He's going to be a depth guy (if anything) but I've long held to the belief that the organization should do more to develop and retain local talent. It is also something fans can get behind as well .. they identify with local kids .. Manitoba products .. simply another way to connect with the onfield product. That said, talent always trumps birth place .. but it would be nice to see more players who played in Manitoba .. getting a chance with the Bombers.

If I remember correctly from when I went in to pick up my tickets, all the suites on the East side appear to be sold / accounted for. I can only assume the West side (Bomber side of the field) is sold out as well.

The simple fact that the ownership group went so far as to ASK people to refer to the team as the REDBLACKS demonstrates how incredibly ridiculous the name is. This is what happens when someone falls in love with an abstract idea.

Most inconsistent at this point. Easily.

A couple of quick thoughts: * Ford and Simpson looked great out of the backfield. Great burst and quickness; the few reps I caught where Vonly was involved demonstrated he was *noticeably* slower than the other two guys. * Defense got the better of Clement today and batted a few of his passes down. Didn't really do much to distinguish himself. * Renaud was easily the most consistent punter on the field. * Etienne didn't look out of place when running with the first team offense though McGee, at one point, stripped a ball from him (good play on the defense) and I question how he (Etienne) might fair against more physical DBs.

I wouldn't be disappointed to see Mainor pushed off the roster.

Great news for the organization. The new barn is going to be rockin on game day.

Yeah .. but it's cheap and easy for writers in this town to take shots like that ..

Problem I have with Mainor being involved in something like this that, at times last season, his play was also very undisciplined and it cost the team. I have *ZERO* issue with intensity and emotion coming out during camp .. but I am a firm believer in "play the way you practice" and I'd rather that intensity be focused and directed.
