  1. He is close to 65. I'd say he'll retire.
  2. I know some of the guys on the Stamps forum personally. They're great fans but at least one is being totally myopic playing the victim card which is totally ridiculous. They're in shock, they're angry & grasping at straws to try to explain to themselves why the Stamps continually choke year in & year out. I think most are in a state of denial & are embarrassed losing to the RedBlacks last year & the Argos yesterday. I feel bad for them as it is agonizing knowing they lost another championship. BUT...they need to come to grips with the reality of the situation. Bottom line is the Stamps didn't make enough big plays to win but allowed too many big plays & lost. In the biggest game of the season they came up woefully short. Great teams don't do that. The Stamps have a lot of great athletes but they are far from a great team. The Bombers were a better team than the Stamps. The players believed in one another & had each other's backs. The Stamps on the other hand were throwing each other under the bus after the game. That's not a team. That's a bunch of individuals playing together. Big difference.
  3. 1984 no question. After coming so close in 1983 & Clements suffering that broken collarbone in the WDF vs the Lions we lose. To go back to BC Place in 84, defeat the Lions in the WDF, then in the GC game fall behind 14-0 in the 1st qtr but ultimately score 48 straight points to beat the Ti Cats for our 1st victory in 22 years?? That. Was. Sweet!!
  4. Stamps are soft. Their fans blaming the weather or the system for their loss?? That's just crazy. Just go out & play harder than the other team. Make your own breaks. That's how you win. The Stamps continually choke. It's in the organization's DNA to choke. That's what they're about. They just choke.
  5. Had to put this gem up:
  6. I never want to see those things again.
  7. I'd like to think that if a celeb we truly liked is mentioned here that we can pay tribute to them as well.
  8. For the best in this case. David Cassidy won't be suffering anymore.
  9. Buffalo Bills say hi & send money. Lots of money, multi billions of it in US funds. The NFL says hey don't forget about me. I want my cut.
  10. I know but guys like (an older) Wally, Frank Clair, Eagle Keys, Ralph Sazio all seemed to be able to handle adversity a lot better than some of the younger guys today
  11. Wow, are we going through this "He's not elite" **** again??? We'd be nowhere without Nichols. Unbelievable. Some fans are just never satisfied. Sad. QB is NOT one of our problems. Get a grip.
  12. Gotta ask if Hall makes him a gapper like Hurl?
  13. You can't write this stuff.
  14. Are assistant coaches being hired as head coaches too young & not ready for the position? We've seen Paul LaPolice as HC have his issues with indecision as well as strange play calling when he was Bombers HC. We saw Dave Dickenson's decision to go with Andrew Buckley on the goal line that failed in last year's GC. We saw Corey Chamblin win a GC then flames out 2 years later as HC of the Riders. We've seen Jason Maas totally lose it on the sidelines & make that strange FG call yesterday. Most of these young coaches still want to be coordinators instead of just head coaches. They don't have the experience of head coaches in the past. They seem to have a tendency of loading too much responsibilities on themselves. The majority of today's CFL head coaches are generally in their early 40's. Should older & more experienced coaches be hired instead? Is hiring young coaches a liability because they lack the experience to delegate? I see a lot of stubbornness & ego when I look at Maas & Jones to their detriment. I see the same with Reed as well. Of course, I saw a lot of the same stubbornness & ego in Kent Austin as well & he's 54.
  15. I can just see Greg Marshall jumping at the chance to coach the Als. I mean, can't you??? Stubler? He's almost 70. Would Claybrooks leave the Stamps to go to the Als??? I think it all comes down to all those guys on the list feeling that Reed has the capability to bring in players, how bad the qb situation actually is & if they have faith in Reed as a GM.
  16. My take? Until Hurl is moved he is there. Thank you, Captain Obvious.
  17. I saw a tweet today with the headline discussing why the Riders lost. I was going to click on the link & then I saw it was written & posted by Rod Pederson so I just ignored it.
  18. Hard to feel sorry for a guy who treats his assistants so poorly & has a volatile temper. Ye reaps what ye sows. It all comes back ten fold. Next time he needs to remember a little humbleness & that everybody screws up. Even him. I know it's hard for Jason to accept even he can screw up. If he has a real beef with an assistant take it behind closed doors & work it out.
  19. How would any coach look without a great qb?
  20. So, Walters & O'Shea were talking about how Muamba & Mulamba have given them the cold shoulder. Conversation went something like this: Walters: Been around the world & I... I... I... And we been playa hated. O'Shea: Why? Walters: I don't know & I don't know why Why they want us faded O'Shea: Why? Walters: Is it our ladies or drop Mercedes? Baby, baby. O'Shea: Why?
  21. Call Louis Riel long distance & he can straighten you out.
  22. Well unfortunately, we know Stepanie will be there to suck the life out of Raw.
  23. Not like O'Shea at all. More like Bud Grant.
  24. Hunter did look surprisingly slow. Angle, you'd expect that with his back & neck issues. The ending did suck. So, does the Authority come back & go after Strowman who is now a full blown face? My least favourite match was the Bliss-Flair match. I thought it was awful.
  25. When you think of the word choke, the name Calgary Stampeders jumps right out at you. It'll be interesting to see if they shed that label this Sunday. I expect the collars will be tight on every player & coach for this game as there is a lot of pressure on them to win. The Argos? They've got nothing to lose so just go out, play hard, have fun & see what happens.
