Thats the truth ive seen members of his family, not jacked but big ass people. gassing wasnt his problem, it was recovering from getting rocked / chin that haunted him in the past. Hes got loads of stamina. Hunt is like big country when he blows that initial steam at you if you survive it gets much easier. Hunts much better at 2nd wind and recovery but big countrys jaw is some marvel stuff. If brock was to fight some one like JDS or arlovski we would see that in effect again. Especially with jds.

Casually watched some wwf in attitude era but that was it so i cant really say. But from his last year wrestling in college to ufc 1.0 to now he isnt much different in size or shape. I think the novelty has warn off on you. Hes by no means just a run of the mill strong guy. Watching him fight hunt his quickness is still un real.
  6. gotten rid of by other teams with little to no interest coming to the worst team as a last ditch effort and becoming all stars. This happens all the time though, guys are constantly reflushed from other teams pre season cuts, tc guys etc.
  7. Yeah I remember that catch. Also some thing jones at wr. we picked him from torontos PR iirc and started him in the east semi. Had like 200 yards receiving was brought back the next year to do nothin. Good to hear about kingsbury. Never head about timmy chang wouldnt surprise me though. Scott hands of stone cloman comes to mind too.
  8. Coleman and nash were cut and had several very productive years here. Coleman was cut and went to xfl. Bc looked on paper to have won the deal for khari when it happened but it turned out not even close in our favor. He certainly fell through the cracks for them. Bolden and sellers were both productive nfl players cut, came here had some great performances here and then moved back down to the nfl to be even more productive. Bolden was excellent in atlanta before returning here at the end of his career and sellers was a multi time pro bowler.
  9. teams that had guys fall through the cracks.
  10. Mcgarrity oh how high hopes were for you. Soo let down. Kamau incompleterson too. Loved geoff drovers hard nosed play. Thought he really showed some flashes as a DB. Ah vann iirc from dave ritchies alma mater dropped every thing but was brought back twice. Tee martin. after i wanna say 2.5 years when he was cut I remember him mentioning in an interview he never got the hang of 3 downs. The amount of throw aways and dump passes on 2nd down proved that. Never a fan of his, stemming from some greasy with that vols team, but hes turned into a real good coach down south and made some good money for him self. Iirc one of the big list of guys we had picked ahead of tom brady at qb. VInny sutherland. the jet. One big catch i remember. A bunch of catch and fall down at arm tackles on returns and catches. Guy was a high pick for a returnman in the nfl then cut in tc then picked up by the 9ers had a good yards season there as a rookie then was cut and here shortly after out of football. The classic mike quinn football drive from the nfl pre season people talked about for seemingly 10 years. Ron warner, as a DE and at around 250 he was a stud pass rusher before going back to the nfl. Came back at like 285 and had to play DT but couldnt make any thing happen. One of those guys that adds a ton of muscle looks great but loses his step. fred "otis" amey. Had high hopes for him. Not a tall wr or blazing speed. But a quick first step crazy long arms and big hands. Never made much of it though. couple ill throw on the heap. Joshua bostick. WR like 6'3 iirc. Was a machine in camp looked like a world beater. One of the first cuts in camp under ritchie to keep the vets around. Tony ortiz. Mr.TC great resume, another guy who looked like a world beater in camp but couldnt make the club from the tub. i wanna say he was brought back atleast 3 times and to 2 camps. Robert flash gordon. Led us in receiving in 2000. At that point one of the best possession wrs in the league. And worked great with milt. bobby gorgeous loved the moonlight. Acting in movies and playing an AFL season before coming to the cfl. after 2k we had limited funds and had to choose between wrs. We choose robert gordon over our no3 wr who had about half his yards. Bobby was a vet with a history of production. He was a great fit in the locker room. But moonlighting in the AFL got him hurt twice and he tapered off into sub jaimie stoddard levels of production. The no3 wr was geroy simon. derreck smith. Had half a season at wr for us and looked amazing. Like 4 100 yard games in a row. Then dropped off the face of the earth. onterrio smith. very productive nfl player who came to the blue after a steroid /whizzinator suspension in the nfl. Came in drastically over weight. We had the intention of thunder and lightning 2.0 with him and blink. He hurt his foot the first day of practise and that was it. Cancer in the locker room over weight and banged up he was done. Adam pacman jones. Another highly productive nfl player who got into trouble. Bombers signed him and cut him for stupid stuff he said on social media before he ever suited up. Brad banks. The qb not the returnman. Taken in the dispersal draft. He had the tool set and pedigree that screamed cfl star. And none of the play to back it up. We really banked on him developing at one time. Kliff kingsbury. Another high resume guy with the skill set you think would dominate up here but nope. Timmy chang. A personal favorite maligned back up qb prospect of mine. Loved watching him play in hawaii with chad owens. 50 yard bombs on every other play. Just didnt have what it took to make it up here. Brock lesnar. Never played, but taman added him to the Neg list and when he got cut by the vikes hopes were high for about a day.
  11. Thats a bloody good point. Every team has some guys slip through the cracks. BC with khari, harold nash when he came here, marvin coleman, juran bolden mike sellers and doug brown to name a few. But I think thats it, this team kinda seems in shock and expects to break out of it doing more of what they have been doing. Id say the extremely passive systems our O and D run make it even worse. You take guys who dont have that nasty edge and put them in a passive system youll get maligned play. Im still a lil sore with how brandon dysons time here ended. I d throw on more elfred peyton, more miltitude, more harold nash and even more dave donaldson. DD was a bit dense with the penalties but he never took a play off and made the opponent work twice as hard.
  12. we have tons and tons of talent at wr. Our centre started what 9 games last year at centre? not a rookie. We are down like 5 starting dbs and it still is better then the terrible soft deep cover they are forced to play. We have qbing, we dont have a mega star that will carry the team but those are few and far between. You dont need one to win though you need a team that works well to win. Your forgetting and writing off how horrible this team was under mack and the utter disaster he left. Nearly no NI talent, completely rebuilt in to the strength of the team now. Weve got the pieces, tons of pieces and talent. This isnt an air lift and pray team. Weve seen lots of those in the past 20 years. This team has a ton of proven talent that is under performing. Schemes and coaching is to blame. And an OL that is the most under performing of the bunch.
  13. until you end the drought its allways a rebuild. If we were gonna blow it up and tank this year, then might as well get waggoner rotating in there too. But we arent gonna.
  14. probably day to day for 6-8 weeks like every one else

