I see you haven't replied to any of my other responses, you're cherry picking my friend.

They obviously wouldn't have him on the roster if Walters and co didn't have a plan for him. Just because you haven't seen it yet doesn't mean he hasn't been proving himself in practice. I'm sure if he comes to camp and doesn't improve on last year he will be out but that's the story for everyone returning.

Which has been our issue forever, Taking players already at their ceiling because we needed bodies to come in and start and ending up with a very average roster. When you bring players along regardless if they can't contribute right away, they have the chance to learn and grow in to a special player. We needed Etienne to come in and play but never developed. different situation.
Very few Canadians come straight out of U sports and become all stars or even start, let's be patient, there's no farm team in the CFL like there is in the NHL (unless you're the riders).

Look at Jake Harty in Ottawa. 9 catches for 81 yards in two years as a Redblack, and he's 30 months older than Addison Richards. Ottawa isn't giving up on him.
For all this talk about Richards being a third year veteran, many people forget that he's still going to be the second youngest receiver coming to our training camp this year. The only one younger is Thera-Plamondon, who isn't even being viewed as much of an option as anything other than a long snapper. He's younger than Tylor Henry, who we just drafted this year. That makes a difference. His developmental path has to be considered.

Kinda hard to prove oneself when he has been ravaged by injuries since being drafted. Had Richards been playing and not showing anything, then you'd have a point.

But this is the CFL. Plenty of players are here based on citizenship. That's just the way the league is, you don't have to agree with it but we can't ask the Bombers to operat differently just because.

Why should we cut him until someone else takes his place? To punish ourselves in order to punish him? 

Walters also negotiated this contract before the draft to avoid the fuss Jones went through with St. John last year.  Negotiating in good faith, what a concept.

scouts probably had their eyes on this guy for a while which made Bennett expendable. Kid can definitely run, 4.7 at his Height and size is not a bad time by any means.

To say he was a bust doesn't mean he was totally useless... to draft a guy in the first round who looks like he could be a starter... and he ends up being a good special teamer for only two years.... that's a bust... sure, had some nice contributions, but the bar is set higher for first round picks... 
Not going to bother dwelling on it... but I wonder if that would've changed the team's mind on (one of the) Herdman(s) in the 5th or 6th round knowing we were losing Waggoner... 

I think he was a bust, a first round pick for a ST player who played two seasons is pretty bad.
