  1. That’s what I thought too, but the replays they showed were pretty poor, so it was hard to tell anything. He was definitely pissed off.
  2. That was a very good team against a very sloppy team. It was easy to see the difference. One of the biggest examples was time and space. Tampa gave us none and we gave them pretty much all they wanted. How they defend their zone is such a huge contrast to how we defend ours. Tampa stands up at the blue line, and the Jets retreat and allow easy entry. And compare the 6 on 5 Tampa had on the delayed penalty, to the 6 on 5 the Jets had with the empty net…. Night and day. Tampa was all over us, not giving us a chance to set up. The Jets? Shrink around the net and allow uncontested passes that eventually reach the slot for a goal, before the penalty can even be assessed. The talent level, and X’s and O’s, are one thing, but the lack of urgency and aggression is also really deflating.
  3. My contribution in that regard could pay for the stadium to be domed.
  4. Nice first goal. But man, this team is so sloppy. Weak passes exiting the zone, no urgency to get to the puck. Can’t win like that. The 3rd line needs new blood. Lowry is fine, but Namestnikov needs to sit down and Nino is slumping too often.
  5. Well, at least we know the team’s main issues are being addressed.
  6. Hellebuyck is the least of our concerns. Our defending is porous and we can’t score with any level of consistency. We also had some crap bounces last night, but the Wings were just flat out better.
  7. Of course the Wings get the first PP, after the refs ignored multiple infractions against the Jets.
  8. That’s a big haul for Andersson.
  9. Jets are waaaaay too content to just clear their zone right now. They don’t defend well enough for that strategy. 🤞🏻
  10. The refs…. Come on. That hooking call on Stanley is totally ridiculous. Us being up by 5 shouldn’t dictate the calls you make.
  11. This game is nuts. After being outshot 10-0 early, the Jets have been filling the net and have the Wild ‘faithful’ booing their team. If we can manage to score 3 goals a period, we might have a chance to make a run.
  12. Yeah, I figured Gus would need to clear waivers, which means he’s kinda stuck. Zhilkin has looked decent. Hasn’t been good in the face offs from what I’ve noticed. Guys are definitely going to have an extra spring in their step when they get called up. It’s just human nature.
  13. I’m glad Salomonsson is getting another opportunity, but it’s obviously not great that it’s because our D depth is thin.
  14. Good win. Not pretty, but a good hard working win with some more depth scoring.
  15. Not so fast. Awarding a penalty shot for that is absolutely embarrassing. NHL officiating is just terrible.
  16. Super weak call on JMo, then they ignore Toews getting dumped in front of the net. It’s infuriating what these guys call/don’t call.
  17. Is O’Shea ever in a rush when hiring coaches?
  18. Hard working goal gets the lead back. JMo did the heavy lifting.
  19. Our defensive structure needs a revamping or the players need a good kick in the ass, because we give up a ridiculous amount of slot and high danger chances.
  20. Wild start to the 2nd. Good challenge and win.
  21. He would be an easy guy to let go, if anyone is willing to give up something for him. Maybe in a package deal.
  22. Did Schenn say something? Hadn’t heard that.
  23. At least they finally realized Namestnikov wasn’t contributing and benched him. I still don’t like Stanley and Schenn together…. Especially against a couple of the best players in the world. I like some of the physicality they bring, but they are wildly slow.
  24. I can’t believe he’s lasted in the league this long.
