Yeah I think we got away maybe with more tugs, but they got away with the most egregious plays. Guys like paddy and Stan know exactly what they can get away with. I’ve got no gripe going either way in the call on bonds pick. That was a tough play to call with all but one angle at super slow mo. My only issue is the quality of the challenge review, and the integrity of the process. I want that to be strong and consistent. I don’t agree, I think it’s clear he didn’t trip the wr. I also think it’s critical to throw those challenges if you think they won’t over turn it. Make it stand out and appeal it. Force the league to address it and change. Allowing them to brush it under the rug is being complicit. also, we had a time when those calls were super soft. But that was overhauled a couple years ago. It’s not that way any more. Incidental dpi is not that common and WRs don’t dive and draw calls easily.

I hate that mentality. Every things a conspiracy and the league/refs prop x team. Neither the league nor the refs are remotely competent enough to prop up their own jobs little on go way outside that and do some thing much harder. I think the reffing was fairly even in its badness last night. We lost two turn overs on questionable situations. And honestly, though I saw a couple brutal holds against our dl, our dl is not good at getting pressure. Our ol benefited more from the modern lack of holding calls than our dl suffered from it. This is the way the league is now. Holding and blocking penalties are rare especially on the ol. You see them far more on special teams.

First maybe two seasons he was way more aggressive with taking the ball, fakes etc. back then it seemed like we needed every single drive and chance to win games. Since 19 gc, that hasn’t been the case and he’s gotten more and more conservative. For me personally, you gotta be in extremely windy conditions, or windy plus muddy/wet/cold, to give up a drive. Choosing the wind doesn’t give you any extra time with or against the wind, it just ensures that you have it in the direction you want in the 4th. The actual advantage is pretty slight and just makes closing out games easier. But you shouldn’t get beaten by factors like the weather if you are well coached team. Also, the wind is not a simple advantage or disadvantage. It’s easier to kick longer with the wind, but you lose accuracy. Kicking with the wind is an advantage, but throwing with the wind is a disadvantage. Generally offences and QBs do better throwing into the wind than with it. Because it doesn’t mess with your accuracy as much, and it’s easier to throw harder into the wind than to take some thing off with the wind and retain a high level of touch on throws.

He was better in pass rush than he has been, a bit worse in run stopping but that was a good struggle for the front 6 in general tonight so it isn’t all on him, pass cover he was his usual self. Too shallow never in place to prevent a pass but rallies to the ball wherever it goes. Better than biggie any way. Kyrie played his best game of the year but still far off where he needs to be.

How bout this to, shanky legs averaged 43.8 per punt but with no hang time at all and leake gobbled up an easy 13.6 per return. 30.2 net which set up a ton of drives from mid field. Grace net was 39. Poor Sheahan must’ve been punting into that wind all night 🤧

Honestly I’m still torn on that one. His second arm placement, he tucks it and rolls, it was a mess even with a ton of angles all day to review and nearly frame by frame slow mo. I can’t stand that inconsistency though. If that’s how you review, do it every time. You can’t work that hard to over turn a call once in a while. They get way to many calls wrong and miss to many to be taking that much time to make one random call right. But if you’re gonna do that, you gotta do em all like that. Them giving up on the run when the game was close was soo stupid. They could’ve gone ground n pound on us. In general mak used a lot of bomber ball stuff tonight. Jet motion, izr, the motion screen etc. but he got away from what had them in a position to win the game. Much better team than I expected them to be though. And they aren’t a free spot on the bingo card any more. They get more confident and start expecting to compete each game and it’ll yield results.

Forget the hot air blowing all day about phantom wind (real or not, impactful or not.) The coaching decision of the day to talk about is not challenging the dpi. 3 point swing with possession, and that was the worst dpi in ages. That call was so offensively soft and wrong it deserved to be challenged no matter yardage or points. That was disgusting.

Bad lobs were mostly first and early 2nd Q. I’m hoping he’s got it out of his system. Historically slow starter to seasons, too.

Correlation isn’t causation either.

1 Zach. Nuff said 2 wr core. Especially Demski but they all stepped up. 3 Wallace. Pass pro was really good most of the night across the board but in the 4th the hoggies especially Wallace went to work in the run game and took it over. hh zachs td scramble. Didn’t know he still had it in him block of the game on zachs td run Cooley had a great block crunch of the game. Ayers on the ko to start the second half. Honourable mentions Peterson, holm, Nichols,

Wallace has turned it up for the 4th. Love to see it.

Cooley with a great block to

The thing to note here is, zach kept the ball in a position he could throw out of, kept his feet calm and wrapped it up when he needed to. Last year he was panicking and tucking it way too early that’s great sign.

Zach breaks out the legs

Still wish Wilson was doing the short yardage

No hole lol

Maybe run off tackle we aren’t getting gaps. Wide zone or outside zone

Does seem like zach has shaken off the ducks.

Just need chocolate thunder

Ol is getting its Ass handed to it in run pro
