I think the factor a lot of people are missing here is that it was a hit to the head plain and simple. Point of contact was Zach's head. Doesnt matter if it was a "bang-bang" play and wasnt late or he tried to "brace" himself whatever the *uck that means. He hit Collaros in the head which is "above the shoulder pads" in the rule book and is 100% roughing the passer. No one can argue against it.

As much as it sucks he deserves a shot at being a starter somewhere.

The hit was clean(point of contact was not the head), but i think it fell into that whole defenseless player rule. Here is the NFL definition for a receiver, i would imagine ours is similar: A receiver attempting to catch a pass who has not had time to clearly become a runner. If the player is capable of avoiding or warding off the impending contact of an opponent, he is no longer a defenseless player. So the way i read that is Arceneault was reaching out and attempting to catch the pass, the ball was not caught so he never established himself as a runner(having possession), and during this catch attempt did not have the time to avoid Loffler, hence he was still in a defenseless position, there for it was a penalty.

My buddy was in Ottawa for the epic collapse. He was giving it to them pretty hard, even starting a key gingling "Beat The Traffic" chant midway through the 4th lol. And then had to sit there and get back slaps and taunts from dozens of Redblack fans as they left the stadium lol.

He always chirps the Lions. They were the first CFL team to sign him, but they released him before he ever played a game for them. He plays with a big chip on his shoulder and lets them know what they missed out on every time. Love it. Oops, thought we were talking about Lawler. Zach does chirp the odd time too. Love it. Yup. Its going to be an insane offense in the 2nd half. Lawler and Schoen are quite possibly the two best receivers in the league. Good times.
