It also appears that in 1980 the Bombers won both games of the back to back with the Riders. I wonder how many years that has happened.

I was at that Calgary West Semi-Final game in 1980. It dumped a big load of snow the night before so they had to scrape the field to try and get a decent surface to play on. It sure was cold that day too but luckily it was sunny so that made it bearable. And we wore onions on our belts, as was the style of the time.

anyone who has spent any time in Carlyle and Estevan (and even smaller towns in that area) can testify to the fact there are some pretty serious f'ed up people living in that area of Saskatchewan. Banjo-picking inbreds sums them up pretty well.

Watching some of those TD's the Bombers scored at least two would have been called back on replay for sure nowadays. I still remember that Robert Woods punt return against Hamilton for a TD. The replay showed that he definitely stepped out of bounds. Oh well.

Just had lunch with a guy here in Kelowna who used to be Loffler's football coach in high school. TL played QB, defence and returned punts. He never left the field. Amazing athlete. He said he couldn't believe Winnipeg got him in the 3rd round. He said BC should have grabbed him. Anyway, he said Loffler is going to be our safety for quite a long time, as long as we can keep him anyway! I hope he's right.why would the new stadium in Regina be full of water? This is dangerous as it could result in Rider fans accidentally taking a bath.Two memories of Dieter - the night I was at the Stadium (before it was named Canad Inns) when Goodlow got his 100 receptions, and the game in 1984 when Dieter came back to Winnipeg as a Hamilton Tiger-Cat, and every time Dieter got sacked, mostly by Tyrone Jones, the Ghostbusters theme song would start up and everyone in the stands would start dancing and yelling "Brock Busters!" The Bombers won that game 48-16. Ahh...great memories.
