  1. How can you say that? You don't know how Wettenhall thinks.
  2. Well, too damned bad. The coaches had bogged down the game with their stupid fishing expeditions. the game has more flow to it & is much more enjoyable to watch. Blaming a lack of challenges is reaching & just a crutch. Guys like Maas & Buono have no one to blame but themselves they lost the ability to have more challenges. Those days are never coming back. Refs need to be held accountable. If a team has a bad OL this is going to happen. And it's not just qbs. look at what Awe did to Finch & Messam on Saturday. Hits to the head leading with the helmet by Awe & no flags. Every player deserves protection. Not just qbs.
  3. Who else would be third? BC after their shellacking? Edmonton after losing to the Argos? The Argos??? It makes sense.
  4. A friend of mine who is a wrestling fan remembered one of his AWA interviews when he managed Bockwinkel & he was AWA champ. He sent me a message this morning. In a tv taping promoting an upcoming card at the Winnipeg Arena, Bockwinkel was asked a question by AWA announcer Marty O'Neill. Before he could answer, Heenan interjected & said, "Talk slow, Nick, these are Winnipeggers you're speaking to." Classic. I remember my Mother(a big wrestling fan) used to get so worked up over Heenan taking pot shot at Winnipeg.
  5. Lions OL got blown out. Jennings got destroyed by the Stamps DL. Singleton owned him all night. Jennings was totally psyched out. Singleton was a one man wrecking crew Saturday night. One of the best defensive performances I've seen in a long time.
  6. Burris says he isn't coming back. Ottawa has to solve this problem on their own.
  7. I go back to the AWA when he was the manager of Nick Bockwinkel. Bockwinkel was feuding with Verne Gagne for years. He always had something bad to say about Winnipeg which always fired up the crowds at the old Arena. He also managed Bockwinkel before he was AWA champ in the late 70's & early 80's when he teamed with Ray "The Crippler" Stevens when they were AWA Tag Team Champs in the mid 70's as well as managing Black Jack Lanza as well.
  8. Since we're talking retreads there's always Rakeem Cato.
  9. Rest In Peace Bobby Heenan. He had been sick a long, long time with cancer. I think his passing will come as a relief to his family.
  10. Willy. Pfft. If he starts the Als are truly finished.
  11. Why Go Drew? He's terrible. Just a journeyman backup now.
  12. I miss the hair. The big hair...
  13. No but I has bellbottomed jeans.
  14. The guys who wear Old Man Pants will remember this qb. Jonathan Jennings reminds me of Paul Brothers. lasted 3 years as the Lions starter before being replaced by Don Moorehead. Lots of potential who just didn't measure up.
  15. Ha, ha. Jennings. I love it. Even Suitor has stopped talking about him.
  16. Kohlert actually contributes to this game by catching the short KO>
  17. WTF is going on with the officials??? How can they not call that for a headshot???? Pathetic.
  18. Jennings throws another pick. Jennings is elite. Craptacularily elite. Singleton is in his head. #panicmode
  19. Jonathan Jennings can't even do a simple interview. Just full of clichés.
  20. The Stamps receiving corps is absolutely decimated. Daniels out. Jordan out.
  21. Maas doesn't do himself any favours being a dickhead coach to the officials. There's payback for sure.
  22. I won't argue with you on that. But I think they have to call that blow to Reilly.
  23. The no call on Reilly's shot to the head didn't lose this game for the Esks. Arg os RBJames Wilder's 257 yards from scrimmage did. Gotta call a spade a spade.
