He is correct about that based upon how he’s mismanaged player evaluation/value for quite some time now, he should put his head down 😠.

This is on management/drafting. They’ve had a lot of time to add to this core but can’t find the solid adds other teams can. If you can’t call up your 22-23 year old farmhands because they’re not ready 🤔 that’s an organizational failure. Chevy has chosen trades for borderline older players to supplement the roster instead of the next core IMO. Hopefully they don’t mess up this draft because the way they’re playing they should be in line to get a pretty quality player.🫨

Near the of the Bombers disappointing 2025 season I was thinking “I can hardly wait for hockey season to start so I can feel good about a Winnipeg team again”. Well that blew up quick 😢

I was young but I remember the 80-81 Jets (the year before Dale Hawerchuck fell into our hands). I think their record was worse than this team but not my much. Maybe we can get a break and the lottery will fall our way 🤞🏻. Chevy will probably draft a Swede for our first pick anyway 😕

If we cleaned house including GM and scouting staff (big if with the team’s owners) the rebuild might only take a few seasons. The way the current team is performing what difference would that make?

How long until Bettman and company try to give this franchise back to Atlanta?

The Jets play tonight is horrific, ghastly, and dreadful. At least we know they aren’t trying to tank, they’re just that bad 😕 If Chevy is still our GM next season you will probably be very used to it by then.

So it's not really Team Canada, it's whoever the team's coach wants on his squad. That's OK for the NHL but in best on best the coach picking guys from his own squad looks kind of bad on Hockey Canada. Mind you, they've been doing a pretty good job of that for a while now 🤪

Now that 55 has been snubbed again by Hockey Canada watch out, he’ll be out to show everyone how wrong they were. Unfortunately it won’t make a difference as we’ve already seen this season 😢. The Jets won’t make the playoffs, and it might not be a bad thing 👍🏻

This didn’t surprise me. Mark’s best chance was in 22 but COVID wiped that out. Not that he hasn’t been amazing, but is it possible the team’s record entered into the conversation?

Unfortunately while very valid and rational, none of the things you just mentioned apparently seem to matter to Chevy, or the ownership, or perhaps too many Jets fans themselves. This whole organization seems to have turned into or perhaps always was, some sort of demented, malfunctional, vexing, affront to hockey fandom, and it’s too bad because Winnipeg Jets faithful deserves so much more than the “just be happy you have a team” approach this franchise seems to emanate any time someone questions the direction or lack or direction its management is going.

The headline in today’s Friesen column in the Sun was “We’re fed up”. Jets fans concur after 15 seasons.

Never heard anything like that happening before 🤪😉. Let me guess what happens next. After burning through a few more NFL spring camps he joins the Bombers as a late TC addition (I hope) 👍🏻😁

Actually 55 has the look of someone who realizes he may have made a big mistake in believing Chevy and signing long term here. He could be thinking, “I getting up there and I’m not winning a Stanley Cup with this club am I?” 😕

Time to trade our “Chevy” for another brand 😊
