expect from a veteran. Couple that with a defense that is on fire, and you get four wins in a row. I just hope there is no mental layup in Regina. Keep the foot on the gas guys.
  15. what I find hilarious is that this actually seems pretty left wing in nature. Imagine being able to screen out immigrants who don't embrace gay rights and gender equality? Isn't that the dream of every freedom hating state should control every facet of our lives leftist? And the foreign policy realism - isn't that also left of even Hillary? Don't all leftists hate war, and hate the US for always meddling in foreign governments? Why is he being mocked for that? Especially by the Left, who seem right now to be pretty steeped in hypocrisy, purely because they have to have a Democrat in the White House at all costs.
  16. when I saw it I figured that Loffler went at Carter purely because the defence knew all they had to do was get Carter angry and he'd be useless the rest of the game, so when Loffler saw Carter had the ball and was going out of bounds it was the perfect opportunity to pop him and presto, Carter pretty much disappeared after that.
  17. Look out Daniel Day Lewis if Bond ever decides to go into acting full time.
  18. Who could use him though? Other than the Riders?
  19. Talking about 1988 - go to the 6:41 mark and see what I'm talking about, and why 2016 is reminding me of that team...
  20. This team is totally reminding me of 1988 and 1990. The offense was putrid but at least they didn't lose games with dumb turnovers. Things would be looking bleak and then boom, a turnover/pick six and the game is turned right back around, just like last night. Moe Leggett jumps the route to Lewis that Glenn had fallen into a trance throwing to (Glenn is pretty predictable, if something is working for him, he goes to that well over and over again) and the whole game just flipped right back the Bombers way. I know some here keep saying "that's not going to happen every game". Well no, but it sure seems to happen a lot, and as long as the D line is pressuring the QB you are going to get interceptions. Which is why the 1980's Bombers defences were such ball hawks too.
  21. Yup Chip Cox handed Winnipeg the FG that made it 22 - 18 and then Bowman gave the Bombers 25 yards on their long drive that ended in a TD. Two veterans who should know better that cost their team big, though it didn't help that KG went into his familiar shell in the second half and did absolutely nothing, before firing a perfect pass into Loffler's mitts to seal the game.