interesting. some one was busted for some thing similar a couple years back. In his last stint the ufc didnt have any real testing. Late in the gsp era no one was caught for any thing. But i agree, hes been big forever. His whole family is huge. Ive seen some of his work outs, dudes legit. People who roid dont stay as healthy as him, or nealy as quick. Roids n lift doesnt make you quick, and hes the quickest big man ive ever seen. This isnt bob sapp. Raphael palmero came out all hell bent for leather against roids and then got busted but i think most people on PEDs would just stay mum on the subject. He normally sits in the 285 range, wasnt crazy cut and easily made weight. Dont see any reason he'd be on it. Wasnt recovering from any injuries i know of, but im not a wwe guy.
  16. youd be amazed how many athletes struggle with maintaining focus during the game even between plays. That kind of thing we should be spotting and relaying between plays and sets though DBs dont usually just jump routes like mad they try to set it up. Also on DBs, and OL and LBs thats why they point to switches and stuff they see to get people to look its far more effective to make some one see it then to have their brain try and recognize the words and take the action.

Not when youve been ripped your whole adult life. Lots and lots of guys are natty and ripped at that age when they start early in adult hood or teens. He also didnt test positive for a PED, he tested for some thing that limits estrogen in the system. Its a counter some guys go to that use micro doses of steroids, or drugs that cause the body to produce more T. If he had been cycling that too, he would have tested positive at some point in that test period for elevated testosterone. Steroids have a lasting effect, Muscles commonly shows advanced recovery for 6-8 monthes after the end of the last cycle on a micro dose. To be honest, the testing system needs tweaks but ufc fighters need tested and proven clean sources of supplements. The amount of contaminated and out right dishonest ingredients in over the counter stuff is crazy.
  18. thats about the only other way to use it. Your not likely at all to get through. If you watch fighters corners yell and see how seldom fighters are able to take any of it in its the same thing. Its a white noise effect. Few people hear or take in much in those kinds of circumstances. Thats also assuming our oc/spotters can see it right away and re act with some thing comprehensible quick enough to leave time for the qb to look and throw it that way. personally i dont think willy has the cerebral nature to make use of any in play advice. Especially the half rattled knock around guy he seems when things arent going well.
  19. Often times old school coaches with go back to basics like this with an under achieving group. Not to mention 3 of our ol are pretty wet behind the ears in the cfl.
  20. when thing get rough, it gets toxic in here. Lots of people wanted dave ritchie fired too. Fans here are quick to drink the hatorade. I dont think there is any chance any one gets fired, cut, or benched of impact before LD.
  21. Could be. The flashes theyve shown though especially in the one win gives me hope. Maybe long term goosen is a guard not a centre. I think a healthy keeping would make a big impact for us.
  22. http://www.winnipegfreepress.com/sports/football/bombers/wylie-trying-to-work-his-magic-387662101.html A great read. I think it points to a few things. The problems on offense arent 1 dimensional. Every one is sucking a bit. Save for maybe andrew harris. I think he's right and that personnel isnt our biggest issue. Makes me wonder if some of our guerrillas on the line just arent picking it up quick enough. Chung has had some bad plays, as they all have. But he and bryant have also had the most big plays for OL. As goossen matures and gets better with communication and switches i think we will see a great improvement on the line. Dave ritchie used to talk about new guys and changes needing time to gel, even though he was the most vet friendly coach in eons around here. Time and experience together may be what this team needs. Or maybe a shake up. Either way great read and a flicker of hope remains for improvement moving forward.
  23. terrible idea to try and talk through the play. Ever have a boss that hovered over your shoulder and micro managed to the greatest degree? Doesnt work well. Even worse when your getting chased by 250-300lbs guys with vicous intent.
