When Flanders was out, Harris was taking far more punishment and he was less effective. IMO Lefrance should be there for depth when they have to juggle the ratio.

I get 5th graders spouting this stuff because they hear it from their dad at home. 1. The non - call when Sheifele's nose was bloodied up was definitely a blatant missed call. But the same can be said for the non-call on the Buff trip today 2. The Knights had 4 or 5 players back defensively on a consistent basis, the Jets usually had 3 or 4. 3. The Jets are a passing team that played dump and chase too much. On a power play or with an empty net, a team of the Jets' calibre should be moving the puck in with crisp passes. 4. Fleurry didn't make the difference all by himself, nor did he steal any games, but he was superb

I think Wild would be a very good option as a DI. Depth at two positions and a solid special teams player.

Vegas has played better defensively - the Jets have more O zone time but Vegas is giving up very few odd man rushes, forcing the Jets to muck and grind for most of their scoring chances.

Which leads to Vegas generating chances off the rush, while the Jets have to rely mostly on their forecheck.

I'm genuinely curious - do you think both of those things are true? I didn't watch Vegas at all during the season - their speed and tenacity as part of a team concept is quite an interesting mix.

I think they looked tired and will actually benefit from a couple games on the road.
