a little hard to pin this loss on Bettman. Vegas worked their butts off. They really seem like the team to beat in these playoffs. I don't know how I got talked into ignoring them in my pool. They've got all the elements, speed, goal-tending, defense, and a fourth line bunch of grinders that just go out and punish. I don't think Tampa will be able to stop them either. Great season, but glad the suffering is finally over. Watching those last four games was the equivalent of getting a colonoscopy during a root canal. Back to the drawing board. Good luck Vegas, you guys earned it.

we'll do the same thing we've done since 1991 with the Bombers. When the season finally ends, once again without a cup, we'll cry a little, we'll sigh a little, and then we'll look back on how much we were entertained and look forward to the next year with hope and good cheer. having organized a few trade shows in Vegas, I can tell you that the Teamsters there are some of the laziest people I've ever met. Really hard to get anything done on time. And they have all the power, because if you try anything to go around them you are basically screwed.

I went to a Bomber practice in 2008, just after Glenn had been demoted and Dinwiddie had taken over. I watched Randall run a few plays during a scrimmage and saw him miss open receivers by a huge margin. I don't think he was that good.

Yeah I think Vegas kind of sand-bagged the Jets in Game one and gave them a false sense that they weren't nearly at Nashville's level, and that made the Jets slack off a bit. Plus there's still a hang-over from the last series, which was a monumental achievement, beating the best team in the league. Let's hope period 3 is what we see for a full three periods on Friday. It's time to put this pretend team of cast-offs and losers in the dirt.
