  1. Two thoughts: That was **** clock management at the end of the half. Kramdi has been ******* terrible this evening.
  2. I'm of the opinion that I don't care if you've been around the game 20 years or 2 days .. everyone should have a voice. It doesn't matter if you know the X's and O's, this is a place for *all* fans to talk about and support the team.
  3. I've been Mitchell's biggest detractor from the get go but *will* say that he did get better as the game went along last week. That's not saying much mind you and I'd much rather have Smith on the roster (if he's good to go) to not only return kicks but take snaps at RB.
  4. Is he though? We have some of the worst teams play in the CFL. That's not an indictment of just Karamoko - that whole phase of the team is letting us down. Karamoko's utility is that he's a cheap, global player .. not that he's doing anything meaningful on teams. Hell .. they should just start Adams at RB. Defensive lineman, punter .. snaps at running back. Guy seems like he can do it all! I kid .... sort of.
  5. The one thing that really stands out (from the highlights at least) is how clean a pocket Streveler had for the most part. Couture and Desjarlais were huge pieces of our offensive line and we have never even come close to adequately replacing that talent. Also, that return by Grant demonstrates everything a returner should be. Fearless. Decisive. Speed to burn.
  6. If Miller is stepping in (before Walters does) there's a bigger problem that needs addressing. What I see happening is Miller speaking to Kyle and Kyle having that discussion with O'Shea and I hope those conversations are already ongoing. For better or worse, each of the three (Walters, O'Shea and Miller) have largely stayed out of each other's business .. they've let each other do their jobs and stayed out of the way. This was part of the larger cultural change for the organization and really helped eliminate some of the top down dysfunction we saw during the years we really struggled.
  7. For his first game, in brutal conditions against a team that knows him pretty good .. I think he did pretty damn good and looked better as the game went on. Granted .. as the game went on injuries started piling up on our side but you can only square off against the guys lining up against you and he came away with the W.
  8. After two stinkers in a row, you bet the fans are going to start staying away if we don't start turning things around.
  9. On a completely different note, Armstead ran hard for the RedBlacks last night and looked good
  10. Just adding my two bits here .. none of the three interior linemen get a pass for last night - each of them were bad but, of the three, Dobson was "least bad".
  11. I think a lot of Kolo's deficiencies stem from him being unable to sustain his blocks. He was routinely manhandled by more physical / athletic linemen last year and that's rearing its ugly head again this year. Perfect example is how Mustafa Johnson was consistently eating Kolo's lunch last week.
  12. I'm still waiting for the dude who was going on about how easy pass pro is for a running back to talk about Augustine's stellar performance last night.
  13. The problem is that they've never given teams any indication he's not running the ball when he's on the field - it's an easy key. I don't believe he's hurt (beyond what happened in the game last week). I believe they are content to have him be this one-dimensional thing which is maddening to me.
  14. I'm a firm believe that teams always need to be developing the "next one" .. they have to balance veteran leadership with staying young, hungry and fresh but honestly, I'd take Jeffcoat's half season - with a solid rotation behind him - vs anything Haba has shown. Yes, 😑
  15. Was he though? Or was he just a guy who had a steady performance. It's not like he was particularly disruptive or jumped off the page. He was just kind of there. Not flashy but not a liability either. He's the kind of guy (and one of many) who should have been pushed harder to keep a roster spot in camp.
  16. Especially because we've been so spoiled the last number of years. I started calling out our interior line play VERY EARLY last season. It was atrocious then and it's gotten worse this year. I don't know whether it's schematic, lack of talent or lack of communication but Dobson, Kola and Neufeld are not playing well as a unit and I'm not entirely convinced that Eli would make much of a difference either (it couldn't be worse). Until they sort out the protection up front, this is what we have to look forward to.
  17. That ball was going the other way if Demski didn’t stab that.
  18. We have 4 giant holes on the offensive line.
  19. Bridges. It’s a play Nichols makes.
  20. Absolutely but with the way our line has played tonight .. does it matter?
