  1. Like we didn't know that already. They can all afford high powered & expensive lawyers.
  2. Someone will always sign these guys. What the hell? It's only sexual misconduct or assault, right? The Oilers signed Perry. Look how the Jets closed ranks to protect Cheveldayoff who should have been fired by Chipman. Instead, that whole bizarre news conference, it was like Chevy was the real victim. The questions I have are, after the money has been paid & these non disclosure agreements signed, can they be challenged in the courts? Can the settlements be overturned & players formerly protected now be charged? Imagine if they could be, wow. I agree every player who did this to a woman needs to face their day in court for what they did. Especially as millions of dollars have been paid out to hide it. As well as HC execs who went along & approved the cover ups.
  3. Why would the Argos do that? Their ratio is set & Ouelette is exactly the same kind of back as Brady. That & the fact he's probably the best known Argo in a cluelesss city when it comes to the CFL doesn't make it smart to change. Survey says... Not. A. Chance.
  4. I hate to say this because I'm an old white man. But the old white guys running the league have no clue or refuse to spend any money to grow the CFL. There definitely need an infusion of new blood, new money & new ideas. They've allowed the CFL to atrophy for decades & now it's almost on life support. Yeah, that sounds great. Go from being married & living in an apartment, condo or actual house in the US with your wife & kids to living in a basement apartment with two other teammates if you're in Vancouver, Calgary or BC. Such is the life of a pro football nomad not playing in the NFL. That would suck.
  5. You bet. Zach's having a good time & good on him. Could you imagine if an entertainer like Swift was dating a CFL player? The popularity of the league & the eyes on it would explode. The CFL can only wish for the kind of coverage Taylor Swift would give them. Which brings up another question, why doesn't the CFL try to reach out to entertainers & actors to come to their games to be seen & heard? The league has no clue how to do anything to get the crowds back & interest up. Every year, the same damn thing...
  6. Zach's agent does the work & then tells him the numbers & they agree or disagree. then the agent talks to Walters. So,Zach has no worries & can keep partying. You know what? As far as Zach goes, good for him to be in on what's going on. We'd all trade places with him.
  7. The market has seemed to have changed again for starting qbs. The numbers are going down while the salaries for backups seem to be going up. As I said before, I'd like to see Zach restructure to give the Bombers a little more breathing room to sign our key free agent veterans that we truly need. If I know how the GMs in the CFL do business, I'm sure Walters has already approached Zach to restructure his deal.
  8. He's 36 & hasn't played in something like 7 years. I agree that his days are done as a qb, But this is Jim Harbaugh we're talking about here... If anyone is unconventional, it's him.
  9. I'm stoked to see what Harbaugh can do with Justin Herbert. Would he bring back Colin Kaepernick? He played his best football under Harbaugh. With the new sherrif running the Chargers, they may stop being the afterthought in Los Angeles behind the Rams.
  10. My condolences to the Malveaux family. He was a pretty good ball player & won a Grey Cup with the Stamps in 2001. Just 47 years old. Probably still has a young family. As has been shown this week with Bruce Covernton & Malveaux, we never know when our time is finished on this earth. All of us should be happy for the opportunity to grow old.
  11. Why did they get rid of the Grand Big Mac? That was the size the regular Big Mac was twenty years ago.
  12. Actually, if truth be known their pizza wasn't that bad.
  13. We must've angered the hockey gods. What a bad string of injuries. This is why Jets fans can't enjoy good things.
  14. It's Bowl Way, don't you know??? I wouldn't touch one of those bowl meals with a 10 foot pole as they look disgusting. It's like when McDonald's sold pizza. Subway is way outside it's comfort zone with that ****.
  15. I'd have loved for us to pry Powell out of Hamilton. Too bad we didn't trade Brown to Hamilton for him. That kid is going to be a good one. They should be giving him more playing time & not a physically wrecked BLM.
  16. Former big mouthed, arrogant & entitled Ottawa GM who Karma caught up to. I'll never forgive him mocking how bad the Bomber players were in the Expansion Draft. Asshat. Yeah, that was him.
  17. For the production he gives us he's waaaaaaaaaay overpaid. Why would we waste money on the guy? As a reliever, he has a 5 or 6 yard average. As a starter, he'd average 3.5 to 4. We just got our kicking sorted out. Why the **** would we trust a Global kicker to come in & be better?
  18. I was wondering who desjardins was. But I think you mean Drew Desjarlais.
  19. If we have to start Augustine then we're in trouble running the ball. I don't think he's good enough to carry the load 15-20 times a game for 18 games. If Oliveira leaves then watch the Bombers bring in six or 7 American running backs before training camp. The Bombers will make the change in the backfield to an American back during the pre season. Just my prediction. Milanovich-LItre? Yikes. He's not the answer. He's not even the question.
  20. No, Harty's still on the roster so I included him. If he leaves & the Redblacks can't replace him then hooo boy will they be in trouble.
  21. I'm sure things will pick up once we get into February before free agency.
  22. He's going to find out what it's like to play behind an inferior offensine line. He won't have the same grind it out running game with Oliveira although he has a thousand yard rusher in Devonte Williams. Brown has a couple of good receivers in Dominique Rhymes & Justin Harty. The rest of the cast is meh. He'll have a hard time throwing deep if he's on his back which is what I expect is going to happen.
  23. That's my thought. He'll be more Arbuckle than Reilly. We'll see. I don't want to write him off before he even plays.
  24. Longtime Stamps Left tackle Bruce Covernton passed away two days ago in his sleep. Apparently, he had a massive heart attack. He was only 57 years of age. I knew Bruce as he coached with me at Centennial High School in 2008 here in Calgary. Covernton was born in Morris, MB. After Covernton played HS football in Winnipeg, he attended Weber State & then was drafted by the Stamps in 1992. He played LT for them from 1992-98. Covernton was named the CFL's Western Division ROTY. Covernton was a CFL West Division All Star in 1993 & 94. He was named an All Canadian at Left Tackle in 1994. He was a two time Grey Cup Champion in 1992 & 98. Upon retiring, Bruce took up permanent residence here. He was an entrepreneur & was active in local charities in Calgary. He founded a company that imported coffee from Columbia. Then Covernton bought a personnel staffing company & it was very successful. He was quite a character & will be missed.
