I honestly think there were others not rostered during the recent playoffs for the Jets that could have made substantially more of a difference than Tans did. I like the guy but he’s not the player he was in 2018. That’s who we needed but didn’t get.

I'm thinking there will definitely be a Buck watch all season. I gotta also say that even if Rourke had been playing the last few games this team could stil be 0-3 in them. If not for that late TD, which made this game look closer than it was, we’re talking about a three score win. If BO gets back and our ratio allows for the same line as game one, Zach will be more than good enough. Plus we’re playing the Elks this week so there’s that as well 👍🏻

Nothing new, this has been mentioned ad nauseam, but the Oilers are as good as they are going to get with the limited salary they can fill out their depth with. I read that 40% of their current salary goes to two players, with the remaining 60% left to build a solid team around them. As we’ve seen in the last five seasons, it doesn’t work. Bomber fans saw that last season as two receivers made almost 500 grand! Talent but balance like the Panthers have (albeit with tax advantages etc) is the way to win in sport today. A solid core of stars with great draft talent and solid pick ups will win over a few superstars. Not sure the Edmonton management has accepted this truth yet, as they will run it back one more season before McDavid signs in Toronto 😆
