You look at these none playoff teams in the Jets conference: Los Angelas Dallas Colorado San Jose Edmonton Arizona And the Jets will be in tough to make the playoffs again next year. I'd say any of those teams with the exception of maybe Arizona has a legitimate chance of making the playoffs (not saying they all will, but wouldn't surprise me if any of them did). Vancouver / Calgary / Winnipeg may be teams that could drop out of the playoffs next year. Going to be a dog fight from start to finish. A lot of parity in the league right now.

For sure implications. Kesler is also 1 year older. Kessler though is a centre and a pretty decent face-off man. That should make his value higher than Ladd's. I still think Ladd's camp is looking for 6 - 6.5M with similar term to Kesler.

None of us here are in a position to tell a lot of people what to do. It doesn't preclude you from having an opinion on it or discussing it. If we were only going to discuss things that we could actually affect, I might as well just shut this message board down. Coaches don't really listen to our opinions on football. I believe that we should look at these discussions and opinions we have on the deep south and do some self reflection on pre-conceived notions or things that we simply accept in our own society.

Earlier in the game, I think using pure math like this can make sense. Come the second half and especially the 4th quarter the score has to be taken into account to decide what to do. If your touchdown puts you two points ahead of your opponent, do you really want to risk that 49.9% chance (or whatever the number is) of missing your 2 point convert, or take the more likely scenario of being up by a field goal.

I don't know what that guy was doing when he was leaning over the girl, but the thing that jumped into my mind is that he was filming her laptop. I know when I'm at work my laptop could have sensitive data on it and I would be very unhappy to have someone lean in and film it. I'm betting that Skidmore and the city have a long long history. And while definitely not an excuse for how it was handled, I think it was kind of a setup on both sides. They wanted him to do something to justify them calling security. And he wanted them to do something to get it on camera. Unfortunately they both got their wish.

That is a crazy video. Re-watched it a couple of times, it looks like the guard only pulls his gun after he is being attacked. In that situation though, I don't think pulling his gun is warranted. There is a 2nd security guard in the room and if he would have defended and fought back rather than reach for the gun, he could have easily of overpowered the man. Damn lucky no one got shot. The guard should have used verbal words to identify himself and ask the man to leave before grabbing his camera. The Skidmore guy I think was trying to make a point about not knowing what the guards are when he fought back. Stupidity all around on that one.

Can't see Morrissey making the Jets out of camp. Too many NHL defensemen ahead of him. Could see him being a potential injury call-up during the season to get a chance. The way things are shaping up right now, barring any more signings, I think a minimum of two rookie forwards and maybe up to three. I think they are: Copp as 4th line centre And one or two of Ehlers, Petan, Armia, Lemieux

The best sports writers in the country don't cover the CFL. Why would you expect the best from the B Team? You are pretty quick to criticize the club and coaches but happy to give the media a pass. The best athletes in the country don't play in the CFL. Why would you expect the best from B players and coaches?
