Yeah, I can understand the spark part, but Appleton on the 2nd line?? The 2nd has been one of our better, consistent lines…. Why mess with them? You want to boost the 3rd line, which has been the biggest issue? Move Tanev up there and drop Appleton.

Fleury is having a bad game, as is the 3rd line. Appleton isn’t an NHL caliber player. He just isn’t.

Watched Sportsnet Central this morning and the Jets game was the 3rd highlight package they showed. I guess a Canadian team being 1st in the league, playing the 3rd place team, doesn’t qualify as a marquee matchup? What the hell is their criteria?

That was a poorly officiated game. Just not a great day for the Jets, overall.

In my opinion Stanley is worse than all of those players. Bring Coghlan back up; he’s lighting up the AHL. Stanley got toasted on the 1st goal and he was on for the 2nd. Thats -2 in a 2-0 game. He’s not good enough. He’s a mistake waiting to happen.

Stanley continuing to play is a kick in every Jets fan’s balls. Enough.

Yeah, the Leafs overpaid. I still think we did too, but if Seattle is eating some of his contract, that helps. I guess I just don’t see a need for Tanev and I’ve never really been a fan.

Yeah, Elliott may have had a chance if the team around him wasn’t a total crap show. Pretty sure he threw for over 400 yards one game…. Those kind of numbers generally aren’t flukes. He seemed like a gamer.

Stanley on the 2nd pair is ridiculous. I just don’t get it. Fleury isn’t a great skater, but he’s much more fluid than Stanley. It’s a low bar, but… Heinola is a good skater and puck mover, but small, so they don’t seem to want to give him a chance…. At least nowhere near the chance Stanley has had. Salomonsson has been playing well with the Moose, but won’t get a real shot until maybe next season.

That’s too bad for Ford. He had been heating up with the Moose. Injuries are piling up down there.
