Bailey could actually hold up while taking rotational snaps (and the live reps would do him a world of good development wise). Weitz on the other hand will never see a defensive snap and if he does, something has gone HORRIBLY HORRIBLY wrong.

This. I'm so sick of "hazy / juicy" IPAs. While not really pine forward, Low Life's Double Times IPA is phenomenal and surprisingly (dangerously) easy to drink at 7.8%.

I honestly don't think he's lost that escapability: it's that he's forced to escape more often than he has at any other time with us (and sees significantly more pressure from all over). He never lets his feet settle and so he's always off platform when he throws and a big part of that is because he doesn't trust his protection.

This. This was really what I was getting at in terms of the "guys we've had in camp" the last while .. I can't honestly say we've brought in the right guys .. I can't honestly say that I trust the process when for, the last three years, we've seen where we are deficient and have not had those holes addressed. There hasn't been a concerted effort to find the next Bighill or Jefferson or Stanley Bryant. There's no pipeline or succession plan. All that said, I will give this organization credit, we've won a tonne of games and have enjoyed a lot of really great football but rightly or wrongly it *feels* like that window is closing.

Frankly, while wins in the regular season are fun and easy to rally around, championships are what matter and the "pieces we've brought in" haven't been up to the task.

Total knee jerk reaction but ... I know Free Agency hasn't truly started and that you don't win a Grey Cup in February. I know it's still early and that the braintrust has their plan. It just feels like the market is saying "Anywhere but Winnipeg .." Ooof. Hard to look at the pieces we are losing and losing out on then reflect on the guys we've had in camp the last while (and how we've used / evaluated those players) and feel good about the coming season.

That's a damn shame. I loved Wolitarsky as a player and always felt he was misused in our offense over the years. Thank you for your years in Blue and Gold!

If I'm being honest .. I'd say, no ... we don't. We may have a few pieces but, overall, we lack physicality and presence on both sides of the ball.

He's as much a lock as anyone can be. While with the Blue and Gold he's been a CFL all-star 6 times, 4 time most outstanding lineman, 2 time Grey Cup winner and has been an anchor on our offensive line for (now) 10 seasons.

Ford is erratic at best and I wouldn't trust him to hit the broad side of a barn with any regularity let alone be willing to hand him the keys to what has been a model franchise the last half decade.
