  1. This is hot nonsense. RBs have looked pretty good, to the point where its hard separating the starter and backup from the camp guys. Cotton, Marshall and Randle have all looked good. Even Anderson reeled off a huge run today. are you serious? considering they have looked terrible. our RB's are a weak part of the team right now. What can i tell you. you can think what you want. i'm telling the reality. Do not be surprised if we bring in a new RB soon. Cameron is our best RB of the bunch however.
  2. If you do not like what i am typing then do not read. How about that? I know more about football than pretty much all of you combined and have more experience to back it up. Deal with it. IC Khari I see now what they mean by you being the most annoying poster here. You have zero knowledge of anything and lack sense in anything you type. Obviously you have never been around a football team or the media. I can assure you that the local media talk about things all the time. It's their right. Try being involved with NHL media outside Winnipeg. I can not tell as i am not inside the locker room. But they are. And if they say its an unusual locker room then they are right. If you recall few years ago with Mike Kelly how he did not like the locker room and tried to make changes just on that alone. It's a serious problem. Some of these players join cliques that stick with them to the pros. You can tell already that 3 of 4 players are extremely close. You don't think this shows inside the locker room. Do you think they are all buddies? most of these players dont give a damn about one another so put down your pride and get a reality check. This is pro football. I can tell from day 1 from the break that the coaches distant themselves from players as there already is a social barrier. MOS last year alone spoke about being a player coach trying to build a nucleus that can help build this team up from the ground. Saskatchewan did a great job with that. Winnipeg has struggled. Gotta keep the locker room together and it starts in camp. so far it might not be going to well.
  3. i would expect some cuts at RB. They all have been horrible except for flashes from Cameron. Buck better get his butt in gear and them going or our OL and QB will be pressured all season long.
  4. Huh? he is choosing to sit out on his own since he want to be 100% Your reality and mine are very different. what don't you understand? lol like are you serous.
  5. It was a cold morning at practice. Obviously not as many were in attendance but still a decent turnout. I left early in 2nd half of practice but got a chance to see some great up and close battles. I spoke with someone close to the WBB and advised me that he has hard a rumor the bombers negotiating a contract with a well known player. We can discuss who that be. Heard members of the media mention how the last few days they noticed how divided the group is.. Everyone is in groups (which is very rare for a TC) - nobody talking to one another - dining schedule is different. not sure what it was all about but maybe they have been talking about this since yesterday. Wasn't going to bring it up. Maybe tweet one of the fellas. BEST TODAY Barron Miles is gonna help out big time. All over the field and very hands on. This is how you coach. Going to be a great head coach someday. Lavasier Tuinei came to make the roster and there is no way he is going anywhere. Very fast - catches everything - and blocks extremely well. Chip Kelly and the staff coached him very well. You can see why he was the Rose Bowl MVP as you need to be explosive and sharp with routes playing against big 10 teams. Size helps him a little but he plays his position perfectly. Going to be better than Chris Matthews for the WBB. Demond Washington was pretty good in practice today. Some of the fans were giving him a hard time today about roughing up the receivers but that's what you want. He has the foot speed to play within the rules. And the new rules will benefit him as he was always playing under those rules at Auburn. He will play a read-zone technique that will allow him to be off 3-5 yards that can net him some INT's this year. I expect some INT's at wide side of the field. Goosen wasn't that bad on day 1 and did a pretty good job on day 2. His run blocking was very, very, very good on many occasions. WORST TODAY RB's. all of them. again in drills were very sloppy. Maybe Buck needs to send a message with MOS and cut some players asap. Not one of the RB's looked good. If I had to chose (1) to say who was good. It would have been Cameron. At least he can catch with speed out of the backfield with ease. That's his style and I can see him being a much more useful back than Grigsby was. Addison Richards is his name? not sure. But consensus among those chatting with the media that he is holding off playing. He knows he has a roster spot locked up so why risk injury. Right? or maybe wrong. I don't think its a bad injury. I think camp is overwhelming and he wants to be 100% and not struggle at all. Which reminds me what many CIS players say amongst the creachers. He ain't gonna quit but he needs to suck it up and get out there. His teammates are noticing this. Stanley Bryant was so-so on day 1 and what others told me he was getting beat badly in drills. So I paid attention to him today before he stumbled with an injury (not sure if he returned) and yes he did get beat. So maybe he is not a practice guy. But he was getting beat to the edge quite a bit. I might not be at practice tomorrow as I am leaving on a business trip this evening and tomorrow is a short practice. But i'll try to get on with you guys again in the chat room this evening. Say 10pm. Great fun talking to you all about camp last evening.
