  1. What pipe dream world do you live in where they have teeth?
  2. I think a much better question would be how well (or poor) will Nichols do in Toronto...
  3. Yeah, they should post every 'Rider loss (both playoff and regular season) too. I mean, I know that's a ton of work... just the sheer volume of footage... but, I think I can speak for every other fan base in saying the effort would be worth it.
  4. Trend analysis of vaccinations by citizen, also that way you could keep track of which individuals do (or do not) have the vaccine. I mean, if you really want to get big brother you could then use that information to restrict access to areas (I'm not condoning this, just giving it as an example).
  5. For when COVID mutates and isn't suppressed by the current vaccine. It wouldn't be a bad idea to have a system in place that tracks which citizens are (or are not) vaccinated. Better late than never.
  6. Dude it's COVID of course I'm going to argue with you I am bored as **** lol. 🤣.
  7. People crazy enough to not get the vaccine once widely available would also be crazy enough to forge legal documents like, say... a COVID passport?
  8. We are already in big trouble.
  9. Except that he absolutely did make cuts and restricted government funding to key health providers. WRHA's governmental funding (per their audited financial statements) dropped by about 30% year-over-year when you compare the March 31, 2020 statement of operations to the March 31, 2019 statements. Source: https://www.gov.mb.ca/government/finances/financialstatements.html (Just search "Health" and you can obtain the WRHA financial statements) You cannot tell me a 30% reduction is normal year-over-year fluctuations.
  10. Well, yeah... I mean, Flutie is 58 now, he has slowed down a bit lol.
  11. Topical comedy on the best meal, I ever had ... hilarious and a good laugh given the troubling times we're in (audio only)
  12. I just tell 'Rider fans to call me when they need two hands to count their GC rings. Also, they're such a trash franchise, their first ever GC win was against the Ottawa Rough Riders. They are the only goddamn team name in existence that won the Grey Cup while also losing it. Really sad we didn't have the home opener this year against him... I planned on making a sign referring to him as Speedy Me for his selfish ways lol.
  13. I think you're both right... I've been fortunate that my career allows me to work from home, and I haven't been adversely impacted by the economic slowdown or had any close family or friends impacted by the virus. However, things have certainly changed, and I think Noeller's point is more that we could all use a welcome distraction or a Bomber win or a 'Rider gaffe (or even both), to help get through the daily grind right now, but the virus has even taken that away. On the flip side, TrueBlue is right in that healthcare workers are putting their own lives and their family's lives on the line, and to suggest a single cancelled season of the CFL is such a crushing blow undermines the gravity of the current situation. As someone minimally impacted by COVID, and a non-healthcare worker, I'd say the best we can do is be civil to one another, respect the rules and focus on what brings us together - not sets us apart... Things like ripping on the 'Riders some more!
  14. The cancelled 2020 season hurt the league big time. Having a 2021 schedule out though gives hope, and allows for them to start (hopefully) selling season tickets for the 2021 season. Wishful thinking? Sure... but seriously, what else do you expect them to do? As a season ticket holder myself, we just rolled our 2020 season ticket credit to the 2021 season, but I think this is really just an attempt to get overly optimistic fans to hopefully buy in. All teams need the cash right now more than ever.
  15. I would argue you mentioned one in your first post for WSF. Thigpen giving up the rouge ended up being massive points-wise. If he hadn't done that, Riders are down by six instead of seven and suddenly a field goal seems much more potent. Although on 3rd and 1 from the 1, they likely still would have gone for it, one could easily make the case they instead settle for 3, then have a chance to tie down by 3 again late. Bombers were arguably reeling a bit at that point, I don't think they would've outlasted them in OT. That field goal post looked like it was stuck in the mud on every defense play except the last one.
  16. Dude just died man, show some respect.
  17. I doubt anyone else cares, but I'm making chocolate pancakes for the missus this morning, despite the world being on fire. I suggest you do the same. It's the little things lol.
  18. What a wonderful morning to not be an American citizen.
  19. Well, to put things in perspective the Spanish Flu lasted approximately 2 1/2 years with absolutely no physical distancing or other such measures in place... the much bigger problem though is modern day there are more transmitters (i.e. people), and COVID-19 is much more infectious. On the bright side, uhhh... daylight savings time so a 49-hour long weekend, I guess?...
  20. Obligatory complaint ramble ramble ramble.
  21. I really don't understand why the CFL doesn't consider doing this. It's old footage that was previously paid to produce, and other companies in other industries are doing this in droves. Look at Nintendo - their Switch Membership ($25 / year for online access) targets the younger and older audiences alike. Younger kids are enticed by the ability to play their fancy new games online. Older people like myself can play SNES/NES classics (Donkey Kong Country, Super Mario All-Stars) through the emulators which come as part of the package deal. $25 Nintendo gets every year from me, mostly for old content they already produced 30+ years ago. They've even taken it a step further recently offering "3D Mario All-Stars", which is a bundling of Super Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshine and Super Mario Galaxy for $60 for the Switch... Personally I think that is too much, but it would've cost them minimal amounts to port those old games (which have production costs that are largely sunk costs) onto the Switch. The costs are even lower for the CFL, considering the only real cost would be a secure site and website interface...
  22. I think I slept through an NFL game once by accident... fell asleep watching Antiques Roadshow... woke up to see the winning team winding down the last 2 minutes of the game.
  23. Another classic was Dressler torching them for two TD's in the 2017 season opener after Jonesy released him.
  24. I would pay good money to someone to allow me to openly mock Roughrider players/fans after any of the following events: Throwing an interception Losing a fumble Dropping a pass Getting a divorce after sleeping with their own cousin Sleeping with farm animals Getting remarried to cousin noted in (4), after cousin realized you weren't related to farm animal in (5) Kickers hitting a field goal post Quarterbacks also hitting a field goal post "Sticking it" to your rival by retiring as a QB 2 weeks before season starts, only to have your roster spot taken by Streveler resulting in a Grey Cup win for your rival. That time their mascot was accused of sexual assault (https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/saskatchewan/sexual-assault-advocates-gainer-reaction-1.5222683) All those years we had two teams named "Roughriders" in the CFL and they both sucked. In 1986 they both finished at the bottom of their division. Appropriate. Fun Fact to break things up - Saskatchewan holds the CFL record for largest loss by shutout, and is also the runner up! (they lost 56-0 to Winnipeg on July 5, 1986, and lost to Edmonton 55-0 on August 24, 1959) Every "too many men" penalty they take, seriously it is funny every single time
  25. MBB should pool our funds together to get Duron Carter's name on the cup so when it is all said and done he can at least say he accomplished something 🤣
