  1. I think it was mostly Teddy G.
  2. Too many people I know have moved on from this season already and are hyped about the Jets 🤣. Not the best way to go into October but to be honest, hope is something that is earned in small doses. Many aren’t even seeing that at the moment I guess 😕
  3. Missing the playoffs in a home Grey Cup year may just be the shakeup this team and management needs to dramatically turn things around next season … Ah never mind 😢
  4. Don’t worry our offence can get that back 🤣
  5. The wheels haven't just fallen off, they've been off for awhile and we couldn't or wouldn't see it 😕
  6. Chances of us winning without some of these guys in our lineup? Questionable.
  7. Like they’ve seen enough of Strev? 🙃 I like the percentages you’ve added. Gives me a Dumb and Dumber “so you’re saying there’s a chance feel” 😉
  8. Speaking of changes … if things unfold as they seem to be this season, what things are going to be different in 2026? 1. New OC (seen enough of Hogan although I’m afraid the team hasn’t). 2. New backup QB, possibly Elgersma, only because Zach’s contract runs out after 2026). 3.FA signings on the O and D line? (Haven’t even seen who’s available, but there has to be some upgrades that could improve both lines) 4. New GM? Head coach? (Extreme doubt for these) 5. Fan support wanes a bit and puts some pressure on management (hard to say but it makes sense, especially if we don’t even make the playoffs in a home Grey Cup year) 6. Status Quo on everything (😕)
  9. Even if Shrev is not on the injury report I still think his status should be “limited” 😉
  10. Grant won 4 Grey Cups of the 6(?) he coached in his CFL career. Best ever Grey Cup record for a Bombers coach. He certainly deserves the statue. Interesting though, I was listening to some Minnesota fans question why Grant doesn’t merit the same (a statue) outside of US Bank Stadium. The common analysis seemed to be that while Bud was a great coach and led his team to 4 Super Bowls, his team losing all 4 seems to be the reason why it’s not been done yet, whether that’s true or not. Likewise, while Osh has 2 Grey Cups, there has been a considerable drop off in the team’s performance in Grey Cup games and now in the regular season. So much so that many here and possibly in the fan base seem to be calling for him and the management to be replaced as soon as the team can. Time will tell, but if the team starts to flounder next year and in the next few seasons (which to be fair is common in sports), there will definitely be a massive change in sentiment towards our current coach. I can’t see there being any momentum at all in that direction if that occurs.
  11. Deluded by previous success? Not the first coach this has happened to. Perhaps we should rethink that statue 😉
  12. When it comes to CFL quarterbacking, Strevs is a nice guy 🙃
  13. Coach is sounding a bit “Mike Kellyesque” at the moment (for us old timers), but that may be a bit cavalier of me.
  14. Speaking of wiping, we can flush this but the same stuff seems to gurgle back up each week 😕
  15. Prepare to have drinks thrown on you, the back of your chair kicked, someone may pee on you or harass your wife. Oops sorry, I’m reading from the Rider fans LD playbook 😂
  16. Interestingly, their new head coach used to work for us 😁
  17. 2023 Grey Cup, two injured star Bomber players decide to “give it a go” with disastrous results IMO. Last year’s Grey Cup, our starting QB (who was already starting with a questionable ankle) injured his hand on a helmet and “gives it a go” (again not so good results). This year it’s Dalton again (not so good results if you consider the 2 point convert try). My question is, is this standard operating procedure in the CFL today despite all of the safety and other regulations built into the players association contract etc.? Also, I can’t recall the injury to Schoen in 2023 that was going to keep him out of that game before the Bombers surprised everyone with his insertion into that game. Could that (perhaps he wasn’t ready to play) or that mentality have contributed in some way to the injury he initially suffered this season? Is it possible the players association or the league would even look into this? I’m prolly just crazy for asking, of course everything was done above board 😉
  18. That’s FOOTBALL 🏈 weather! 👍🏻
  19. Huh? That’s a receivers roll. They go a get a ball that is thrown to them if it’s possible knowing full well they could take a hit or fall in an awkward position etc. sorry but when 300 pound monsters are on your tail you throw the ball, especially if it’s a guy like Schoen who has proven he can make the circus catches.
  20. I like the guy but if Schoen is injured again we replace him with Wilson and move on. His salary could be used in FA next year to bolster both lines or our defensive backfield.
  21. I actually think the team plays a more Bomber-like (the kind we’ve been more used to the last 5 or so years) game and surprises the Riders today. If we can keep the turnovers down, get the passing game back on track with 10, 88, and 83 especially we win. It’s gravy if we get the kind of production from 20 that he had last game. Defensive pressure would be nice but I think Harris is not 100% so if our dbs play like they did last game (I know it was a 4th string QB), we can walk out with a big win, even though it’s probably close.
