Bomber News: 2019 Off Season
Cant remember it at all. That level of depth and developmental talent is incredible. IN years gone by having any of the bottom 6 would be reason for great optimism. Agree, though in general Id rather have a NI wil beside bighill and an IMP S. But im pretty high on jones. Out side of jones Id rather have fenner/gaitor. One at sam one at S. But I dont see it happening.

Also cant underestimate how much a small to medium school will pay to keep a great coach. the USCs, floridas, alabamas etc get the media attention but the real security is in the 2nd tier colleges. Jones negotiated a contract worth $800,016 during the 2004 season https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/June_Jones https://herosports.com/college-football/coaches-salary/june-jones Idk how reliable the second one is but yeah, Established HC in a good conference doesnt hurt for money.

Not as big an issue for an OL imo. Plus he was more CFL sized and tried to go up prior to an NFL Push. Id bet hes pretty close to CFL size already. We will see how badly he wants it in camp. Getting the sharp edge of aggression and technique only comes with desire and work. Unless he comes in a hot mess Id be surprised if he isnt on the IR/PR this year based on his potential alone.

He signed today. Its one of those sleeper picks, not a lot of people out side of bomber town and a couple national CFL guys are aware of what a steal he was.

The MBB All-time Blue Bomber team: Mount Rushmore and the all-time Happy Honkers
Agree. You can add all the fluff you want after that, but if they dont have a chance of making the top 3 they only serve to split votes for the last spot.

havent seen the 2econd group signing, but desjarlais, and Richards. I think hallett signed Already. See the second group now. Dont see richards, desjarlais or kongbo.

I could see that being the reason why the other jones left. Didnt consider that point. Football ops should have a salary cap imo. And it should be tied to revenue as should the players cap. Yeah its gotta be really hard to try and fill a role like that this late. Not to mention if you want to poach another teams coach for a promotion (Ie if they wanted buck to be their OC) then both teams are in a tough spot.

If only. I feel like its not that high. More like 70% range. But it is worlds better then the era with no challenge. I also think many decisions come up that are really tough calls. A lot of grey area and judgement involved.

🤣 This seems crazy to me. Jones was just coming into his own as a coach in the cfl, took a step back to open up a job for steinhauer, now he leaves to the XFL? Are they going to play a game before the cfl season ends? Mind blowing to me. I wonder if the league should have punitive measures in contracts for coaches that do this stuff. I feel like if you quit on your team after the draft/FA you've caused them to harm by not leaving in the normal offseason window. This is what the 3rd time weve seen this this off season?

Upcoming Movies
Hopefully, it'll be fairly short-lived like in the comics. It seems like he wears nearly every suit ever seen in the comics in just this one movie though. I feel like they are trying to speed through the Spiderman stories we've already seen. Which I appreciate. Fingers crossed thatll itll be good.

Game of Thrones: Final Season Discussion: ==> MAJOR SPOILERS<==
I really hate the dumbing down they've done to Tyrion. Danny is soo unrelatable now too. Can't even see her side, and it's like they aren't trying. This second to the last episode also felt like it could have been half an hour without losing anything of substance.

Bomber News: 2019 Off Season
Not if you bring them in cheap / on an incentive-laden deal. In the cfl no one is a contractual liability with none guaranteed deals for most of the year and most of the players. If we brought in one low risk high reward vet like toliver, or chris williams or sinkfield thatd be perfect. Though I dont really expect it at this point.

CIS Draft - May 2nd
Handsofstoneman. Iirc wasn't Cloman a PR pickup from someone? We had some real stinkers at WR for a good while.

Bomber News: 2019 Off Season
Id take a gamble on him if it was a cheap contract. Low risk high reward vets are great to have in camp.

I think gray is taking a job this year. Desjarlais and eli are great picks. The OL is gonna be a WAR in tc. I cant wait to watch it.

I could see foketi inside, with nuefeld and couture getting pretty rough actually. But I really dont think thatll be the case.

CIS Draft - May 2nd
haha soo true. It was an era prone to guys getting yanked fast. If you really wanna develop and evaluate a young QB, you gotta give him a bunch of starts in a row. Its very very seldom an instant click. Ricky ray didn't finish games for a long time (splitting with maas) AC was a fringe player for years, Khari took some bumps and time to fully be ready etc. Even damon allen was an average at best passer for a long time. I never like it when QBs get tossed too quick. As long as its someone worth committing to.

Yeah and IMP db seems to be a plentiful position to recruit from currently, plus one the franchise seems to excel at.

Bomber News: 2019 Off Season
I hasn't been the best or arguably so since bonds departure. It was good, but not great. Ols arent always the sum of their parts. They can be far more, or far less. It has the potential to be very good after the kinks are worked out and we re-establish a core of guys. Until then it has the potential to be bad. Wont know how its shaping up till camp.

CIS Draft - May 2nd
No doubt. Frank broyles award for top asst coach in the ncaa, had a great gig at USC for a while now hes back with the vols. His coaching career is waaay better then his pro career ever was.

Also the OL. A lot of roll over there. We have the talent in place to fill the gaps but how they mesh and work together plus how long that takes is a question. S is a bit of a question, as is WIL.

Both would be good pick ups as well. Id really like it to be one of the LBers. Any of those guys next to bighill would flourish like crazy.

Bomber News: 2019 Off Season
Fantastic move. 29, doesnt have high mileage but has come up big when given the chance. Gives us a different look with his size and strength. Id assume that with the time lapse since FA opened and lack of buzz before that he didnt sign a crazy expensive deal. Love love love this fit. I agree. I would love to see singleton here. Thurman or Eguavon would be good too. Imagine if we got duke too though? 🤤

CIS Draft - May 2nd
