  1. Unless he said "Budgets balance themselves" that's not the dumbest thing I've ever heard.
  2. So much for Russian domination in hockey at the Olympics! And the US loses to Slovenia! This could be a whacky Olympic hockey year.
  3. Tanev has a role and he fills it. The Jets are definitely better with him in the line up. Especially will be valuable in the playoffs. Yeah I said the p word.
  4. good, about time they matched me on game day.
  5. I have a website I use to pick my players that no one else in my pool knows about. Sure helps as they almost all pick from the same list, using Hockey News or McKeens. I always find a way to lead the pool all year and then die at the end due to injuries. My traditional pattern is falling into place yet again this year, like clock-work. Johnny Gaudreau, time for you to break a clavicle and the cycle is complete.
  6. Exactly why Vancouver has sucked so badly for so long. The twin boat anchors using up all the cap space.
  7. Looks like McKinnon is practising. Still non contact jersey but at least progressing...and then I lose Eichel. Sigh. Snake bit again on the injuries....
  8. 12 - 2 - got to allow them at least one floating bouncer from the blue line.
  9. I love it when people tell me what my opinions are. So awesome. I'm not a fan of Enstrom because he coughs up the puck so easily. He's a weak player. As for me "crapping" on Stanley, thanks for reacting, I honestly didn't know my opinion was so valuable that it's causing discussion on here. I have only watched him play once live - in Penticton - and he was awful. That was awhile ago. I caught a Kitchener game on Sportsnet a few months ago and he didn't look nearly as bad. Mostly I am slagging Stanley because I know it causes certain posters here to go ape-poop. Reality is - I saw Tyler Myers when he was a rookie with the Rockets. He looked like Bambi on ice out there. But he grew into his body. I think Stanley can do the same. I hope when he's 24 he's a total stud.
  10. still no idea what you are talking about in relation to Schief and his injury seeming to be 6 to 8 months. At all.
  11. I could see him being Tebow-esque.
  12. The Tulsa Jets?
  13. because we were winning so much?
  14. maybe the first clue about Hutch having symptoms was after the first period of the Coyotes game he went and sat in the Moose dressing room instead.
  15. Or more accurately, I really don't care. Anyone defending the crooked Clintons has got to give their head a shake but whatever, I honestly don't care. You asked what the Uranium one thing was about with the Clintons, and I (and then Pigseye) just started you on your journey, end of story. Everyone is going to believe what they want to believe, no matter who the politician is or what their politics are.
  16. Stu Barnes 5.0
  17. Uranium One[edit] From 2009–13, the Russian atomic energy agency (Rosatom) acquired Uranium One, a Canadian company with global uranium mining stakes including 20% of the uranium production capacity in the United States. Since uranium is considered a strategic asset with national security implications, the acquisition was analyzed by a committee of nine government agencies, including the State Department, which was then headed by Clinton.[16][1][17] The voting members of the committee can object to such a foreign transaction, but the final decision then rests with the president.[18] In April 2015, The New York Times reported that, during the acquisition, the family foundation of Uranium One's chairman made $2.35 million in donations to the Clinton Foundation. The donations which were legal were not publicly disclosed by the Clintons, despite a prior agreement to do so. In addition, a Russian investment bank with ties to the Kremlin and which was promoting Uranium One stock paid Bill Clinton $500,000 for a speech in Moscow shortly after the acquisition was announced.[1][17]
  18. sorry - should have said "during" too. I disagree, Wheeler has definitely looked more beat since he took over center. Which is why I'm glad Schief is back!
  19. I don't think that's the only metric to go by. Wheeler isn't used to playing center. He's been killing himself out there playing that position. Time to get him back on the wing where he doesn't have to cover so much ice. Let Scheif take that back over so that Wheeler has some gas in the tank for the playoffs. Right now he just looks dead at the end of every game.
  20. Lose Scheif or Lowry, they have the depth. Both out at the same time? Not going to work long -term. I am concerned that Wheeler is going to have no gas left for the playoffs.
  21. Petan to me has "Spengler Cup All-Star" written all over him. I would not be surprised if he is on the 2022 Canadian Olympic team, on a line with Patrice Cormier and Benoit Pouliot.
  22. watched him a bit during the World Juniors. Definitely Armia 2.0. Ha! He's a great skater, very strong on the puck, and he's only going to get stronger. Kid's only 18, with a pretty high ceiling. Ok I think I've used all of the scouting buzzwords I know.
  23. and he didn't mention the zoo once! Dieter set him straight on that would you?
  24. Wonder if one of the sponsors for Koo-Koo is Cocoa puffs.
