Yeah, hoping they fall in love with his arm talent and intangibles. Imo his intangibles are stand out in the us. Hard to find a qb with a good head on his shoulders at that level with strong talent. Maybe they feel like he’d be worth seeing how he looks after a year of coaching as he will likely get more out of it than most guys. A lot of QBs that sit pr don’t do much or get much of a shot. And don’t deal well with that reality. I think his not needing to adjust to the Canadian game up here so much as adjust to the game speed could give him an inside track after a year of pr coaching down south. And boy could we use hitting the lotto on a guy like him. Yep. Could’ve traded Zach for actual assets, kept brown, and signed an elite free agent for the price difference. Sickening.

Keys to the game, 1, win on first down. 2 and outs have haunted us this year, largely due to a lack of success on first down. Gotta Get good gains on first down and keep the chains moving. 2, zach can’t see red. Calgary has been tough on us and zach. Can’t have him throwing the ball to the wrong jerseys, and part of that is him not getting hit a lot and the WRs seeing some open field not a sea of red over top of them. 3, defence needs to continue to build on last week. The front got tremendous pressure on albeit a bad ol. The secondary improved with out bridges giving up massive gains. But they got banged up too. The way our offence is going the D will need to win us games this year in order to compete. Gotta keep going forward and improving can’t take steps back. Bonus key, get out healthy and fresh. We have 4 days between this game and the next with 2 flights to make. If any thing close to a blow out happens we gotta get guys out early. This would be a very easy pair of games to drop despite good efforts based on freshness and health. It’s gonna be a long haul still to the next bye as well. players to watch, zach, Mitchell, Bryant, Rando, kola, Jjones, Dexter, and kelly. bonus guy to watch is Thomas/schmekel. With no Lawson in we might see this dreadful duo combine for nearly even single snap, which won’t be good at all. If we go more to full imp front it’ll be a good night for the D.

Boy Calgary has been tough on Zach this year. I’m by no means convinced Zach is healthy, especially with the allusions to him getting concussed. 439 yards, 2 tds 4 picks in 2 games vs Calgary this year. They’ve got how to play our O down pat. We need to see some significant wrinkles and adjusted game plan to have a chance. I look forward to seeing the D get a rematch vs vaj but boy I’m not sure about the O vs Calgary.

You can airlift guys, but you really have to dig through a bunch at one position to find a gem, and you have to be willing to play them. Cycling guys on the PR won't yield any players this year. You are right that the nfl air lifts after TC cuts is not what it used to be. We make even less of it than we could, though.

I was low-key worried they would sit Rando for Lofton because of last year and his rookie year. So I'm pleasantly surprised they kept the much better T on the roster. Lofton is a solid guy to have on the PR as well, especially while Venterpool is hurt. Because he's average at RT, a body at LT, and a good guard, once Vanterpool is back to 100% though, I'd rather see an NFL cut young T with upside brought in to groom on the PR. Its odd though, they can look at guys like Rando, Lofton, Vanterpool, and Wallace, then make good roster decisions on the OL. But look at Kola, who can't even reliably snap the ball this year, and continues to make bad decisions. Idk how you justify that internally as a coaching staff and to the players. Roster is solid. Would've liked to see Ball come off instead of Cobb, though. Dropping an IMP Lber for Woods would've been huge with Lawson hurt. A DI wr would be nice. but we don't have any one other than the fresh rookie, and we wouldn't use them in the O any way. last week we saw a good chunk of Kelly deep in the dime package. I wonder if we will see vaval get some of those dime/wil snaps. Be nice to see Shay/Smith get some of those. Maybe if Bonds continues to stink, he will be the next DB to "go down" / get pulled for vaval.

It’s a lazy crutch. If your qb isn’t able to build chemistry with a guy that’s a problem. But you can’t stick to only guys he has spent a lot of time with and who he has it with from practice.

What’s odd is we went from ride or die with him as starter to gone soo fast. Never should’ve made the team out of camp. But atleast hes gone now. think he was the last db, though we had a bunch before him at db. Did Johnson spent the year on the pr after being benched last year? Maybe he wasn’t willing to sit on the pr, perhaps he knew Jy wouldn’t put him back on?

Nichols also had medlock kicking 6fgs a game, an all time defence and ol, and still got boed off the field, then his replacement lead to two back to back QBs. Horrible red zone percentages, league leading 2 and outs in O etc. Not really an aiming point. zachs had 1 good half this year in 5 starts. I mean you could count zachs good half’s of football on one hand going back to late 2023. I wonder how many picks Zach has this year in fg range and how many went for pick 6s. Gotta be averaging taking more than 1 score off the board a game with just picks. Streveler isn’t the same guy he was. That’s true. At the same time, we don’t need the guy he was back. We need him to do what he’s doing, but do it better. He has been better than zach this year. 95 pass attempts as compared to 124. 2 starts to 5. Good half to good half. The difference is when strevy is not on, we punt a lot. When zach is not on, he’s running us off the field and out of games. We need strevy to get the ball out quicker, speed up the offence and decision making process. Chris has showed he can accurately hit passes all over with in the flow of the offence. Zach can hit moon shots out of the blue, but we don’t need strevy to do that. And we can’t get zach to run tempo or ball control passing game plans, and we can’t win when he isn’t clicking on deep balls. And while he can hit them at random, he can’t hit them at will any more. it’s not a great position to make a decision either way. But with one guy you have the ability to limit damage, and improve. You don’t have that with zach. And we should be turning over every stone looking for a vet to bring in. Each week should be a battle for the starting spot. And the hook can be liberal for either guy. But none of that will happen. We will run with zach till he can barely stand and hold the ball. Little on throw.

yuuuup. Maybe our system is just too complicated for him. You know, like situationally. We might be on the opponent's side of the field, late in the 4th, with the best back in the league and the ability to kill time and kick a fg to go up by 2 scores. But for us, that's when you go deep. Not as intuitive as most offensive systems. Idk what to expect if he does play, but it would just be hillarious if he had the best game of the year for a bomber wr.

I cant imagine how you could grade much worse tbh. He had some brutal snaps, the usual durp in run pro and full time pylon in pass pro. interesting they had Rando top rated, and lofton in the top 9. The list was interesting, but hit home why I don't put stock into their rankings.
