  1. Na, just quieter music in the bars, double masking for schools.
  2. Damn straight - and the school system would function a lot better with fewer sick days needed, if this had always been the practice. I know it's tough to keep kids at home, but if everyone did it, it would be required less often.
  3. Ok, that's what you mean. I think the answer to that is, they have enough to do contact tracing the people who have been in contact with a positive test. They literally contact people every day until their isolation is done. I can't imagine them doing that for what could potentially be just a cold. It comes down to people doing the right thing on their own.
  4. I am seeing and hearing the opposite. I am aware of multiple instances where entire families were asked to isolate, even those who never had symptoms and even tested negative.
  5. Not bad, crappy job with the German.
  6. They can be over 500, as long as it’s not over 30% capacity.
  7. Then they will need to work towards more accurate testing. Look man, I know people who tested negative after travel, but then later tested positive and infected others. Things are going to change for airlines, not only due to less tourism, but also due to more Zoom meetings. A rapid test won’t change that.
  8. Absolutely not. People in the early stages who are asymptomatic will often test negative.
  9. I'll add a Do or Die here................... It's all fouled up......anyway...
  10. My wife has extensive knowledge of this...
  11. If herd immunity really worked - then epidemics would have been less devastating during the pre - vaccine era. Look at the Black Death, for example, people died from it for over two centuries.
  12. I’m not sure if slowing down or stopping asymptomatic testing is necessarily bad - asymptomatic individuals will often test negative. I personally know someone who tested negative but continued to social distance because of travel - they tested positive about 5 days later, after the onset of symptoms.
  13. Yes, something was immediately strange about that King's Head story. I heard an interview with the owner on Monday morning, and it sounded like he was on the ball when it came to Covid. Then I saw the article - decided to wait for more info to emerge... Time to turn down the music...
  14. The Westman outbreak had more easily identifiable clusters. I don't expect Winnipeg to be under control any time soon - just my 0.02. Most definitely. Their actions are now affecting the entire city and surrounding area. On a personal level, this is getting exhausting. Some people don't care at all, while others care too much - it's draining. At work, in life and on social media. I think I'll just go whack some ash at my woodpile.
  15. The mayor - eats waffles with fried chicken (extra skin).
  16. No need - he left his suspenders back in Alberta.
  17. People can be cleared by public health, but their body still feels the effects of the virus. This can range from mild to severe. Even someone who is still hospital, might no longer be contagious.
  18. Yes, hopefully we can get the remaining red designations moved to yellow, and have all schools fully open.
  19. Yes, that was the case for me, my test came back negative. It’s not just asymptomatic but also not having travelled and not having contact with a known case.
  20. No, they have spent the past month explaining why they 'weren't' doing that.
  21. Absolutely there were clusters on Hutterite colonies, but MB. is still getting 15 - 30 cases daily, the low of 9 didn't last long. Look, they were asking Hutterite communities, even those who have no more cases and even some who never even had any - to start the year with remote learning - a one size fits all approach. It took some pretty serious work to stop that from happening. It would have been the equivalent of starting all the schools in Brandon with remote learning.
  22. Not to mention, we have an MB. government that is more than happy to find a scapegoat. https://www.brandonsun.com/local/proposed-teacher-restrictions-worry-hutterite-colonies-572280252.html
  23. Agreed. Whenever I read an article, I’ve already seen the info here.
  24. He's right though - boneless wings are made from breast meat.
  25. We are beyond 666...beyond the beast...😎🤩😜
