  1. talk about being thin at LHD.
  2. blew through the $4 million target this afternoon. Keep raising those targets!!!
  3. I remember a few playoff battles between Humboldt and the Winnipeg South Blues back in the 1980's. There would be bench clearing brawls almost every game. The Humboldt team was huge. The Blues got to play in the Winnipeg arena because Fergie's son was on the team.
  4. https://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/juniors/gofundme-account-set-humboldt-broncos-victims-families/ Just donated. These families are going to need a lot of support. Just so sad.
  5. What's the tie break between Colorado and St Louis?
  6. I've been to a Coyotes home game. What's gross is seeing all the names of old Jets in their ring of honor. Those fans don't know who Thomas Steen is. Why would they.
  7. Tampa Bay signed Foote the day after the Rockets were eliminated. Might be the same for Stallard? I don't know.
  8. I bought tickets to game 2 of the Canucks/Bruins Stanley Cup final. Paid $500 a pop. Money well spent.
  9. So Stallard is out of the playoffs. Is he getting called up to the Moose now?
  10. probably the reason why Scheif passed on that breakaway against Ottawa.
  11. missed the game - why did he get tossed?
  12. Who is "Danger"? Is Anthony Weiner playing for the Jets now?
  13. I noticed this too. Toronto's defence is going to get smoked. They don't come close to matching ours. And that's one of the reasons we won, we just ground them into the ground. They are going to have a hard time making it past Tampa or Boston, both pretty good teams.
  14. Edler and Tanev? I can't think of too many others. Tanev was a rookie that year or close to it. Total house-cleaning.
  15. So Becky's husband died. What happened to Darlene's husband? And did DJ adopt his daughter or is his wife African American?
  16. I wasn't a fan of the original show but I will keep watching. Looking forward to more back and forths between Roseanne and Jackie about Trump and Hillary for sure. I want to see what other social issues they deal with too. I assume gun control is going to be high on the list given the whole Parkland thing going on right now. They hinted at it when Dan was looking for his gun in the last episode, and finally found it in the freezer in an ice cream container.

  18. agreed. As to her support of Trump, she laid it out on Jimmy Kimmel pretty well, I thought.
  19. I thought it was great that a TV show finally had the balls to talk about it. These rifts are going on all across the US right now, and a lot of families are still broken up and hurting from the election result. I thought the show handled it well in terms of both sides (Trump and Hillary) getting a chance to give and receive commentary on the weaknesses of their positions and political views (and yes, both sides had a lot of weaknesses). Few shows do this nowadays (Last Man Standing comes to mind) for fear of offending anybody and so we end up with just hours of mindless banal sitcom dreck. The second episode was also pretty brave as they dealt with a boy (Roseanne's grandson) who is questioning his gender and experimenting with wearing dresses to school. Dan gives his grandson a knife to take to school as he knows his grandson is going to get bullied, and sure enough, he gets bullied, but he deals with it by giving his knife to the bully to make him go away. It dealt with a lot of issues including bullying, gender, and how traditional families have to adjust to the new social issues of today, and I thought they did a good job with a difficult subject. They also managed to throw in the "woman's right to choose" issue with their daughter Becky wanting to sell off one of her eggs to a child-less woman (Sarah Chalke, who played Becky off and on in the original run), and how Dan was having a hard time with that. Very brave TV. Wish more shows were like this one. https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/the-fix/wp/2018/03/30/why-roseanne-reinforces-a-myth-about-trump-supporters/?utm_term=.a004620b62d4
  20. It was better than good.
  21. I've seen Seinfeld perform live twice now (he was just in Penticton late last year, yeah, I know, why Penticton of all places) and he always gives the same answer when asked if Seinfeld will ever come back - "I'm too old, I'm too tired, and I'm too rich".
