  1. So much this. The fact that in the 3 playoff games Collaros didn't throw a single pick is nothing short of luck, each of those games there was definitely some passes that should've been snagged by the D, but weren't. Even in the Grey Cup game, Adeleke had a glorious opportunity and did undercut the ball - he just didn't catch it. If he just picks that off, could've been a completely different game (at the time, it was 8-6 Winnipeg, they ended up hitting a field goal on the drive). As for Nichols - my heart says give him another chance, but a bum knee and now a massive shoulder injury... might be time to hang'em up.
  2. I think we need to try and keep that guy Grey Cup in Winnipeg for at least a few more years. Fits in so well with our system.
  3. Well this has aged spectacularly. Enjoy being right up there with the 16-3-1 Stamps from 2016!
  4. Man, I don't want a dime of the money they gave Durant back, I consider it payment to him not to play for us.
  5. See, I knew I needed you guys to proofread this first. Also, where's Ripper? Maybe he'll know Durant's mailing address. Maybe I should just send it to the 'Riders head office and hope that they can pass it on lol.
  6. I don't care what organization you play for, that was a total jerk move on his part.
  7. Dear Retired Blue Bomber Alumni, I wanted to take this opportunity to thank you for your proactive retirement prior to the start of the 2018 season. It set in motion a cascade of Blue Bomber fortuitousness that would rival that of the prettiest sheep at Regina's county fair. For without your ability to assess your own rancid play at quarterback, and having the foresight to understand you would be a massive step backwards for us - even as a backup quarterback, we may never have seen the running prowess of Chris Streveler as QB. If you had not so honorably fallen on your sword and retired as a Winnipeg Blue Bomber, the events set in motion that transpired during our 2019 Grey Cup season may have never come to fruition. Although some may consider your actions towards the Bomber organization malicious, nay - cowardly, I do not see things that way. You deserve every bit of the $70,000 signing bonus you were entitled to, and I want you to rest assured that your actions helped ensure that pride and integrity has been restored to the Bomber organization as a result of their 2019 Grey Cup Championship. To help commend your sacrifice for all that bleed Blue and Gold, I am including a signed bootleg copy of the 2019 Grey Cup game (on DVD), as I feel the game recording itself represents all that you understand is near and dear to the Bombers organization, grit, sportsmanship, a never-retire attitude and class. The copy is a bootleg as it is as phony as your career, personality, and legitimacy as a starting quarterback. It's a DVD because y'know - Saskatchewan (at your request, I can provide a VHS copy if that is preferable). I have also included a slice of humble pie. Sincerely, Eternal Optimist
  8. Lots of tabbies named as all-stars... good, crown their ass before they've actually done anything. Here's hoping Banks and Co. celebrate spectacularly about being the greatest that ever was from now until Saturday night.
  9. Nope. Not worth the risk, I don't want my kid growing up without a dad.
  10. Reading this thread, I feel like a sucker for paying full price legitimately through ticketmaster for nosebleed seats, what can I say, I don't trust resale sights. C'est la vie - doesn't matter where in the stands long as they get it done and the beer is cold I am more than happy.
  11. The terrifying thing is, even if MLCC manages to reestablish security protocol as tough as Fort Knox, these are crimes of opportunity - their next victims will be customers legally purchasing alcohol being attacked in the parking lots on their way to their vehicles.
  12. This is because MacLeans (rightfully so) considers being a 'Rider fan a punishable offense.
  13. Man, this reminds me of a story 'bout my old man. When I was a kid, we were out camping in Whiteshell Provincial Park, and he had to drive to pickup the boat from servicing, as he was getting all his stuff together, we asked him where he was heading... "The thriving metropolis of Rennie" He really made it sound like a great place, "What's there?" we asked, "Oh, lots of stuff..." So of course, he let us tag along. For the record, the "thriving metropolis" included the following amenities: - A coke machine that still sold coke for a quarter, year was about 1998. That was it.
  14. Guys you're overthinking this! They chose to wear white so Evans won't see the blitzing LBs... natural camouflage from the snow. Also, if the team thinks wearing white will help them win, so be it. Whatever gives them a mental edge.
  15. Every year for them is a rebuilding year lol.
  16. This has no merit as to your predictive capabilities as it is scientific fact. It's like saying the sun will rise tomorrow.
  17. Well, they played against each other as players, who were, at the time, in the same division. Obviously with both of them playing D played directly against each other. Might have to do with the whole deal of O'Shea being part of the Argos squad that broke Glenn's arm back in the 2007 East final. Many could argue that injury cost Doug Brown his best shot a Grey Cup ring. I'd like to think O'Shea was a class act as a player on the field, but it's one of those things where only the players themselves really know for sure.
  18. Bombers are underdogs heading into this game according to the casinos. Good. I want HAM to be fat and happy before we punch them in the mouth.
  19. Regardless who helped him, his tears sustain me.
  20. 1. Defence - Giving up only 3s instead of 7s and you've got a good chance to win. Massive, massive goal line stand at the end. 2. Collaros - took deep shots to stretch the D, and made good throws when necessary, even converted some 2nd and long's after Streveler experiments didn't work. No turnovers. 3. All those Rider fans talking smack making this win that much sweeter! For those keeping track, the Bombers were the first team to win: - A regular season game at New Mosaic Stadium (NMS) - (July 1, 2017) - A Western Semi-Final playoff game at NMS (November 18, 2018) - A Western Final playoff game at NMS (November 17, 2019) WE OWN NEW MOSAIC STADIUM WHEN IT COUNTS (which is in the playoffs). HH - Medlock, quietly perfect yet again.
  21. Friday September 30, 2011, we were down by six (32-26) late in the 4th, and Carr managed to draw a pass interference penalty, bringing the drive down to the one. Offense had three cracks at it and couldn't punch it in. Questionable officiating aside, how do you not get a yard when the opposing D has to line up a yard away from the ball? We did get our vengeance that year though, in a game later that year (Oct 22), we did manage to beat the Als later in the regular season, and they'd end up getting bounced in the playoffs by Hamilton.
  22. By no means memorable, two terrible teams playing in a practically meaningless game, but the comeback win against the BC Lions in 2010 will always hold a special place in my heart, as it was the first live Bomber game I ever attended with my girlfriend (now wife). We were hooked thereafter and bought 2011 season tickets the next year. Old highlights if anyone is interested: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xj8fPebMdPI
