Who is talking about two games this year? Saskatchewan's offensive line ranked below ours last year when everything was all said and done.

Bryant Turner Wins All 4 Player Of The Week Awards; Gives Away 3
Back when I used to talk to Penton more on Twitter and have conversations with some of the players, etc it used to come up pretty often actually. I don't think it helped that my Twitter handle has "wpg" in it just like the Bombers' official page and I had to change my display picture to something that wasn't a Bomber logo but before that, I used to get players sending me Youtube videos, agents contacting me for tryout information and all kinds of stuff like that pretty regularly. The weirdest one I ever had was somebody from a little town newspaper in North Carolina contacting me for permission to interview Perry Floyd for a local article. It's entertaining, but I never messed with anyone.

Bryant Turner Wins All 4 Player Of The Week Awards; Gives Away 3
You can thank Turner's old agent for that one. Back in the day, he contacted me on Twitter thinking I was in the personnel department for the team and thanked me for giving BT (and Denmark, who he also represented) a chance to make the team. I explained I was just a fan and we got to talking about players and he just really had me sold on Turner as a player.

Dexter Davis In, Freddie Harris Out This Week
Davis will be going on the roster as the DI in place of Freddie Harris, according to Tim Burke on the coaches show. Just heard this mentioned, thought it was super interesting because I'm a big Dexter Davis fan. Wondering if this is to give them a bit more speed off the edge to track Burris. Either that or maybe Davis is finally game ready after his injury.

Defense!
I can't see the video but whether Ford touched it or not, the refs made the decision that Ford was the one who fumbled the football and that turned the scrum between Goltz and Hebert into a neutral battle for a loose ball as opposed to one player attempting to recover the fumble of another player. The down by contact rules are apparently different for either situation.

Defense!
The Hebert/Goltz play makes sense once you realize the refs determined that Ford fumbled initially, not Goltz. It makes all the difference on that play.

As selected by the generous and humble Bryant Turner.

Labatte was horrendously overpaid. So far it looks like a terrible deal for Saskatchewan.
-
Cgy At Ssk
Not yet, that's for sure. Labatte is among the highest paid OL in the league, guard or tackle. 185k is about the top end of where NI players come in at, regardless of position. With the salary cap going up, that may change but as of right now ...

Congratulations to Bryant Turner on winning the defensive player of the week award, first Bomber to take home an award this season.

There's not a single Canadian in this league making 200k a year.

Bombers Add Simmons To Pr, Cut Pavlopoulos
As per official Twitter.

Sears is just a lights out football player. One of my favorite Bombers.

lol at calling Vonk a legit OL but not even wanting to protect Greaves.

Well with our current stable of non-imports, I'd imagine we'll look to protect 4 current starters and 3 other players. I suspect that if Muamba signs a new deal, they'll attempt to time it so that he doesn't need to be protected in the expansion draft. If not, that's one more spot gone. Morley won't be protected. At least one receiver that some people will expect us to protect will be left available. Then you can decide whether you want to protect Pencer, Palardy, Renaud, Swiston, etc from that point.

Bryant Turner Injury
I'm starting to wonder if Frazier sits and Jake Thomas starts at DT.so that we can dress Aaron Woods.

I feel like I've heard of this Aaron Woods guy before.

Defense!
The one thing I like about our defensive tackles (whether it be Gilmore or Anderson next to Turner) is that they all have excellent pursuit speed and even though they're huge dudes, they're fast by CFL lineman standards.

Defense!
I'm pretty sure 3 out of the 4 have been on second and short as well, so he's doing a great job to prevent teams from getting those key first downs.

Lock Of The Week (Week 3)
Simpson, although I kind of want to be cheeky and pick Goltz.

Defense!
To all those who are thinking Hall hasn't made enough of an impact this year ... he leads the league in tackles for a loss with 4 through 2 games. On top of that, just to show you how dominant that is ... there are 5 teams with 4 or less TOTAL.

Game Day Thread
I never thought I'd say this given his preseason but I'd take Dunn at LB and Sears at CB over Sears at LB and JJ at CB right now.

Buck Pierce......should Goltz Start?
The defense gave up 29 points, actually ... not 38. And on top of that, let's see just how Montreal scored those points. 7 points off a drive that started in field goal range after a Buck Pierce INT on the first offensive possession ... so the defense gets NO break after a tough stop to start the game. 3 points off another Buck Pierce INT that gave Montreal the ball starting in FG range 3 points on the NEXT drive (again no break) after a Chad Simpson fumble AGAIN giving Montreal a chance to start with the ball in field goal range. There's your first half. 13 points off turnovers and realistically, the lowest they were going to give up was 9 considering Montreal started in field goal range on every one of those drives and had only two plays off in between possessions on two of those. 3 points off a 12 play, 85 yard drive. 7 points off ANOTHER drive starting in field goal range after Burke's awful decision to punt in the end zone. 3 points off a 10 play, 49 yard drive. 3 points off a 6 play, 38 yard drive. So basically, what it boils down to is that they held Montreal to field goals every single time they had a whole field behind them and even when the offense / coaching staff set them up for failure, they still held all but twice. So yes, I'd absolutely say it was a dominating performance that was robbed by the offense. 29 points allowed, 13 of which were off turnovers that gave Montreal the ball in FG territory and you can even tack on the other 7 that resulted in them starting in FG range because of a bad coaching call. That leaves 9 points that Montreal actually busted their ass to earn.

Buck Pierce......should Goltz Start?
Honestly though, he has a point. Our argument is based on what we've been shown the past 2-3 years. Your argument is based on ... hope, more or less.
