  1. If NXT were televised (outside of WWE network) I think I'd have a better appreciation for it, but as it stands it's just a developmental program in my eyes that has inferior talent either trying to learn the ropes or get over enough to jump up to Raw or SD. There was an article a while back on canoe that discussed this and how Raw and SD could trade a few wrestlers to NXT to not only breath some new life into both programs, but also prop up NXT a bit in that it is being seen as a desired place to wrestle, not just a stepping stone to bigger and better. There was a pretty good list of wrestlers they thought hit a bit of a standstill on the big 2 that could use the scenery change. For most it was actually former NXT wrestlers, who saw quite a bit of success there, but were completely abandoned once they moved
  2. IMHO Strowman was best served as the muscle for someone else on the stick (Wyatt for example). With Bray and Strowman on the same program these days I wonder if they will try to resurrect that plot somewhere down the road. I also wouldn't mind seeing him act as a goon for hire (kinda like APA back in the early 2000's) . I could see guys like Enzo (if he gives up on the Big Show), and the Miz seeking his services every now and then. Either that or he needs himself a Paul Heyman, or some sort of manager to level off what he's missing to be the top guy imo
  3. I think he's confusing you with KlutchK who 100% threw out a $50 bet against another poster the riders would finish better than the bombers. A few other posters said they would take him up on the bet and he declined
  4. I believe the first 2 movies had help from stan lee in some capacity, the 2015 reboot was all fox. If they do ever try it again I hope it's 100% marvel doing it, i'm sure they would do it a lot more justice sticking to it's roots then trying to clobber a round peg into a square hole hoping there's magically going to be box office $ because of the name on the poster instead of a good story and decent CGI
  5. I'd also like to give an honourable mention to all the people dressing up for games and making it look like a "Let's Make a Deal" taping. That person in the north end zone in a full bear costume get's top marks as it must have been hot AF wearing that all night. some other costumes I saw were the Legion of Doom bomber fan, the ultimate warrior bomber fan, horseface bomber fan, and up near the section we were in a guy painted up in gold with a #69 "Goldmember" gold bomber jersey with gold hat and gold cane There is also a guy in, i believe section 209, wears a #1 "First Down" Jersey and sports a foam #1 blue finger, there is likely not a fan in the place that gets as excited for a first down as this guy, was making my son laugh all night - such as if there was a delay in the refs calling a first down, he would jump up and cock his foam finger like a gun just eagerly waiting to celebrate another good stuff!
  6. Nichols played great too, but I'm really starting to dislike his little hops in the pocket. Seemed whatever evasiveness he had in the first half disappeared
  7. Just got back from the game; my 3 stars tonight were 1. Harris the RB 2. Harris the Receiver 3. Adams HH to the secondary + Leggett. Carmichael got beat a few times but over all seemed like the secondary was playing with some fire
  8. well if they followed the star wars rebel story this is one story they could do during his time on tatooine, but ill put in spoiler function just in case; but again, this story isn't really an Obi-Wan centered story, it just happens to cross his path
  9. yeah you would think "prequel" was the young(er) Obi-Wan who was still a padawan to Qui-Gon Jinn at the start of and throughout Episode I. Unless it follows his training as a youngling at the Jedi Academy, not really sure where they would go with this movie as a precursor to the Skywalker saga. IMO they would have been better off following General Kenobi during the Clone Wars, or some of what happened during the exile years on Tatooine., while watching over Luke. I watched Star Wars Rebels with my kid, and his stay on Tatooine wasn't always uninterrupted. I suppose they could have ran with that, but that whole story revolved more around a different jedi
  10. my sons probably played against your son all of those years as he's 13 and this would be his 6th yeah as well in the MMFA - except he took this year off to focus on basketball as its now offered in school, but plans to get back at er (football) next year. I'm sure every club has them, but one more recent example is Geoff Gray coming out of the same program my sons plays with (prior to the bisons) Have to imagine kids like that set nice inspiration for a lot of the youngsters that anything is possible with hard work and dedication. I can't see many kids this age doing steroids, but definitely as they get older got to be leary of who they are around. all it takes is a teammate, coach or agent (later on) to derail it all with shady influence.