  6. why dont you stay out of my thread. thank you. typical rider fans
  7. Calgary OL is a big concern unless they have found rookies to fill in. Edmonton defense will not be as good and they have huge holes at WR. Saskatchewan OL will not be as good and they have holes on the DL. BC has the best coach after Hufnagel but QB play to start the year is a concern. Tedford can coach QB's and he has proven to coach some of the games best. CALGARY SASKATCHEWAN EDMONTON BC WINNIPEG Toronto will struggle all year. Hamilton will not be the same team but has a HC to kick their butt to make them even. Ottawa will be much improved and will compete if they get QB play. Montreal has a very good D and a very good young QB. MONTREAL HAMILTON TORONTO OTTAWA (there will be no crossover because TORONTO will get hot to end the season) playoffs SASKATCHEWAN vs CALGARY HAMILTON vs MONTREAL GREY CUP CALGARY vs MONTREAL CHAMPIONS CALGARY Hufnagel's last game will be in his old stomping ground city in Winnipeg and Mitchell will be league MVP and GC MVP
  8. i was also thinking this. whatever we are thinking at least you agree that Malzahn can coach. And its Malzahn not malazan.
  9. Thursday night games are horrible for the NFL but they work for NCAA and CFL. Especially in the CFL in summer months its best to get as many games on in the week as possible. that is why getting 1 more team to make it a 5 game week would be best. You can have 2 Thur double - same on friday and 1 saturay or 1 sunday. matchup thursday night games to be the night for montreal (as they enjoy those games) or ottawa. Thursday games do not work in the NFL it hurts the product and makes bad tv even if your fave team is playing.
  10. i would say its almost impossible. so i would ask you to name say (2)? that should be easy. cause its impossible. and do not name NAIA or d3 schools. real NCAA bcs programs run their operations like professionals. No where near CIS programs. CIS programs are like playing for AAA sharks or Brandon Wheat Kings. If some NCAA players are having trouble keeping up in the CFL its due to lack of effort and why Gabe Lynn was released. He didn't want to be here anymore. You can tell the skill difference between some of these guys. Look at someone like Darvin Adams to say JFG. Adams is more polished. He is more fit. You can also look at how they handle coaching. Today there were so many players shrugging off what Buck Pierce was saying during drills. And them someone like Cameron Marshall steps up and is extremely polished. You need to understand the difference of coaching. There is a big gap in talent of coaching between Brian Dobie and Guz Malzahn. Players were shrugging off what Buck Pierce was saying today??? I definetely did not see that. Would you mind expanding on what exactly you saw that makes you think that? Who were the players doing this? sure thing. About every single RB/FB. It wasn't done vocally but in drills that were meant for technique it was happening all over the place. Players like Marshall and Cotton were the better ones. Marshall comes from a talented family. His brother is one of the best RB's in the NCAA and could be a 1st round pick next year.. When Buck was coaching 'escaping the LB rush' he went over it 3 times and not one of the first 5-6 or so players were doing it correctly. Then Buck yelled at them a little bit and the next player tried to do it but it looked like he just didn't get the concept. I think it was Fitzgerald. Then Buck did all he could and say ''good job. lets move to the next thing''
  11. if there were no NI-IMP rule the entire roster would be full of NCAA players.
  12. CJOB is actually a very, very successful station. Its not a station for 80 yr olds its a station for information. If you want politics you go to cjob or cbc radio. talking about pot holes. CJOB. talk about downtown biz. yup CJOB it is. CJOB is a business station and very good at it. The issue is the avg people dont enjoy listening to that and listening to commercials which is a cjob staple. The other issue that CJOB has is there are no underground agreements that capture different audiences. But that might change with the Manitoba Moose. CJOB might be getting those rights. Which gives CJOB a winter staple to its programming.
