  1. I'd still take Norzil in the later rounds.
  2. Westerman says all 9 CFL teams contacted his agent but Winnipeg was the best fit.
  3. Exactly, would you rather be Edmonton who drafted Scott Mitchell? We both have nothing right now, but at least we have some hope for the future. Edmonton already knows they blew it.
  4. Rookie Waud and Thomas on their own - not enough to move the ratio. Add Westerman? Now drafting Waud makes sense for this team. I'd sooner suggest that they will look at an all import secondary. Both of these are good problems to have. Keep coming up with good problems Walters - big thumbs up. I'd prefer Bucknor as a starter over JFG. I do like JFG though. I'll gladly take that problem.
  5. Yeah I can't really hold picking Mulumba against Mack. And either way, the odds are still in our favor that he plays for us eventually. In hindsight, we could have had Edem and likely would have if Walters had his way, but the pick was a gamble either way. Funny year, that draft year.
  6. I was thinking the same but I think it's for two more years
  7. 3 year deal you have to be ****ing kidding me. I thought at max they'd get him to commit for two, but to have three years of control is unbelievable.
  8. I'm sure plenty of people will be scared by the price tag, but the reality is that this guy is going to be consuming a ton of snaps for us as a Canadian starter at an impact position. And has the potential to be very effective at it.
  9. Question for you Where do you think he is more suited to ? NT, 3-techinque DT or on the DE ? Would almost guarantee he's going to be the guy who takes Greg Peach's spot.
  10. Absolutely huge signing. I originally thought the Bombers were going to go after him earlier this offseason. You can learn a lot from who follows who on Twitter. But then all those reports that BC and Toronto were strong after him came out and I figured we were out of luck. This is huge for us.
  11. I think between Hurl and Newman, we'll have a decent amount of production from a Canadian LB spot and to be honest, I don't really care where on the field that is. I'm not expecting it to be in the middle but that's what training camp is for.
  12. I think it's Bucknor. Actually, you make a good point.
  13. I have to admit, I think if the new rules are going to affect anyone in our secondary, it's Washington. Surprise cut ... my money is on Don Unamba or Bruce Johnson.
  14. West 1. Edmonton 2. Calgary 3. Saskatchewan 4. Winnipeg 5. BC East 1. Hamilton 2. Toronto 3. Ottawa 4. Montreal Winnipeg makes playoffs over Ottawa, beats Hamilton and Toronto to meet Edmonton for the Grey Cup.
  15. There are a good amount of guys like Demetrius Wright who are listed as DBs who are definitely going out for the SAM spot. Gabe Lynn is another off the top of my head.
  16. We didn't dedicate over 10% of our mini camp roster to finding middle linebacker candidates just to start Hurl there.
  17. Worth mentioning - Browns mini camp is also this weekend, before the draft
  18. Rodney Lamar and Khalil Bass, the herd is pretty thinned out by now. I bet we lock up at least one more MLB candidate before camp though.
  19. Marcus Ball ... if he wants to come play in the CFL ... would be more than welcome here.
  20. Considering the number of Canadians the Giants invited to their mini-camp, those dates are perfect (May 8-9). Let's just hope Walters or someone in the Bombers organization has some connections with he Giants to find out those players standings and likelihood of them getting offers, if they haven't already received them by May 12. Could be a coincidence, but between Da'rel Scott and Nate Collins, you might suggest we've got a contact with the Giants.
  21. Even if he wasn't signed, he's a mid-to-late pick at best. This draft is too deep, you wouldn't be trading a first or second rounder for a neg list QB.
  22. Good point - most mini camps are next weekend so offers may be determined by the CFL Draft
  23. Mini camp invites mean one notch more than S-F-A
  24. Jacob Ruby signs with the New York Giants 2015 Draft getting decimated lol most of these guys aren't going to stick, but man are CFL executives going to have to earn their salaries next week.