  11. nvm found it on Kodi, what a great episode the season finale should be a gooder next week
  12. if you put a little make up on reilly he could pass as the french clown from Cirque du Puree *with a french accent* "I cannot get the lid off my jar of rainbows"
  13. A Bomber Win and me winning the 50/50 could be shaping up to be a nice lil thursday. Let's make it 4 in a row!
  14. Only thing i'm in the market for atm is an acoustic bass for some bonfire jam sessions. Me and buddies usually just do multiple guitars and some bongos but would be cool to get one. don't usually see many for sale other then at places like Long and McQuade but even then it's anywhere from $400-3K for one
  15. true but, the FF were the first team created by Lee and Kirby, I'm sure for sentimental reasons they would keep trying to do FF until they finally got it right. IMO they really just needed to tweak the originals. The reboot in 2015 was brutal and took a huge step backwards
  16. Heard on the radio just before leaving work today Disney/Marvel is trying for the rights to Silver Surfer from Fox yet again. Originally back in 2012 there were rumors Marvel offered Fox the rights to Daredevil in exchange for Silver Surfer and Galactus but fox denied those negotiations ever occurred and Daredevil ended up becoming a netflix series. Fast forward to 2015 and Marvel gave Fox access to the properties of The Hellfire Club and Legion for soon to be released tv series, and there's a lot of speculation as to what Marvel got in return. Marvel has 3 untitled movies slated for May 2020, July 2020, and November 2020. After The Fantastic Four bombed in 2015, the scheduled sequel for June 2017 was shut down, and lot of people think one of the these 3 movies will be marvel's take at the FF. One of the others could be a Silver Surfer origins story and the 3rd.... IMO Marvel owns the rights to Namor the Sub-mariner, and with Aqua Man scheduled for 2018, i have a hunch Marvel will see how that does first, then come back and blow it out of the water (no pun intended...kinda)
  17. what a beat up Eskimos roster. If we don't dominate both sides of the ball I'll be greatly disappointed
  18. Don't get me wrong, most heels deserve a little revenge on them from time to time too. But with Cena far too often he runs his mouth about being a man and winning/losing fair and square...blah blah so it's kind of hypocritical for him to do this. Yes Corbin interfered but with the way Cena's character is portrayed week to week, his score would/should be settled in the ring the following week, as well as getting another chance with Jinder. I'm not a fan of these antics because they are moves made by heels which Cena is 100% not. Orton on the other hand flip flops so much at any given time something like this is just a snake being a snake(viper) and more expected imo anyways
  19. Cena interfering like that then gloating after didn't sit well with me. After all these years of him basically being a poster boy for "doin it by the book" that was a very heel-ish move even if it was against a heel...fighting a heel. Would have made more sense if it was someone like Randy Orton doing it as Orton has always flip flopped between heel and face so it'd be more fitting
  20. I had a few of the spawn comics too as a kid, but mostly was fascinated with the toys. Speaking of savage dragon, I was recently on a retro cartoon kick with my son, showing him things i grew up with, Savage dragon was one of the cartoons we watched together maybe about a month ago. I couldn't put my finger on where i heard his voice before (Jim Cummings) but looking at his resume it's pretty impressive. A few of his more notable ones were the Shredder in the original ninja turtles cartoon, and more recently Hondo Ohnaka on Star Wars Rebels. He's been in a lot of stuff i grew up with like Biker Mice from Mars, Gargoyles, Animaniacs, a ton of Marvel shows..etc
  21. Just looking up some upcoming movies here's a few; Spawn reboot in 2018 - instead of redoing the origin story it will likely be mainly following the detective Twitch as he investigates a bunch of murders with spawn being a pivotal but kind of secondary character. McFarlane compared it to Jaws, in that while the shark is the main antagonist, it isn't seen all that much on camera to have a big impact. They are trying to do that with Spawn (tho he is an anti hero) and of course it will be an R rated film. No actors announced yet, but McFarlane is set to write and direct with Jason Blum producing (The Purge, Split, Paranormal Activities, Get Out) Speaking of Jason Blum, some of his projects of note in pre-production for 2018 are the Purge: The Island and Insidious Chapter 4
  22. I've been looking for a new show to watch, and while there is no specific premiere date (only sometime in 2017 announced) I might give this one a try
  23. I don't recall the issues (like possible injuries or just bad plays..etc) but this is Nichols playoffs to date; 2012: WSF: 3/7 for 51 yards 0 TDs 0 INTs - Kerry Joseph was the starter and took the majority of reps in the loss 2014: WSF 12/23 for 59 yards 0 TDs 1 INT - Reilly came in relief going 6/8 for 53 yards 0 TDs 0 INT, and they still beat the riders 18-10 2014 WF: 9/15 for 92 yards 0 TDs 0 INT - Reilly i think may have started that game going 20/33 for 216 yards 2 TDs 1 INT losing to the stamps 43-18 that's all the playoffs he's played, so i guess with that said he does have very minimal post season experience/success but if i had to base his production on recent memory he's trending the right direction
  24. I for sure think the wheels are coming off on thursday. The bombers starting the 50/50 off at 100K should ensure a sell out, edmonton on 2nd straight road game, short week for both teams, but biggest change this week is likely no Howard or Sewell on Edmonton's DL and quite frankly I'm tired of watching summersaults lol
