  1. Extremely optimistic listing of optimism regarding this season 1) That soul-crushing home playoff loss convinced the missus that when the Bombers make a Grey Cup, we are going to find a way to get to that game. 2) Hosted a home playoff game, in an ridiculously competitive Western division. 3) First season, in a long time that many of us here expected wins, as opposed to just hoping for wins. There is a difference. 4) Matt Nichols is the real deal. 5) I hope Moe Leggett comes back, better than ever.
  2. Other - abandon defensive schemes entirely and dress 46 offensive players every game.
  3. He was referring to the fumble later in the game, it was Jeffcoat that came up from the pile with the ball, but the ruling on the field was Edmonton maintained possession.
  4. I thought that was the sole reason we were going to open the intersection!
  5. Rock solid player at the most important position in the league. Was bummed about the loss yesterday, but glad to hear Nichols is making Winnipeg his permanent home. Sounds like he really likes it here, and that's good 'cuz we like him here too.
  6. They were high on Roc Carmichael at one point too. My only conclusion right now is our scouting staff is just high all the time.
  7. Interesting, good to know... I was at the game and they didn't announce any of that, they didn't even announce he was attempting to challenge. A bit of faith restored on an otherwise miserable Monday.
  8. I gotta say it was very courteous of the refs to give him his challenge and timeout back when he tried to challenge Dressler's fumble that had already automatically been reviewed. He's lucky he didn't get called for delay of game. Does that mean he's too stupid to understand the challenge rules? Or is he so stubborn that he knew he couldn't challenge it, and just wanted to muck around with the refs anyways?
  9. My biggest problem with the fake punt was not the call - it was the execution - they have to sell it - not have 4 guys running around before the ball is snapped. It was telegraphed which is why Edmonton picked up on it.
  10. a state of feeling that accompanies preoccupation with trivial and insipid diversions Source:https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/leucocholy Kind of ironic finding that definition distracted me from doing work...
  11. This mentality, combined with Davis' inability to step up is what cost him 2nd spot on the depth chart methinks.
  12. Fair enough, my point being though that your earlier statement was pretty bold.
  13. Are you younger than 16? If so, you get a pass ... otherwise that statement is an insult to our 2001 offense...
  14. Am I the only millennial cord-cutter here? CJOB is an absolute lifeline for away games for me. Irving and Brown I find make a good team, Irving always has insightful dialogue, but I find Brown finds a way to make it more personable as with most of the situations, he's been there as a player.
  15. I think Denmark's stretch of red-zone awesomeness was a direct result of Dressler being injured or struggling... below are the games that Denmark caught a TD pass in, as well as Dressler's receiving #'s for that same game: Game (TDs for Denmark) --- Dressler's #'s that game Jul-21 Vs. B.C. Lions (1) --- 2 catches for 9 yards Jul-27 - Vs. Montreal (1) --- 2 catches for 24 yards Aug-12 Vs. Hamilton (1) --- Dressler registered no catches Aug-24 Vs. Montreal (2) ---Dressler registered no catches Sep-9 Vs. 'Riders (2) ---3 catches for 56 yards
  16. I am literally quoting you just because you told me not to.
  17. If we hired Buono, would this be your reasoning to fire him immediately as well?
  18. If he wants to use his own, private funds to have his own giant tire fire of a franchise, it is his right as a private owner to do so. That's how capitalism works.
  19. What? Public ownership or private ownership - mismanagement is mismanagement. There are plenty of privately owned and publicly owned entities that have let things slip through their hands and people have (justifiably or not) lost jobs as a result of it.
  20. I think for Reilly people are forgetting that it isn't just about getting to him, you have to actually wrap him up. He's arguably the hardest QB to take down in the league and there's definitely been times where a DE has him dead to rights and he has somehow escaped.
  21. They're trying to sell tickets to the game Sunday, not scare people away.
  22. That's pretty rich coming from a franchise that has 4 Grey Cups in over a century... if the East is pathetic I'm glad you dolts crossed over this year... you deserve to be there!
