No shame losing to Vancouver they've been one of the better...oh never mind...- The RIP 2021 Thread
Tawny Kitaen, Bachelor Party and music video star, dies at 59 (msn.com) Bachelor Party - Making Of - YouTube Classic movie!- Around The NHL 2020/21
The New York Rangers are extremely disappointed that Capitals forward Tom Wilson was not suspended for his horrifying act of violence last night at Madison Square Garden. Wilson is a repeat offender with a long history of these types of acts and we find it shocking that the NHL and their Department of Player Safety failed to take the appropriate action and suspend him indefinitely. Wilson’s dangerous and reckless actions caused an injury to Artemi Panarin that will prevent him from playing again this season. We view this as a dereliction of duty by the NHL head of Player Safety, George Parros, and believe he is unfit to continue in his current role.- Game 51 : @ Ottawa
time to start scoring some goals. I was really excited by Dubois coming here but he's showing me nothing right now.- Game 50: @Montreal
yes on that one - and I got the team they beat wrong - it was the Colorado Rockies they beat to end the losing streak. 30 games! Yikes. Winless in Winnipeg: 1980–81 Jets Set Record Streak (thehockeywriters.com) now the silver lining on that horrible season was that we ended up with Dale Hawerchuk.- Game 50: @Montreal
Starting to get flashbacks to the 1980-81 season...when we finally won after 27 losses it was like winning the Stanley Cup. And they beat the Islanders of all teams to break the streak...- Game 50: @Montreal
Have Trevor Lewis and Kyle Connor switched uniforms? LOL- Game 48 : Edmonton
- Game 48 : Edmonton
Is it too late to bring up Patrice Cormier from whatever third rate Bundesliga team he is playing on? That was always the official beginning of tanking season when he would be called up from the Moose.- Game 47 : Toronto
Yes all those Cups he's won over the years are a testament to his leadership ability....- Game 48 : Edmonton
will Lowry be back?- Game 47 : Toronto
one opinion I've had since he entered the league - Joe Thornton is a giant piece of ****. Who picks on a guy half their size? Joe Thornton. Man I was wishing Buff could have come out of retirement for that one game, and as Joe is cross-checking Ehlers, Buff step in and pound him right into the ground. That would have been sweet.- Game 46 : Toronto
Wrong Foligno...- Game 45: Edmonton
Yup this is a bad one- Game 45: Edmonton
Can't wait to see Dubois back at center with Connor and Ehlers.- Game 45: Edmonton
Stanley definitely looked the rookie in that giveaway...yikes.- Game 45: Edmonton
McDavid and Dri playing together. Shut down that line (somewhat) and what else does Edmonton have?- Around The NHL 2020/21
and we started Brossy and rested Scheif, Wheeler and Connor, and still won...lol- Game 44: @Toronto
That was beautiful. He made Marner and Rittich his you know whats on that play.- Game 41: @Montreal
any idea what he did to deserve that 10 minute penalty? Other than just being a general ******-bag we all expect him to be? Was he chirping the refs? Anyone know?- NHL Injury Watch 20/21
The French Connection!- Game 39: Ottawa
Yes if I had to choose I would take a D man. Of course. But I do miss Laine's rocket of a shot.- vintage CFL on Youtube
Just watching the Calgary/Winnipeg 1995 game, a few comments - at the 24 minute mark (ish) - Slack throws a pass to Stegall (incomplete). He takes a hellacious hit to the head from the Calgary player and goes down like a sack of potatoes, but then just gets up after collecting himself on the ground. Glad to see the game has moved to the point whereby hits like that are flagged etc. The play doesn't even warrant comment from Don and James Curry who just ignore the horrible hit to Slack's head, other than Curry talks about how CFL QB's get "worn down" by hits like that during a game (lol) and then Don talks about a young Milt Stegall who told the Bomber coaching staff after his debut game in Calgary the week before: "I am tired and I have a lot to learn". LOL 55:26 - trademark Whitman calling Baker on a big punt run back - "look out!!!" 1:34:25 - history is made - Milt's first CFL touchdown. And Whitman calls it - "intended for Stegall deep...he's got it!!!" 1:45:25 - Milt's second TD. He already is showing flashes of being something really special. Reggie Slack had a weird wind up but he seemed to have a lot of tools, including really good scrambling ability. If I am ever near Navarre Florida I will try and visit his pizza restaurant, if it survived COVID. - Game 54 : Vancouver
